Ilford Galerie Smooth Pearl (13 x 19, 25 Sheets)
Impressive image and feel.
I have used thousands of sheets of this paper in various sizes in the past year. The surface is slightly less luster like which is good because the slightly flatter surface yields more detail, closer to the detail of a glossy paper. Impressive many ways.
I bought this originally because at the 5x7 and 4x6 sizes, thicker paper is a big benefit as far as clients are concerned. Thick paper makes your photos more substantive and impressive and it is especially noticeable at these smaller sizes. As far as the clients are concerned all of this might be subliminal but I believe that it really matters. As they say, it's the little things. Prestige what?
I use this paper as a cheap alternative to my ilford gold fibre silk or canson baryta. I usually use this paper for roll prints because its cheaper, the weight never really bothered me (cause roll prints are usually mounted or framed) and color gamut is descent (not great). I'm just disappointed cause once ilford changed the name to prestige, not only do they charge more and force you to buy more stock, they also advertised that the paper is heavier. The paper is exactly the same as the older version.

THE TRUEST COLOR YOU CAN GET!
This is the only paper I use.Matte is too flat for me and glossy is too bright. This Smooth Pearl is absolutely stunning. I couldn't say this about all pearl paper. There is something very special about this specific one, Ilford Galerie Prestige. It's hard to make a mistake with it. I use it for all my printing, not just those in particular areas of my collection. It's beautiful for kids playing, for portraits, for landscapes, for anything you choose to print. It's been my favorite for a long time.

My Go To Photo Paper
It's the best photo paper for our nominal photos and even special prints. it's exceptional. I like it because it's not glossy/glitzy rather had a nice smooth tone, hence smooth pearl and indeed the surface is much like a pearl finish; takes the ink. If you order it I hope your service person can find it as it did not come up when I put the name of the paper etc., into B&H Search. But the service person persivered and found it finally. I do buy this product over and over again!
I print fine photos and then glue either the horizontal or vertical image to good card stock to make photo cards. My 92 year old mother-in-law uses them as currency in her retirement home. My wife uses selected images as her personal stationary. Local scenes from the Gasp are sold in an art based caf. Other images specific to Mtis Gardens are sold in the gift boutique. I like the pearl or lustre finish as it seems to provide great resolution and detail.

Our only paper
We tried several types, and brands of paper. Testing paper is fun, but it's also time consuming and expensive. We've found this paper to be excellent at everything, and it's our only paper. It comes in every size, and doesn't break the bank. Clients always comment on the paper! We use a Canon PIXMA Pro-100 and Ilford ICC profiles, printing through Lightroom. Follow all the instructions and your images will look amazing.

This paper makes printing fun.
I print photos to share experiences with friends and family. I want those photos to be the best for now and the future. I feel that when a photo is developed, what I see on the screen is what will appaer on the paper. Printing is easy with this paper. The smooth pearl is exactly that. The colors are supurb. I was told by my son that this paper was great and he is absolutely correct.

Great general use paper
This paper does have whiteners in it, but in a small amount, and the paper is almost neutral white, and prints extremely well, especially if you have a printer that has gloss optimizer. The extra weight of this paper makes it stand out from other semi glossy papers. Only down side is that it is rather expensive unless you buy it in the larger boxes. Excellent images and handling.

Ilford's is First Choice
I've tried many quality photo papers over the years and always return to Ilford Smooth Pearl paper. It prints amazing images with very balanced color and contrast and does not leave fingerprints. Unless you're printing for a museum display, this is the paper to use. If you do need to show absolutely the best image possible, Ilford has museum quality paper for that.

Gorgeous Paper!
I use this paper for my best framable subjects and prints for others. It has a great color and tonal range for color AND black and white. The surface is viewable from so many angles without shine. It's quite consistant. I really can't find anything about it to criticize. I have prints from the 290 gsm 11 years old and they look great.

Perfect Proofing
i use this paper to get a good sense of how a b/w fine art photo will look prior to printing in the final size. It's much less expensive to waste a few 4x6s then a 17x22 or larger. I wish they produced Gold Fiber Silk in this size, but this is the next best thing. Provides rich deep blacks. crisp whites, and a nice overall tonality.

Great All Around Paper
This is one of my very favorite papers! As a portrait and wedding photographer, color and skin tone accuracy as well as even saturation are paramount. This paper delivers flawlessly. I like the texture a lot, as do my clients. In anything, prints come out a tad bright, making this an ideal choice for darker color values.

Ilford papers have never disappointed me.
Used for head shots of members of the drama department before each play. Photos are exhibited on the marquee with bios of all who are involved - actors, directors, stage crew, etc. Pearl finish is ideal as it limits glare but produces satin-liike glow. No negative comments - always good results.

Good Paper
We've used Ilford's Smooth Pearl paper for many years and we have never been disappointed. It provides consistently crisp images. We like the texture and the weight. We have an older Canon Pixma printer (MG7120) and the results are equal in quality to what we receive from our professional lab.

First time user
I like the satin finish with just a hint of a pebbled texture. The 310 weight has the feel of old photo paper. I can't speak of longevity yet, only time will tell. Using it with a Canon Pixma Pro 9000 MKII and the Ilford ICC profiles, the color and exposure is spot on when printing thru CS5.

Great Detail & Texture
Gave the Smooth Pearl a try based on prior reviews. So far 100% satisfied. East to download and use profiles from Ilford web site (I use Photoshop CC print function). Much better look than the HP photo premium plus I am use to. HIGHLY recommend the Ilford Galerie Prestige Smooth Pearl.

Ilford Galerie smooth pearl is my favorite inkjet paper
I use this for all my printing. I use a Canon printer. All I had to do was download the profiles and I get great results, often after the first attempt. Beats the heck out of the results with my previous (another brand) printer using the same paper.

great photo paper
I am a high school-level sports photographer and use paper for orders from my website--mostly moms scrapbooking. This new paper is just a little heavier. I do all my own printing from 4x6 to 13x19 and use Ilford exclusively. Love their products.

My favorite paper
Just cant seem to have enough of this paper. Loved the larger sheets and this pack is just as good. The surface reflection is a bit less than traditional luster and has a pearl effect. The weight is excellent as well.

Nice color quality
I printed a bunch of photos using Kodak paper and wasn't happy with the quality. Printed them again using the Ilford paper and not only was the paper a heavier weight, but more importantly, the colors really popped.

Ilford Smooth Pearl paper
Ilford Smooth pearl paper. Love the smooth pearl paper. It provides plenty of contrast but does not fingerprint like a glossy paper does. Also seems to be a bit less reflective. This is my favorite 8.5x11 paper.

Good product & good value
I didn't know the upper-scale companies made 4 x 6 paper, but when I saw this on the shelf I bought it on a whim. Beautiful luster and good value for the money. Works with my old PIXMA 850, too!
