Does the job!
Bought this to protect the My Passport Ultra hard drive for a location shoot out in the sticks. The case is nice and rugged and kept everything safe and contained. The elastic band secures the drive to one side of the case, while the mesh pocket contains your USB cord and/or a few smaller items. My minor complaint is that I wish there was just a tad more padding on the inside to add a little extra protection from potential external impacts. Other than that it does the job.

Great Support for your portable Hard Drive at a great value
I have bought several of these protective cases. They are light weight, sturdy and a good value. Most importantly , I have never had a hard drive go bad when I have protected them with these cases!

Don't Drop It
This case looks great and it's semi-hard shell keeps the drive secure, but there is no padding to protect it from drops or impacts.

Great protection, a bit bulky
The case is hard enough to be really good protection for drive, connectors, and other small items like thumb drives. It is larger than needed in all dimensions for the WD 3TB drive, so run bare if compactness is essential. The WD 3TB is thick, you might be able to fit two thinner drives. It is however very light, so if you have the room, it will not weigh down your backpack. The logo strip is too obtrusive, even thick, but can be easily removed with a sharp knife and paint thinner.

Nice, Durable Case
This case worked well with several different brands of external hard drives. There is plenty of room in it for the wire and the hard drive itself. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

Purchased for WD 1TB Elements Hard Drive
Bought for a WD 1TB Elements Hard Drive and it works great. There is about 1 cm of extra space on the short side. I use that extra space for my flash drive.

Fits Pocket Operator
Using this to safely store my Pocket Operators (Teenage Engineering). Not too large, but you can fit a few extra cables and adapters in there with it too.

Small and big spce

Perfect fit and very tough
I bought this case at the same time I bought the my pasport for mac HD. It was suggested on the website and I am glad It was. It fits perfectly and has an elastic strap to hold the device in place so it won't fall out when you open it. It also has a net pouch for holding the usb cable included with the HD and the instructions also. It is rigid, but the outside is textured so it doesn't slip out of your hand. Closes with a zipper so it is very secure. Nice looking and compact. Keeps everything together, and safe.

Serves My Purpose
this case will protect my portable hard drive as I transport it to an off site storage location. The hard drive will be my second backup photo catalog for Adobe Elements 13.

Don't buy for the Sharkk 100,000 mAh Pwr Bnk
It seems to be a fine little case, but it should not have been listed as an accessory for the Sharkk 10,000mAh Power Bank. The Sharkk unit does not fit in it.

This looks to be a nice case, but, just a heads up As of mid-July 2015, this item was listed in the Accessory section on the page for the Sharkk 10,000 mAh Power Bank (battery/charger; B&H item # SH10000EPB). High quality case
Super case for Western Digital 1 TB external hard drive! Very rugged ballistic material on outside. High quality zipper closure. No padding on inside, but not really that important. Also, very roomy. Can hold drive on one side, usb cable on the other; or 2 drives (one on each side).

Durable, yet simple
I use this product to protect my 1TB SSD in travel. It's very well built and keeps my drive safe. It even has an inside pocket for a USB cord. Only downside is it isn't very adjustable for different sized drives, so if the drive is smaller than the case, you might need to add extra padding inside to keep it from sliding around too much.

SAVES LIVES!!!
SAVED MY HARD DRIVE!!! I had a brand new G-Tech. hard drive in this case. The other day when running to class the case fell out of my bag and took a pretty big fall. Slammed down on the ground. Not a scratch on my hard drive and everything worked as it should. SAVED IT!!!

Very good
In a quick shop looking for a sturdy case for a WD Passport external hard drive, I found this among others and, without a doubt, it is the best. What a want to protect my drive is a hard case, that's it. But I found many soft cases that will protect the drive against...dust. In one side of the case you put the drive (secured by a band) and in the other side there is a mesh pocket where you can put the cable and other small stuff. The zipper is really good also. Strongly recommended.

HCY-PVB Portable Hard Drive Case
At first I was skeptical with the dimensions that my Seagate 2TB External Hard Drive would fit into this case. I called the store and the gentleman assured me it would. So, I got it. This case provides the protection I need to carry my External Hard Drive from one location to another and with the hard-shell design, I can have confidence that my external hard drive will function when I plug it in to my laptop.

Go with the horizontal enclosure
I use this for my silver WD Backup Plus Slim external hard drive. It works great or... protects well. Here's my argument for why to buy the horizontal vs. vertical.. Horizontal offers a longer band to hold in the hard drive. More surface area holding it down = better protection.

Nice hard drive case
I ordered this case for my WD 2TB Elements Portable Hard Drive. This case is slightly larger than the drive, which allows additional storage for the chord and for memory cards. For the most part the drive rests at home in this case, but this would be a good option to protect the drive during the travel. It probably would not fully absorb the impact in case the drive falls down, but it would provide some protection.
