Having purchased this tripod as gifts for several friends, I finally bought one for myself. Very easy to set-up and use. Love how lightweight it is and how small it folds down to fit in its travel case. You can't go wrong with this tripod.

Great travel tripod
I was looking for a light weight travel tripod for an upcoming European river cruise. This seems to fit the bill, easy to work with (at least at home) but will put it to test while on the cruise. B&H shipped within in stated timeframe.

Perfect travel tripod
I've used the product on my trip to the Philippines. It folds small enough to fit in my camera bag, plus my 70-200, 10-24, and 18-105 lenses, plus other things like filters and extra batteries. Its is a sturdy tripod despite its size.

Very Happy With this Tripod
Light, compact, functional and comes in fantastic colors (I chose purple), for a great price. I hike the rockies and travel, so this is the perfect tripod for me. Great quality, finishing and a handy transport bag. Worth every penny.

Great for a carry-on
I bought the BackPacker strictly to use as an air travel tripod. It's very light weight and pretty tiny, so I wouldn't put an DSLR on it. I'll only use it for my point and shoot. It seems pretty well made, especially for the price.

Good simple effective tipod
It is good and effective. Stable and light and easy to manipulate. The one down side is that it is a bit 'think and short' so less comfertable to attach to the bag. Note that head requires a coin/screwdriver to release/attach...

Nice tripod
I enjoy this tripod. It's light to carry around when I travel. It's compact so I can fit it in my backpack. It holds my Canon 70D with no issues except when it super windy. But with my help on windy days I just hold the tripod.

Just what I wanted.
I haven't taken this on a trip yet, but it seems like it'll be the perfect size to be able to take with me on trips where I want to take long-ish exposures with film cameras. Feels very high quality and is small and light.

Good little tripod
Somewhat of an odd design from the full size tripods I'm used to, but then it has to be to fold up so small. Not an incredibly stable tripod, of course that is the compromise on size and weight. Better than hand holding.

The travelling tripod
The tripod is pretty stable with a DSLR on. The central leg cannot be lowered, but this is not a big deal. The best of it is that it fits everywhere once folded, which makes it perfect for trekking wit it. Good product.

Buy the larger RoadTrip Instead
I have the Mefoto roadtrip already. I have been wanting this smaller one also. The larger roadtrip is such a better tripod. This is not a bad tripod but just doesnt come close to the slightly larger Roadtrip model.

Great Product
It came with all of the pieces (other reviews say otherwise). The quality of it is definitely worth the price. Assembly and disassembly are easy and quick. It's very compact, and the bag it comes in is durable.

Good Travel Tripod
Light, compact and yet provides good support for D5200.Good color options. The tripod comes with a carrying case making it good for travel when restricted by weight @ carrying my normal tripod is not possible.

Perfect Backpacker Travel Tripod
MeFOTO Backpacker Travel Tripod is perfect for my 5D camera. You bet I mean for traveling. Of course, I have the real thing as the main tripod but it would be too big a burden to carry it around the world. :-)

compact and sturdy
the MeFoto Backpacker is used to support my Nikon Coolpix A.. The tripod fits nicely into my messenger bag and is quick to set up as needed.. The build quality is very nice for a tripod in this price range..

Compact & Stable
I normally have major issues with thse travel tripods bcause they are either wobly or do not hold much weight. This tripod is very stable, does not wobble & holds the heavier DSLRs in place with no issues.

Exactly as advertised - lightweight, super compact, sturdy, perfect for your basic dSLR. Not recommended for heavy lenses. If you're looking for a tripod to take with you on a trip, this is the one to get.

Great Travel Tripod
This is a very well made tripod that retracts to a very compact size. Seems sturdy, and has quality adjustment knobs and smooth ball joint to get just about any angle. It's light weight but seems strong.

Good buy
Bought this for size and portability although feels heavier than expected. I have another lite weight tripod that is used with a m4/3 but this feels more stable and compact and useful for dslr as well.

Great for traveling
This is a great tripod for anyone who travels. It easily fits in a carry on bag or backpack. I just used it on a trip that included hiking and camping in the desert. Easy to carry and worked perfect.
