Induro GIT304 Grand Series 3 Stealth Carbon Fiber Tripod

Great value, outstanding customer service
I purchased this tripod due to my height. I was using a much more expensive, and shorter tripod. I saw this tripod on Birds as Art blog, the cost/height of L version looked attractive. While the tripod is larger, it has 4 leg segments and packs smaller than my much more expensive shorter tripod. The thicker legs/locks provide a very stable platform for my gimble/telephoto system. I notice a crack around one of the square holes in the tops of a le... Show More

Outstanding solid and lightweight tripod!!
This is by far the most solid and stable tripod I have ever owned; and it is lightweight to boot. Although I have not owned either a Gitzo or Really Right Stuff tripod, I have used the Gitzo equivalent and this Induro is every bit as stable and well built. Highly recommended.

Robust Tripod
Down graded from 5 stars due to lack of response from customer service. This is a high quality robust tripod. I purchased the Induro GIT304L because I needed very stable tripod for my telephoto lenses as well as my other lenses. Stability was the main criteria; not weight or compactness. It is a large tripod. I like the large twist locks on the legs. Before selecting this tripod I searched the internet for tripod reviews and discovered that compr... Show More

Great fit and finish. Smooth stable operation.
Very happy with the fit and finish. Smooth easy operation. Gimbal head and camera are only about 10 lbs in my setup so the Induro handles it easily. I put the Legcoat covers on mine for the added cover and comfort in transport. The flexibility to have an interchangeable central insert could mean I just grab the gimbal with a base insert or a ball head with the base insert. For now I'm good with just switching them up as needed. Really worth the purchase price. Highly recommended.

This happens when you buy bad quality product
Don't expect this product would last long. it will fall a apart when you are ready to shoot birds. it cracks from inside and the legs fall off. I won't buy Induro anymore. it's not saving.it's wasting money and will ruin your trip

GIT404L because it works.
I got this tripod after much research. Used it this weekend near around and on Mt. Shasta. Worked as expected and it was the only outing I had so far.

Love it!
I've been on the fence for a long time and recently decided to take the jump from a Manfrotto Magfiber 055. I've always been very happy with the Manfrotto but when my ballhead became a little ragged I decide to dive in on a whole new setup. First off, in the past I'd found that the current tripod didn't have the height I wanted for various wildlife shooting without using a shaky center column, explaining the decision to go with this extremely sti... Yes, yes, yes. Buy, and don't look back
After an attempt at purchasing a different brand (at a lower price), which I immediately returned because the quality 'sucked', I bit the bullet and purchased the GIT304. I have not had the opportunity to use this in the field, which is why I can't give this a 5 star rating, but testing at home with attaching my (heavy) Gimbal, extending the legs, etc., I couldn't be happier. I was not excited about the feet that are shown in the picture, since my ... Show More

Very good tripod
This is my first higher-end tripod, and it has not disappointed. I have used it a fair amount over the past couple of months, and it has always provided a very sturdy platform from which to take pictures, I am using it with a Wimberly head and a 600mm lens. The number of bird photos that are keepers has increased due to this set up. I was concerned about the stability of the head mount based on some other reviews, but a design enhancement has app... Looking for a GREAT Tridod?
Look no more! I was foolish in believing I needed a Gitzo for my 500 F4. So i ordered a series 5 for over 0ne thousand USD. It was delivered and i started playing. The same day I requested an RMA from B&H. Sure it had all the Glitzo and well made, BUT....... It was heavy too tall for me and it was not as stable as i thought it would be. I bought it from BH used dept. so i had no choice in the height or weight. It was the 3section series five. One... Show More

Awesome slider tripod

A heavy duty tripod for a bargain price!
Unlike the competition from GITZO, this tripod comes complete with 3 different sets of feet and an excellent heavy duty tripod bag. The bag is big enough to hold this tripod with ball head (in my case, an RRS BH-55) installed with room for a monopod as well. Check out Bryan's review on The-Digital-Picture.com. I found no issues with stability or ease of leg lock adjustment.

Nice tripod. Great value
Nice quality tripod with lots of bells and whistles. It's heavier duty than I expected - the legs are more substantial than my Gitzo Series 4 and the leg locks have a good feel. Comes with a nylon bag, a carry case, different feet, and tools... amazing. I prefer the top plate on the Gitzo, which is threaded and screws into the tripod. It seems safer than the Induro which has a sprung pin and a compression lever to keep it in place. Gotta remember... Show More

Fantastic Tripod
After owning a number of tripods, I finely decided to try one without a center section. What I found is I never really used the center section, other than to get additional height, and that I usually just adjust the legs or crouch. Over time I found that the center section can create more wobble than I realized and that I would often squeeze my fingers inside when folding it up and moving it around. Needless to say, I found center section somewha... Show More

I would buy this product again
This product is well built, The price was so good I had to get one, I have had my 100-400 mm lens on it and its solid as a rock, It will be the last tripod I will buy, it doesn't get any better than this one.It came with a bag and tool kit, well done Induro.

Induro Tripod
This tripod is fantastic! I made my purchase based on the basic information provided as there were no other reviews. That fact in itself is surprising, because this is one very well made piece of equipment! Thick legs, and the lack of a center column make it quite sturdy. The large leg locks are also a nice touch and being constructed of carbon fiber, it weighs half of what my previous tripod did. I did a lot of research before buying, and am quite happy with my decision! The legs were paired with a Kirk BH-1 Ball Head. Thanks B&H!

Perfect for my 600mm f/4
At first I chose among tripods Gitzo, but dissatisfied with a very high price went to Induro and choose the model among best reviews on B&H, but after the test in the NYC superstore , I have no doubt that even without the reviews on the site, it is very durable and stable tripod.

Tall and stable with great features
This is my second Induro tripod. The first was a ct214 I carry for hiking/travel. I bought the 404XL primarily for architectural work and paired it with a Manfrotto 410 geared head. It makes for a very stable platform at the cost of a little portability. If one were shooting astro-landscapes or knew they needed the extra support in the field, it would be possible to hike with this (probably not comfortably though). Collapsed, it is small enough t...
