Doing what Google does best.
This is such a great gadget. Google Home Mini is nice and loud, and the sound quality is great. I find it very useful as a radio, to set reminders, have quick answers to things and much more. Google Assistant means you can talk to Home much more naturally, and follow up your conversation in a much more contextual way than other assistants. What's more you can use your free Google Music account to play all your uploaded music, and free Spotify if you don't want to pay for music

A great bit of kit for the price
This is totally different than the Alexa which I already own. It has similar though different capabilities but for sound quality it knocks spots of the echo dot. Why not treat yourself to one of each.

Google home mini
We are very pleased with the home mini it is very easy to set up and and love the way it is personal, it recognizes your voice so when you say hey google good morning it says it back but calls you by your name, just love that. we have bought one for our mums think they will love it to.

Cute design, blends in
Easy to set up and use, I can heartily recommend (so long as you're not afraid that the robots will take over!!) Connects first time (and easily) to my Chromecast and Nest devices . Top product

Will prove useful
Long term will be useful for home automation but as a stand alone gadget it is quite good for answering basic questions eg weather forecast, time in NZ etc. I have listened to music via the device and the sound quality is ok but nothing to rave about. If you like gadgets you will like this, if your a technophobe don't bother!! Would I buy it again? yes ( handy to turn off the tv when I can't find the remote).

Brilliant addition to the home
It is very cool. The kids love talking to Google and asking it questions. Only a few times has it said it can't help. Very pleased with it.

Need of the 21st Century
This is one of the recent amazing products. It helps people who are not well versed with typing and internet connection etc. Set it once, and they are all set to explore this new world.

Brilliant for podcasts
With so many good programmes on Radio4 its all too easy to miss a programme that you enjoy. But ask for the programme, it finds it almost immediately and then plays the programme, plus it offers previous episodes. I know that there are other ways to access catch-up radio but this is simplicity itself.

Great for smart home
Finally bought a couple of these in the sale to complement my smart home set-up. Great compatibility with many smart home devices. The answers you get to questions are brilliant and very clear. Speaker isn't the best for listening the music with but ok for background music. Would be great if I could connect to my bluetooth speaker.

Great fast track service. Google home is great. Myself and my kids ask google all sorts of stuff and enjoy listening to music. We have the mini ones aswell in other rooms and once set up works great.

Good sound quality for the price
Good sound quality, was worried that it would be awful but, even though it's not the same as the normal size Google Home it's decent enough to have in a small room, not much bass though

Okay Google!
Cracking build quality and function, these little guys are discreet and are really handy if you have or are building a connected home. Probably not for you if you sit around the house in a tinfoil hat thinking that the CIA are spying on you, otherwise these are great value for money!

Great hands free gadget
Great price. I use it for the followings ATM: - time / weather - listening music / cast - broadcast something from phone - reminders / timers - definitions - time to reach places / traffic info (don`t have smart light or thermostat yet)

looks good and syncs well with chromecast
well worth it, works well with other smart home items purchased (particularly the chromecast) and is a decent fidelity speaker for the price. good quality packaging and the speaker fits in the palm of the hand. a bit of set up is required initially but after that its incredibly simple and adding various smart home elements to it is easy. one issue is that it cant be simply paired by bluetooth and instead requires a cast to play audio and a chromecast audio to pair to other speakers

Useful
I bought this product just out of curiosity, and it's actually pretty useful, especially in the morning (weather, main news, reminders, all at once). The sound is good, but only for a small room (not for a barbecue or for a large living room). The only thing that could be better in the design, I think, is the power cable that is a little annoying and ugly compared with the clean design of the product itself. Can hear my voice with clarity and understands even a not-so-good English.

Great bit of kit. The sound quality is very clear. Yes the unit lacks any bass but as an assistant the google home is fantastic and i would recomend to anyone.

Mrs Waxchuff Says.......
Purchased this out of curiosity (I have an Echo & a Dot) to see how it compared. Compared to Alexa it is very limited app wise and the voice ok google uses is very shrill. I think given time it will come into its own but having to link it to a Spotify account plus other account links it's a bit of a pain. Bought it during the Black Friday reductions. I have it connected and hope the apps improve.

Helpful and Easy
I already have a couple of Amazon Echos and find they are great for music. What they are really poor at is information. I got this Google Home and have been very happy with how helpful it is. Being connected to the world's largest search engine, she can tell me everything from what bus to get to how to bake a chocolate cake. The speaker is OK for most music listening although I sometimes find she can't hear me too well in a noisy environment. All in all a very good, easy and useful device.

Small, smart and dependable
It's a shame Google removed top-touch functionality, but still, this is a good piece of kit and well worth the money. The sound isn't as punchy as the full fledged Google Home as you'd expect, but it's a good addition to your smart home set up to expand your speaker group for full coverage and the extra responsive microphone fills in those black-spots in your setup nicely.
