Canon EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR Camera with 24-105mm f/4L II Lens

Upgrade From 5d Mark IIIs
Iv used the camera only a couple of times and I can see a difference in the focusing system as compared to the 5d III. I never really had a problem with the previous model though. The 5d IV is giving me more detail with the higher megapixel count. The touch screen is a great feature; changing settings is almost instantaneous. I love my two 5d IIIs and plan on keeping them. The button systems are the same so I am able to change settings without ta... Show More

Worth the Jump!!!
It was definitely worth the jump from my 5D Mark III. Images are much cleaner and the dynamic range appears to be much better resulting in a much nicer image right out of the camera. The touch screen is a great addition that I use on a regular basis. I don't always want to use the GPS but do use the Wifi to transfer images to my iPhone and iPad. I only wish that connecting to the Wifi could be accomplished easier, some times it works and sometime... Show More

First Full Frame, coming from 80D
My first full frame, coming from a 80D. Overall it is worth upgrading. I wanted a FF for quite a few years, back when the 5D Mark 3 was out, but decided to pull the trigger on the 4 finally. So far I only own two lens for it, EF 50mm f1.8 STM andEF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens (and EF 2X III Extender). I have used the two on my 80D with different field of view as it is cropped sensor. On the 5DMk4, there are huge differences: AF is much better,... Show More

Incredible Upgrade!
Primarily I use this camera for business, shooting jewelry for product use on web and social media. Our business also hosts events and does quite a bit of billboard, web and print marketing. This camera is an upgrade from our previous 5DMarkIII. The new features which appeal to me the most are the touch screen LED display, faster/improved focusing and the WiFi capability. The camera body is rugged with improvements on several buttons (texture add... Show More

EOS 5D Mark IV lives up to its publicity
I have used my new 5D Mark IV, an evolution from my 5D Mark II (I skipped a generation), initially running some quality tests and familiarization and then a 1/2 day photo shooting portraits of a client in several locations. I was impressed by the auto focus and I used LiveView's tap-on-the-screen focus and shoot feature more often than I expected. The images look superb. I can't comment on noise because everything was shot at ISO 320 or less. Whe... Show More

Its a sexy beast
Prior to this, my highest end camera was the Canon 70D. Which I loved, it was easy to get the hang of, not too expensive if you dropped it on a rock - just a decent camera. But I wanted the top shelf Canon that wasnt the 1DX, because I had no interest in carrying that heavyweight around for what I was doing. The 5D Mark IV was the logical choice. Its smart, its smooth, it feels good in the hand... its what I have been dreaming of for years. I don... Show More

Great camera with low noise and wonderfully sharp images
I purchased the 5D Mark VI with the 24-105 F4L II lens having had all of the previous 5D models and the original 24-105 lens. I am a semi-professional photographer and found the 5D Mark IV to be a welcome change from previous models. It is wonderful in low light with very little noise, creates great image files which are sharp and printable with 17 x 22 paper (and probably bigger). I'm very pleased with the camera. The lens is also very sharp and... Show More

Better than expected, coming from 1DXII and 5DsR owner.
Bought this initially as a backup camera for my 1DXII and 5DsR for a safari trip. Needed a camera with f8 61pt AF for use, and fast enough for wildlife. The quality is excellent as expected, and the user interface, touch screen menu and zoom, wifi, gps, is a joy to use. Makes you wish 1DXII has the similar features. A good balance of file size between 1DXII and 5DsR. SD card is usable for stills, but for 4k video CF is way to go. Touch to shutter... Show More

Raw Editor Needed!
Thus far the camera feels pretty good and performs well. It's difficult to tell how good the photo's are since you can only edit with the canon raw editor... good luck. Come on adobe hurry and get us the fix. The focus is amazingly fast, the video looks good terrific in final cut however there is a lot of rolling shutter. Stay put. The HDR video at 1080 is extremely good. I think it's a 5 when I can tell what the heck I can do with the photo. Oh,... Show More

So exciting!
B&H is incredible, first off. I was so surprised when my camera shipped that I almost cried reading the email! I was expecting a wait (from pre-ordering) and they exceeded my expectations. The camera is incredible, such an improvement from the 5D MK III. There has been lots of critics but I have nothing negative to say about this camera. It's amazing. Love the touch screen feature. One thing to be aware of is Adobe hasn't quite released their upd... Show More

