Nikon D7500 DSLR Camera with 16-80mm Lens and Software Kit

Not one regret
Got this camera about a week ago and I really like this piece of equipment. I am pretty blow away on how clear all my shots turned out. I have never had a card fail me yet so the deal about the 2 card slot is not a big deal to me. I always keep other cards near by. Now I am hoping to get out soon for some astrophotography shot very soon (next couple of days). Would I buy this camera again? In a heart beat!

great camera thus far
I upgraded my nikon d5100 to the nikon d7500 and have been very pleased using it this weekend. I am not a professional. I bought it for whale watching, scenery pics, and pics of the family. I have been pleased with everything so far. I was not able to get my photos uploaded into snap bridge though. I am going to read up on it again but I think there may be an issue with this as others have mentioned.

Not built for video
I bought this primarily for video since Canon midrange DSLRs don't offer 4k. Big mistake! Pros: -Great for photography Cons: -Bad for videography -Autofocus hunts and breaths. Even when using touch focus. -No focus peaking. -Cannot magnify image (to focus) while recording. -That fn1 button in between the grip and lens just bugs! bad placement. other than that. beautiful footage if you can make it work. That's too bad because I have always been a Nikon guy for decades.:(

Really awesome technology
I already have a Nikon D7000. This D7500 is light years ahead of the D7000. The ISO goes so high I can now take photos in the dim lit high school stadiums and keep my shutter speeds fast where I want them. The noise is no worse than the high settings for the D7000. I really like the blue tooth connection to my photo which allows me to control the shutter on my camera and see what the photos look like. I can even download either full or reduced si... Show More

Very happy with purchase
Overall, very happy that I waited to purchase this camera. I am disappointed with the single SD card slot. The light meter and EV settings are opposite from the D7000 which I am accustomed but that will come with use. The autofocus points and ISO abilities wipe out any other issues I have found. The camera feels good in the hand and I feel as though I am challenged again to keep up with its abilities.

Sold off my Nikon D7200 for this Nikon D7500
I have had this camera for just about two weeks and it is a really good camera but there are a few drawbacks and issues to note. 1st. - Note that the batteries from the Nikon D7200 do NOT work in this camera. Not the original or aftermarket ones either. Those are the EN-EL15 batteries. You can only use the new EN-EL15a batteries that come with the camera. So do not save your old batteries! Sucks! 2nd. - The lost second SD soot sucks! I just had a... Show More

Just what I was looking for.
I wanted a powerful camera but not overwhelmed. I am new to photography and was able to find the perfect balance here. I watched all the tutorials about the camera and it work just as advertised. One of my favorite features so far is the SnapBridge. Quickly transfers photos to my phone and computer. The battery is still on it first charge lasting forever for me. I am really happy with what was advertised and the product I got.

Good upgrade
So I am upgrading to this from a 7-year old D3100. I must say it is a good upgrade. It is a good compromise of you want most of the features of a D500 but you don't want to break the bank. The one sd slot is not a deal breaker for me since I always back my photos up on my PC. I would recommend

Glad I purchased this camera
I purchased this camera as an upgrade to a D7000. My primary reason was for the higher ISO. The faster shots fps and tilting monitor are additional bonuses. It feels the same and has same layout as the D7000 so there is a short learning curve. The Snap Bridge feature is also nice especially if you use a iPad instead of a iPhone although iPhone works well.

Best Cross Sensor Camera
I think it is the best crop sensor camera. The results are great and it has many features including mirror up and tilt screen.

Super addition to the 7*** series!
Disclaimer: I am not a professional, rather, I consider myself a serious amateur. My arsenal consists of a D810, D750 & D500. Since I shoot a lot of birds and wildlife and sometimes need two bodies at once, I wanted a crop sensor body to use as an extra / backup for the D500. This camera far exceeded my expectations and doesn't lose much when compared with the D500. There are a few compromises, but nothing to quibble about - and the photographs a... Show More

Great for Wildlife & Nature!
I was a former Pentax user looking to upgrade to a system with a greater number of camera and lens options. I researched for weeks before deciding that the Nikon D7500 was the right choice for me - I was right. I love the camera so far. It has every functionality that I loved about my Pentax, plus many others that I will get to learn how to use. I'm a wildlife and nature photographer and I've found this camera gets the job done!

