Sony Cybershot W830 20MP 8x Zoom Compact Digital Camera
Simple to use and good picture quality
Bought as a replacement for a W730 I purchased about 4 years ago. After thousands of pictures and dropping several times the old one gave up. Being so pleased with the build quality of the old one, the still picture and video quality had no hesitation in buying the same again. Really simple to use in easy mode or you can choose various types of scenes etc to meet the environment you are shooting in. Its a pocket size camera suitable for holiday / family photos.

Brilliant picture quality.
Bought this camera because I wasn't allowed to take photos off my phone of my newborn son in hospital so went and bought this. Have to say for the price the picture quality '20mp' is so much better than my Samsung s4, I transfer the photos off the camera to my phone and when I compare the picture quality it's amazing. Don't need to get a phone upgrade now because I got this camera. Would recommend it to anyone who takes random family photos or if they are out.

Perfect 'starter' digi cam for first timers!
Really impressed with this, a straightforward digital camera that looks great and does the job. I like the Sony brand and their products, which probably influenced my decision to buy this particular product. Decent battery life, comes with clear instructions and takes great quality photos! I got it to take on holiday but it takes nice indoor pics too. Overall a brilliant budget camera for anyone not that clued up on the latest digital technology, like myself!

Sony Cybershot camera
Having had several earlier versions of this camera I was expecting great things, how disappointed was I when I prized it from its box ? Extremely. The camera looked like a cheap plastic toy camera, it was tiny, not half the size and weight of its predecessors.The build quality was poor it felt cheap and tacky. I can't review its functions because I repackaged it and returned it to Argos immediately.Sony have really let themselves down with this product,

My camera is really good and easy to use
I bought the camera basically for memories , i have taken pictures and they are great , it works exactly as it should, the only thing letting it down is the video side of it, its not a great picture and really lets it down but for me personally is not an issue because i use just for pictures, but overall i am very happy with the camera it is easy to use, decent size as in not to big you cant carry around comfortably and not too small its hard to use.

Sony W830
Bought as a simple point and shoot, largely for our business to use for uploads to our web pages. Its a brilliant device, anyone can use it and download without complication, just connect the USB to a PC and you're there. The Carl Zeiss optics and image quality are fantastic at this price. If you want a simple, but high quality, point and shoot, at a very reasonable price, look no further I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product to anyone.

Entry-level camera that is a bit outdated
This camera does not make any nicer photos than an average mobile phone does, except in low light. Another advantage is the zoom function. Note that this model was first made in 2014. It turns on too slowly, and the on/off button is insensitive making it hard to switch on. The camera is overall well built (Zeiss lens), except the top buttons which are plastic and quite hard to press. Money is probably better spent on a power bank for your phone.

COMPACT & LIGHTWEIGHT
A simple, to the point description of this camera in the Argos catalogue led to the purchase of this product within 15 minutes, The camera is compact, lightweight and easy to use. Its a no fuss, uncomplicated camera that is easy to operate. It has all the features I need. I required a camera to take with me on mountain hikes and cycling trips, so it needed to fit easily into a ruck or pannier or coat pocket. I am very pleased with this purchase.

A bit disappointing
Yes, it's a simple tiny well built 'point & shoot' camera which easily fits into my jeans pocket - exactly as I wanted. But the printed photos are far from sharp and no where near as good as my Samsung Mobile (which I've been using since dropping my previous Canon camera a few months ago). Also, if you don't want to use Auto, the setting buttons are fiddly. Aw well, it 'll do my job I suppose but I expected better even at this budget price!

Great features
I bought this camera for my son & girlfriend as a xmas present as they have just had a baby a few months ago and didnt have one and they wanted to have lovely pictures of her growing up and they were so pleased with it as it takes great photos which are so clear and when videoing its really good aswell also very easy to use and its quite compact so you can carry it anywhere and great value I would definately recommend this camera to anyone.

Very good For the Price
I bought this camera to replace my old one and my first thoughts were that the build quality isn't the best as it seems that is what they cut down on to make it cheaper. But if you can get over that(Which is very easy), you can find some neat little features. It is so easy to use as it does most things for you(Point and shoot). I have shot a lot of really good pictures with this. i have put on a picture I have took with this camera.

