Very functional
I like the 200PL quick release system and wanted this system on the new head I was shopping for. I also did not want a ball head for my purposes. Those two feature requirements greatly reduced my choices and the XPRO 3way was really my only choice so that is what I purchased to put on my Benro A373T tripod. The head works great, it is strong and very adjustable. My only nit-pick is the way the quick release plate seats in the head. On my other M... Show More

Awesome tripod!
Absolutely love the Stryper! And the geared head is amazing! No more dropping cameras from cheap tripods

proper equipment for 1000 yes.
i just received my Manfrotto190X Pro tripod with joystick head and have been very pleased with the stability of the tripod. the 190 is not a weak feeling tripod like a lot of others I tried. The joystick is very precise and the tension is very adjustable. Looking forward to the next trip to the 1000 yd range, Now I feel outfitted with the proper equipment for long range viewing of targets.

great tripod
I am a novice photographer and wanted a good tripod for my d850. After reading multiple reviews i bought the 190xpro4 with the bhq2 ball head. I love this tripod. It feels sturdy and is easy to operate. I have mounted my camera with 500mm lens and the tripod is very stable with the heavy lens. The 200pl mounting plate is easy to use. Thanks B&H for prompt shipping and good service

Excellent!
I have been trying to make do with cheaper tripods for years (less than $150). At a photo workshop on early October over half of the photographers has high quality tripods and ball or gimbal heads. I decided it was time to bite the bullet and buy a quality tripod. I decided on this one, not the most expensive but looked like it was well made. I used it yesterday to assist in shooting a wedding. Outstanding! I expect it to last me the rest of my life, Im only 90 so Im expecting a long and high quality experience. Im quite satisfied with my choice.

Better than kirk MPA-2 for monopod
I had been using the Kirk MPA-2 Monopod Head, but switched to this. It is much easier to adjust the azimuth with this grip than to twiddle with the knob on the kirk. I wish there were an arca-swiss adapter for it rather than needing to use the QR plate on all my lenses. I have not tried it with a heavy lens. With a 300mm f/4 + tc14 + d850 + battery grip, it can slip some. I've tried adjusting the tension screw, but have not gotten it 10... Show More

Great Little Ball Head
I bought this head for my camera stand. It's great, fits nice and tight to the stand screw. Super easy to tighten and loosen the head to swivel it into place for vertical or horizontal. Holds the camera tight with the quick release plate. I'd highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice simple ball head for camera stand or tripod.

Good tripod, poor response from Manfrotto if problems
This is a great tripod. It had everything I wanted. Short enough to fit in my checked luggage, light enough to carry around, tall enough for me (6ft tall+). Only, the second time I pulled the center column up, the plastic rotator collar snapped. It still works, but it is hard to put back to the vertical position. I would have returned this tripod to BH, but it looked like a part that could be replaced fairly easily, so I tried going through Manfr... Show More

Flawed product and customer service
When using the 90 degree center column tilt in the field, the center column mechanism blew apart leaving me without a tripod, 4 hours from home. I sent in for repair by email, as that is the only method for contacting customer service. They literally didn't respond for exactly 4 months. Emailed June 11, response October 11. Will never buy manfrotto again.

Rock Solid
I bought this tripod seeking a very solid and stable unit for trips when I'm driving, not flying for a shoot. It is everything I wanted with Manfrotto quality to boot! I'm very pleased with my purchase and would do it again!

Great Tripod for the money
Medium duty, quality built. I especially like the easy of the 90 pivot system. No tools, no "unscrewing" and parts. Feels sturdy. The pan tilt head is a nice alternative to my much larger and more expensive Manfrotto geared head. Great kit for the price for a portable unit / kit.

Great for Plein Air painting!
I've had many tripods for outdoor painting but all of them were found wanting: too unstable, legs too difficult to adjust or too flimsy, etc. In this one, I've finally found one that fills all requirements. The legs are a dream and it's lightweight but sturdy. I have an Open Box M plein air rig and it works awesomely with it. The only thing it lacks is a metal pull-down in the center of the tripod from which to hang a knapsack or bag of rocks. It doesn't fit my Joshua Been Daytripper, however, because the legs are too large in diameter so be sure your rig will fit the legs.

Really Like
Really like this sturdy tripod. Have already used it for a shoot at the Las Vegas Neon Museum. Just pay attention to the instructions. They warn about pinched fingers, and sure enough, I got one when I was not focused. My bad. One trial learning!

Best head of the money
Not too big. Not too small. Not too heavy. Not to light. A great head for a great price. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done every time with any SLR, with any lens.

Better than I was expecting
This is my first pro level tripod so can't say if it's better or worse than the rest but I'm very impressed. Nice and heavy, sturdy plenty of features and easy to use. Worth the price tag I my opinion.

Big and sturdy
I like to photograph wildlife and, as such, use a pretty heavy Tamron 150-600 mm lens. I needed something to handle the weight and this tripod does all that and more. I like that there are only three sections to deploy and really like the ability to move the center post into a horizontal position. The ability to lower this unit nearly to ground level and use the center post horizontally is great for wide angle landscape or macro work. Be aware th... Show More

Great pan-tilt head for the price
Love it. Haven't actually taken any photos yet, but played with it. Seems high quality, metal mostly, made in Italy thankfully. The friction knobs are invaluable. They make it smooth enough to pan and tilt the head and have it stop when you stop, and not go back a little. Would buy again.