Wonderful camera - almost everything I need
This camera is fabulous for landscapes and portraits and some sports. I still use my 7Dmkii at times for sports and birds for the speed and reach. This camera has great sensitivity, low noise, great autofocus, reasonable multi-frame speed. The touch screen is nice, useful in many situations. I do wish it had an articulated rear screen so I could hold the camera up high and still frame the picture. The 4k video is wonderful even though I don't use ... Show More

Do it all
I decided to replace my old 7D and the D70 that I bought to shoot documentary style. The dual pixel technology was the determining factor as I hate out of focus footage! I was attracted to the 5D Mk4 because it combines the high resolution of a full frame 35mm and the dual pixel (aka auto focus in movie mode). The only thing I will regret is the swiveling LCD, such a great feature in movie mode! I love the extra resolution that the 5D offers in c... Show More

Easy transition from 80D
I finally made the jump from my trusty Canon 80D to this body. I haven't had much opportunity to use it yet, but was out on a cloudy day and got much finer detail on a distant Northern Shrike than I've ever been able to get before at that low light level and distance. A very rare (for northern Minnesota) Barn Owl was in a field and seen only in flight, and although my shots weren't great--the bird was moving, I was shivering, and the 300mm f2.8 l... Show More

A Marked Update
I recently upgraded from the mark III to this IV. While I concur with nearly all the positive reviews here, here are my top three benefits from this newest version: - the sensor alone is worth the price of admission. ISO 1600 has no noticeable noise and you only see it in small increments North of there. Low light situations aren't nearly as challenging as with the M III. This said, dual pixel is not a useful feature in my opinion. - WiFi. Not to... Show More

Still dialing it in
Have been a canon shooter for years I looked forward to this update camera. The focus is amazingly quick and sharp. The video is very good but why they didn't use fast cards is beyond me. The files are extremely large and the codex is old. Make you you have a large hard drive. I still don't have the image quality settings dialed in like the 5Ds I was using. I intent testing further this weekend. The camera is simple to operate if you had any 5D w... Show More

Fantastic
Have had now for a couple of weeks and absolutely love it. Upgraded from a Canon 70D after test driving the Sony A7RII for awhile and found that the ergonomics/battery life of the Sony was not something I enjoyed. Plus reviewing images took a couple of secs on the A7 whereas I was accustomed to instant access on my Canons (I know - patience is not my strong suit). AF has been fantastic. The bump in MP has allowed me to crop down much further than... Show More

Most AWESOME camera I have ever used!
It's fantastic! Lighter then the 5D Mark III, better dynamic range, more cropping capability, and faster - I'm in love! I like that the buttons are pretty much the same as the 5D III, however, I do not use the touchscreen, cause who wants finger prints all over the viewing window? There is a bit of a learning curve with this camera, in that the settings that might work perfectly with the 5D III, may not translate to the 5D IV. Practice makes perf... Show More

Amazing camera
Great build quality as expected, amazing sensor updates. Upgraded from a Mark III to the Mark IV for video purposes, and I am very impressed with the new features, although they are mostly upgrades. The built-in WIFI is super easy to use and as a solo photographer it drastically improves my workflow. Much better than independent triggers such as Alpine Lab's pulse (although it's a great device as well). The dual-pixel auto focus for video is an i... Show More

BIG TIME UPGRADE
I have had many Canon cameras from 20 D and upward , The last one was a 5D mark III. This canon 5D mark IV is a big time upgrade in quality. There is so much to learn about this camera you need to download a PDF copy of manual so you can read it. The book that comes with it is a major disappointment. It's font and diagrams make it very difficult to read and learn from. Canon needs to fix that problem. The camera is way better that the 5D mark III... Show More

Sad Ending....
Sadly my 5D Mark IV and 16-35 L lens went down a mountain 5 days after purchasing it, so I can't really give a full review of it. Yes I felt like throwing up as I watched it tumble and bounce and tumble and bounce away. I did search for it twice and never found it, but luckily someone did find my SanDisk CF card. However, I can say the 5 days I did use it, the camera produced some amazing photos. This was an upgrade to my 4 year old 6D, which als... Show More

This was an upgrade from a 6D for me, and the difference is unbelievable. Although I have only been able to get out with it a few times so far, it has performed flawlessly. Fast, very accurate AF, and extremely good low light performance, well beyond my expectations. The high resolution allows a fair amount of cropping when needed as well. JPEG conversion does a great job, usually only needs slight tweaks. The only real drawback is lack of raw su... Show More

Tried other data cards that worked in my 7D ii and same problem off and on. Would work but then lock up after reviewing photos. Switched lenses and it worked fine for about 50 shots.