A very good camera excellent value for money reason for choseing this camera is I bought it when it first came out and loved it it ticked all my boxes fits in handbag needed a new one only because I left it in a bag with ice in on holidays and ice melted very quick and it done something to the battery it would not hold a charge could still use camera but the battery would only last a day excellent value for money five stars off me

Sleek looking
I have not taken much pictures since purchasing this item but the images that I have taken is clear and sharp. I find the information given about use is easy to follow. I love the neatness of this camera and is looking to enjoy much more of its use over time. I decided on this purchase after reading the reviews which had exactly what I wanted at the price. So basically, something easy and simple to use while producing great shots.

Sony Cybershot W830 20MP 8x
Like the previous Sony, a bit of an entertainment setting it up. Like the W800, this camera finds a focus, very rare to 'take a blur'. Not quite so 'snappy snaps', more mechanism takes time to deploy. I noticed the images on the screen seemed pretty clear, and straight lines at edge stay straight. That'll be the Zeiss lens then. Hope this one lasts longer than 20k images before it dies. The W800 did, at only 10 months old.

Light and easy to carry
Lovely compact camera. Easy to use. Good picture quality. Easy to carry in your hand and snap away. Really good battery life, in that for a whole weekend and beyond in fact, I have not had to recharge the camera yet, so that is a Big plus for me, not having to worry about charging up as you run out of battery life just as you find the perfect scene. I would most definitely recommend the camera. Reasonably priced too.

what a super little camera
Bought this last minute to take on a long holiday. Wasn't expecting too much for the price but just wanted a small, point and shoot camera to pop in a small bag or my pocket. I don't have a fancy phone, so photos on there were not an option. The photos looked ok on the viewing screen but it wasn't until I got home and looked at them on my laptop that I realised just how good they were, even on zoom. Can heartily recommend!

good little camera
I wanted a new small camera to use. So looked at all reviews on Argos and picked one but at every store around me they didn't have it. But saw this one and it still had good reviews so I got it. It is very small and I was nervous about using but it is a smashing little camera. It has plenty of functions that I haven't used yet and fits in my pocket so I don't have to have a big case. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Good Basic Starter Camera but suggest upgrade
Hoped for price this 8xzoom would be adequate for my needs but the zoom is really not that great and picture quality diminishes. I wish I had the extra £100 at the time to get the model up Cybershot with 30xzoom. The build etc is good quality just the zoom on this model could be better, ok for starter camera- I'll probably end up giving this to one of my kids and invest in another when I can afford to pay a bit more.

I have used many cameras for many years. I did find connecting the battery charger to the camera difficult. I did get battery charged and did obtain good quality pictures during my two week holiday. I DID TRY TO RECHARGE BATTERY WHILST ON HOLIDAY. i have tried several times since returning home but without success, The battery connection seems too big for the camera.A good product but needs a simpler use of battery,

Really good little device
I'm not an expert in digital cameras and I just needed to buy one since I don't like taking photos with my phone. For my needs, it seems great! I really like the picture quality and it's very responsive. The buttons are a bit small than what I was normally used to, but that's not a problem at all. Takes a bit longer to get connected to my laptop though... But I don't mind too much. Overall, good purchase!

Just the ticket !
Although I have a smart phone and the camera is good. In the sun and typing in passcode takes time. With this small camera you can take a picture straight away. It is well made, light to carry and is brilliant value for money. May buy a spare battery. The pictures I have taken so far can't really be faulted. Have not printed any photos yet. I am very happy with the features and it's easy to use.

Great little camera.
I've been using the camera for a week and I'm very pleased with it but I struggled with the instructions online and couldn't find what I was looking for. The videos I had taken wouldn't download onto the computer. Eventually I realised that I had to put the camera on video before downloading them but couldn't find any info to say this. The pictures, videos and panoramic views have come out great.

Proud to take out my camera
Bought this camera to replace a much loved Samsung which is no longer available. It is a good looking product and seems pretty well built. Has lots of features, some of which I haven't yet mastered, but this is a work in progress. Pictures and videos are of a good quality. Only downside, you have to download a manual from the internet, rather have a little booklet to take with me on my travels.

Screen had fingerprints and was dirty
After reading all the great reviews decided to take the plunge and buy this camera (the colour pink was a cute bonus). When I opened the package I was disappointed to see there was no protective cover and the camera screen had fingerprints all over it. Did not appreciate buying a used camera. Poor manual and cpuld not find the zoom button. Felt relieved to return it straight away the next day.
