Great body with few downsides
This Canon T7i is an upgrade from a T3 that I've had for a few years and there's plenty to praise. The Rebel series are a good size for my hands and I don't want to lug around a full size body despite their advantages . Photography, for me, is a personal endeavor and not for monetary gain. I document Vacations, Hiking Trips, Family Gatherings, Pets, Animals, Automotive interests and Astrophotography etc. My philosophy is to have my shots be as go... Show More

I would buy this camera again without batting an eye.
I've owned at least 8 Canon Cameras in my lifetime. My first goes all the way back to the 1970's when I purchased a Canon AE1 (film camera), and I have progressed up through most of the 'new' offerings in the 'Rebel series' when 'Digital' changed photography forever.. I have owned 5 'Rebels' over the last 10 years, and when the new Rebel T7i, (D800), came along I researched all it's competitors and chose it to be the 'LAST' camera I will ever buy... Show More

Where's the 4K?
I've had my Rebel now for many years. I've take many a great memory's with it. It's now time to move up to a multi function camera. I want to stay with the Canon brand but come on guy's, this is 2017! I'm not shelling out $3500 for a Mk4 when I can get a great quality multifunctional 4K still camera with great AF for half the price. And with comparable glass with images stabilization! I love the brand, don't get me wrong. But a have a budget I ha... Show More

Good upgrade of Rebel Ti series
I had a functional T2i (also purchased from B & H) for many years and I like it because it was compact and it did lots of functional works. I got this new T7i because I want to photograph the upcoming total solar eclipse that will be happening on August 21, since I want to use the LCD monitor that can change angle, so that I do not have to look up to the sky to focus on the sun. The T7i did just that. I purchased a 18-stop neutral density filter ... Show More

Great Camera
I have been using the EOS Rebel T line of cameras for many years. Recently upgraded from the T5I to the T7I and am so glad I made the move. Very happy to see that Canon has incorporated some of the features of higher end cameras into this level of camera, such as higher resolution, more AF points and faster continuous shooting. I've been able to increase the ISO a lot higher than my T5I in certain situations with a lot less noise. The camera rend... Show More

Can't beat Canon products.
I have only had the Rebel T7i for about 2 weeks, so I have not had time to fully evaluate it. I bought it to replace my 5Ti that I gave to my granddaughter and to whom I also gave the 18-135 lens. I did take several photos with the 18-135 mm lens before handing it on and I was most impressed with it. It seems to be the perfect lens to use for everyday shooting. All photos I took with it were tack sharp, including some hand-held close-up shots of ... Show More

Great camera, especially for a beginner
It has been 30 years since I've used an SLR camera (the old kind with film - lol) so I'm basically starting all over. I grew tired of the lack of control with my digital cameras and decided to finally take the plunge and buy a DLSR. I loved how the Canon fit in my hand and how intuitive the controls seemed to be. I was able to use it right out of the gate and am getting better each time. I love the guidance offered on the LCD screen and also love... Show More

Meets My Needs for a Basic Canon Body
Having impulsively sold two Canon bodies and 2 Canon STM lenses when I bought a Panasonic Lumix GH5 body and Lumix lens, I retained four Canon lenses -- a 50mm f/1.8 STM, 85mm f/1.8 USM, 70-200 f/4 L, and 75-300 -- but had no Canon body to use them on. They don't work ideally on the GH5, using a Kenko adapter and a Metabones Speedbooster adapter, so I decided to buy a basic Canon body for these lenses, even if only as a backup camera. After resea... Show More

I bought this camera as an upgrade from my T3i. It exceeds the capabilities of the T3i in almost every category (the maximum shutter speed is the same). The AF is faster and with the faster continuous focusing allows helps me take better action photos. I had an initial problem with the camera, there was a piece of flashing in the SD slot that I had to remove. Now it works fine. Some people have commented that the T7i feels fragile, the same thing... Show More

Great Software. Bad Build
I love the Canon software and that it had simplified version for beginners. I love the built in interval timer as well the touchscreen. I love the picture quality and generally everything about the camera. I do have two complaings. The camera quality is pretty cheap feeling and the sd card slot doesn't have a spring. I previously used a cheap Nikon ($400 w/ lenses when it came out) that had a better build. The Canon T7i is build from very cheap f... Show More

A really great DSLR for the serious Amateur Photographer
This is my third EOS Rebel. As my photography skills have grown I have updated my Rebel. The T7i has some wonderful improvements: more megapixels and the best improvement is the guided how to shoot screens that pop up on each setting. For the more advanced, you can turn this feature off. This improvement allows the less knowledgeable user a great way to learn on the go how to use the settings on the camera. It can be as manual as you want to take... Show More

I would definitely buy this again!!!
I made the decision to upgrade to this camera 2 short weeks before shooting a wedding for a friend as my old camera (Canon T2i) wasn't cooperating so well. I was beyond nervous to get to know a new camera in such a short time but was over joyed when I realized it was so similar to my old camera just with so many added features that were a nice added touch for the wedding. I can't wait to get to know it even more and figure out all the finer detai... Show More

