Despite extensive warnings that I would be unhappy with this device, it did exactly what I needed it to do. That said, whether or not it works will be entirely dependent upon the developer of the app that you are using it with. We were using it for software that we had developed and so were able to recode the program to accommodate the remote.

Useless for iOS

While the B&H page says Control iOS Camera and Media, the box really state iOS: Volume control and camera remote. There is no way you will be able to use it as a remote for virtual reality. The only thing you can do is control the volume and quit an application. Completely useless for iOS users.
