Canon EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR Camera with 24-105mm f/4L II Lens

Great piece of photographic equipment
Great camera. Does everything you need it to do except long burst shooting in RAW. But it does a good enough job speed-wise to shoot things like muay thai, boxing, wrestling or football you just cannot shoot on burst and hope for a good shot. And for portraits it's a wonderful camera. Pair it with good glass and you'll get great shots. This camera is not for beginners who shoot in auto mode. Best 5D to date
The mark iv iteration of Canon's 5D is vastly improved over earlier versions of this camera. The new sensor is not only capable of greater detail, but more importantly, it allows shadows to be pulled up in post processing without the introduction of massive amounts of noise, as was the case with all the previous 5Ds and the 6D as well. My only caveat is that the complexity of the focusing system is a bit daunting. And the manual, which must have ... Show More

In the Top-2 EOS 5D cameras ever made! Highly recommended.
I just wanted to drop a line here and a 5-star rating to one of my favorite cameras to date. For wildlife the 7D Mk II is my go to (where is the Mk III already Canon?!) For high resolution images, sharper than the eyes can even see, the 5DsR is the absolute best. I sometimes miss the 50 MP when shooting with this 5D Mk IV but not often. For everything else (other than 4k videos) the Mv IV is the best camera. The touch-screen is finally here (i al... Show More

Jumped from 5D2 to 5D4
I skipped the upgrade to 5D3 because I didn't feel it was enough of an improvement over the 5D2. So glad I waited. This camera has everything I was waiting for. IQ, Focus, GPS and WiFi. WiFi works easily and perfectly. What a great tool being able to see images on my Ipad as soon as I shoot them without the cords and dongles previously needed. The GPS is great for travel as I often would get out my phone to record the location data. (Although it ... Show More

Canon 5D Mark IV, 1DX2, 5DS
Yes, I own all three cameras, and I use them in three different way. The exceptional 1DX2 is my birds in flight camera. You just can't beat 14 frames per second. I shot great grey owls in flight in Yellowstone and got over 60 very good to exceptional images from three owls over a few hours with about 70 of the frame in focus. I use the 5DS for landscapes and waterfalls for which it does a superb job. It is not know for low light situations but I ... Show More

Just Great !!!!
Hello ! I upgraded from 6D to this one. It is just perfect !! Pictures are great, much better definition than the 6D, focus lighting fast and still with that Canon look . I use it a lot for filming; I have 2 kids, and you know how kids are; they move fast and change directions and so on . . . but when I lock the focus on one of them , BANG !! It is all done !!! Great for fast shooting Photogs
This canon 5d Mark IV is one of the best autofocus selection systems Ive used in a while. It has just the right amount of everything. I typically shoot convert with my 70-200 IS 2.8L and this lens connects so well with this body. One of the flaws Ive found is when you have your right hand on the camera, your nails scratch against the body and end up leaving scratch marks. Now, the marks are easily rubbed off but the coating or black paint they us... Show More

A fully loaded full frame camera
I am a photographer and videographer primarily working doing corporate video and photos but love doing travel photography across Europe and Asia when I get the chance. I was really hoping that the Canon 6D mark 2 would have a better autofocus system and 4k video but eventually decided on the 5d 4. I am astounded at the image quality and low light ISO capabilities in comparison to an APSC sensor. If you have good glass on this camera you are sure ... Show More

Using Photoshop with 5D Mark IV
I haven't used the new camera enough yet to review it -- and I gave it 3 stars only because this form can't be submitted without a rating -- but I do want to share my big disappointment that I can't use Photoshop CS5 for RAW photos on the 5D Mark IV. Instead, to process RAW photos, I would first have to convert them to a different format (DNG) and I don't know the DNG format and so I'm not sure I want my RAW photos in DNG format. Of course, there... Show More

A wonderful and powerful camera
I have this camera for only a few weeks now and I am impressed by all the new functionalities that have been added compared to the MkIII. The autofocus is much faster and precise, love the touch screen and one of the big thing for me is the WiFi. I do a lot of photoshoot with my camera tether to my computer. Now not having to deal with the cable that gets in the way, sometimes loose contact etc...it's a real plus. Also the 4K video is important f... Show More

Amazing first full frame camera!
I upgraded from the 70D, which I had for nearly a year. I'm relatively new to photography and find myself fascinated with bokeh. After researching, spending a fair bit on good glass it became obvious to me the next logical step was full frame. I know prior 5D owners are generally not thrilled with the mark IV, however I was not among them and find it producing amazing shots for my purposes. How do I know this...well it is the first time in my 20 ... Show More

Great versatile Camera, just what a needed
I am a 5D Mk II owner. I was considering buying other brands to replace it, as sometimes I need more resolution than the one offered by the Mark IV, or would like to have the best in class Dynamic range. I decided to keep trusting Canon. My old Mark II has never stopped working, and I've put her through a lot, she never complained, plus I have some lenses I want to keep using. What I love the most about the new 5D is that it continues to give me ... Show More

It's great at stills, improved AF a lot faster than the 5D Mark III( I have 2 of those) still thinking of selling one and get another Mark IV, DR is greatly improved, metering system is quite amazing, White balance is a treat, If you like to pixel peep at high ISO, you're in for a treat, 12800 ISO is pretty amazing, Dual Pixel Raw now that is something else, The IQ is totally in a league of it's own, I would prefer the files on the IV than the 1D... Great All Around
I've been a Canon user since I started shooting and I've had great success with this body. I'd say I'm not a pro but I'm aspiring to become one and after a few years with the 5DMK2 I'd finally decided to upgrade. If money wasn't a factor I would've jumped at the 1DX, but I feel this was a more than acceptable compromise for the price. Fine successor in the 5d Line.
Haven't put it completely through it's paces yet but have some initial thoughts. The 30MP sensor produces a really great image and the high ISO capabilities seem pretty solid. The camera replaced one of my 5d3's and although it definitely does feel like a step up I won't be replacing my other two 5d3's with Mark 4's. I like having a smaller resolution option and 22MP has worked well for me and I also shoot at ISO100-200 for the most part so image... Show More

Excellent Full Frame SLR Digital Camera with MF Quality
I own a Canon 1Ds Mark II, and this new 5D Mark IV definitely is a step up in the following areas: 1. Automatic sensor cleaning 2. increased ISO range, for in door shooting. This is more useful than I first expected, because for a high pixel camera at this level, any camera shake would show, so the shutter speed will need to be high, and having an increased ISO range with low noise capture would provide the flexibility 3. high resolu... i love my 5D mark IV
i had a canon mark 5D mark 2 which expired after 10,000 photos, and had 6 canon lenses so i knew that I was staying with Canon. In my view the most reasonable thing to do was to buy a Mark IV body only. AND, the fine folks at B & H photo recommended it too. The Mark IV had a higher number of pixels and a whooping 32,000 ISO high number. I go to Sebring Race Week every year, and at dusk I only have had 5 minutes to capture the glowing brake rotors... Nikon to Canon
I switched from the Nikon D750 to the Canon 5D Mark 4 about two months ago. Before the switch, I would rely on the on-camera flash of the D750 to get sharp pictures. With the 5D Mark 4's iso sensitivity, I'm able to shoot most of my pictures at around iso 100-500 while I wasn't able to get the correct exposure within that iso range with the D750. I shoot mostly family portraits and the Canon delivers beautiful light colors while Nikon had darker ... Show More