Great camera upgrade from my old D7000
I'm very impressed with the D7500. The images are tack sharp with great resolution and the 4K video is very good, especially when played on a 4K monitor or TV. Its light and for the most part has the same menu settings and arrangement as the older Nikons. My only beef, and hopefully it will be resolved soon, is that the NEF raw files are at this point unreadable in either Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop. They work fine in the free Nikon editing software. The JEPG files still work well in the Adobe softwares, and I'm looking forward to an update from them that will allow NEF raw file access.

Couldn't be more impressed...
I'm a sports, family and wildlife photography enthusiast who upgraded to the D7500 after much research and waiting. I'm absolutely thrilled with the image quality, features and speed of the camera. It also feels quite sturdy in your hand, but at the same time isn't overly large and/or heavy. Love this! Worth the wait for sure!

Upgraded to Nikon D 7500
I only recently have taken up photography. My first camera was the Nikon D50 which I upgraded to the Nikon D 7500. One might think that is quite an upgrade and it is. However, while I am in the process of learning the bells and whistles of the D7500 it's not too daunting, but I must admit a challenge. I mostly take nature photos, especially hummingbird shots. My wife's passion is golf and mine is becoming photography.

Excellent Value
Upgrading from a D5300. First off, I do professional wedding videos and in over 100+ weddings we have never have a chip failure. Therefore, the lack of a single chip slot has ZERO meeaning to me. Plus, this camera is easier to hold and maneuver than my D5300. for the money, easily worth a 5 star rating.

Nikon D7500 Perfect camera for my photography and video
I am a casual photographer. I shoot mostly landscape and travel photography. I use Lightroom 6 and a Canon Pro 100 large format printer. My previous camera was a Nikon D50 bought in 2005. Prior to my purchase I did quite a bit of reading and watching video reviews as well. People spoke about the slightly reduced sensor from the previous 7000 series. Is it an issue that it did not have dual memory card slots? In the end I think Nikon made a camera... Show More

Buy it!
I am now going into my 3rd week with the Nikon D7500. It is everything I wanted and more. I have owned Nikon since back in the day with my Nikkormat. I shoot mainly Portraits and Landscapes. And have been using the D3X and D3S. They are great cameras, that take great pictures, and I will still use both. But I wanted a smaller camera that was less to carry around. This camera is perfect. And no. I do not work for Nikon or B&H. I have used the came... Show More

Best Prosumer APS-C Nikon Body Ever
The problem with most consumer/prosumer camera bodies is the buyers have to accept compromises in performance when the manufacturers meet price targets. The compromises in this camera, only one SDXC card slot and it will no longer meter AI lenses. For everything else this camera works, and works well. I have had this about 2 weeks and have had a chance to shoot about 1000 frames, including my daughter's pinning ceremony. Since there are no RAW co... Show More

Major upgrade to D7000 series
I was impressed that the effective ISO appears to be 3 stops better than my D7000. The tilting display is terrific for live view work. The camera now has a continuous quiet mode which I find useful even though all modes are quieter then the D7000/D7200. The bracketing allows up to 9 brackets at 1 stop and 5 brackets at 3 stops which exceeds what my broken D7200 could do. As mentioned for the D500, the battery life has taken a major hit. Also for ... Excellent Camera
First of all, I don't mind the single card slot. I never used the second card on my previous camera. I do not belong to the camp of those thinking this camera is a downgrade from the D7200 because of a single slot, no battery grip (I never used one) or less MP. I wanted to clear this out of the way first! Handling of this camera is very nice. I like the deeper grip. I like the added ISO button, adjusting screen, touch screen. Those are definitely... Upgraded from a D5300, Wow!
As far as the feel of the D7500 is concerned, my old camera now feels like a toy. No issues with having a secure grip on this camera. The lack of two memory slots has ZERO importance to me. I do professional wedding videos. In 4 years of work at 200+ weddings with 5 Canon HD cameras we have never had a chip failure. Now the better ISO performance IS VERY important to me.

I don't care if this camera only has 1 card slot. If you are not shooting professional who cares. The sensor is great and ISO is awesome! This camera even makes a great back up camera for work use. Over all I am very pleased with it an Nikon did a great job!

Downgraded from D7200
The D7500 is suppose to replace the D7200, as it has replaced the D7100 before. However, after a very careful reading of the specs. I found two MAJOR drawbacks of this new D7500. 1st) No Vertical Battery grip is available, and it is also impossible to do so, since there's no contacts on the bottom. 2nd) Only SINGLE SD card slot, instead of TWO slots found on D7000, D7100 D7200. Of cause the ISO 51600 is a major advance. But it seems Nikon is taking one step forward and two steps backward. Quite disappointed, as I have had been using every previous D7xxx series.