Returned
I actually would have luved the camera, great resolution, intuitive operation, liked the fold out screen, and it was a great step up from my EOS T1i BUT my incentive to buy was that my old 3rd party remote control failed so I bought the T7i for the wifi and bluetooth features. Whether it was Canon Connect (iPAD) or the T7i itself, operating the camera remotely was extremely frustrating with agonizing setup, then dropped connections. Had to return... Show More

Fantastic upgrade for a photo-fanatic mom!
I finally upgraded from my dearly loved and well-used Canon Rebel XS that I've had for 10 years to the new Canon T7i. What a fantastic upgrade!! I'm not a pro but just a creative mom who takes lots of pictures of my kids and family friends. I've been keeping my 50mm prime lens on the camera primarily, and I'm so impressed with the sharpness and bold coloring of my photos! The touch screen is super handy and easy to learn, but the biggest change I've noticed is the focal points - I'm amazed at this camera's ability to accurately focus and produce super sharp, crisp images. I'm a fan!!

My Recent Purchase of the EOS RBL T71DG CAM/18-55
I love my new camera! I am in awe of the clarity of the images. It is pretty easy to use immediately, with the help of a few YouTube videos! I just gaze at the details I can now capture! B & H has been a wonderful vendor with whom to work. They are very responsice, prompt and have great ALL ROUND CUSTOMER SERVICE. They have a very fair and extensive return policy .They offer a B & H credit card giving you 12 months interest free to pay off the purchase. What could be easier! I will continue to purchase from B & H even though I live in Florida! Thank you B & H!

perfect for an enthusiastic novice
i read a lot of reviews. I did a lot of research. I was looking for a camera that I could use to film some teaching segments for a course Im developing for the medical school where I'm faculty... and I though it might be fun to have a camera to learn with as well. I found it all with the Canon T7i. I was set on buying a Nikon initially, but my research suggested otherwise. I'm so happy I went with the Canon. It is teaching me, guiding me, and encouraging me while I am creating a curriculum on vidoe that I hope will be highly impactful.

Amazing Quality
This is an awesome Camera. I am going into my freshmen year of College and I decided that I wanted to buy a Camera. I have worked with the T5I and T6I through my Highschool for a number of years but wanted the latest and by far greatest. I am very pleased with the processor speed increase, especially when shooting in RAW at bursts. The video quality is amazing. Being able to shoot HD at 60 fps is very helpful. The battery life has improved with the newer model as well. Overall, glad I made my purchase and would do it again.

Love this camera.
Havent used this camera much so far, but its been very good. I checked the comments about this camera first, before buying it. That is the best way to make sure that the camera is good, besides listening to how good the camera works. Pix are very sharp. I have to figure out how to use the nice features of this camera as I go along. I am glad that I picked this camera to buy. Nice weight to it. Nice camera for the price. I have had 3 other Canon cameras. One of them was more money and the other 2 were about this price.

First DSLR
The T7i with 18-55mm lens is incredibly lightweight. I thought it was going to be heavy because of its size but the build is lightweight and seems to be durable as well. Feels really good in the hand for a secure grip when taking photos or video. Be sure to get an external mic suited for your needs, because it is a great improvement and much needed for audio. The photo quality is outstanding. Love the viewfinder and the flip-out to the side screen. I recommend this camera for vlogging and first time photographers.

Great entry-level+ camera
We recently bought the Cannon T7i for our main travel camera. While I have a fair amount of experience with professional level Nikons, my wife has only dabbled with cameras and really like using the Cannon entry levels. We decided to get the T7i after reading other reviews on the major advancements to the T6i, and we're very glad we did. It's a fantastic camera, very easy to use and allows one to fully control their shooting (full manual), let the camera do everything (full auto), and everything in between.

Happy with my Purchase
I've not had a DSLR in years. The T7i in its first weeks is going everywhere I go & three times to the National Wildlife area. The 18-135 covers the range of my ancient film camera 50 & 135mm that I was used to & enables group shots. Our second purchase form B&H. Fast delivery & expert help going through our existing lenses and my order. All I needed to do was pick a camera body that was comfortable in my hand for a day I in the field. I added a 50-250mm used lens for it light weight.

Satisfied so far
Used the camera once for my sons wedding and am very satisfied with the performance so far. The camera worked liked it should, the pictures were great. The camera came earlier than it said it would, but that was great, I had time to check out the camera before I used it. The only problem I had was it cost a great deal for shipping, I thought I would be getting free shipping. I understand the tax, but shipping??? We who live far away are always suffering this fate!!! What can we do???

Great features
I wanted a lighter option than my full frame Canon and was planning to upgrade my SL1 to the SL2. The difference in focus points for this camera convinced me to upgrade to this instead of the SL2. The extra few ounces did not make that much of a difference since combining this with the new 35 mm macro gives me a very good walk around option about 2 pounds lighter than my full frame gear. Tested this with multiple lens and great results - quick and accurate focusing and sharp results.
