This Russell Hobbs iron from Argos works well, is easy to use and provides reasonably good steam. I had identified it as a possible due to fairly good reviews and as it was at an exceptionally good price in Argos, compared to other suppliers, the purchase was a no brainer. Pleased with it at this time as it is light and glides well on my various fabrics. I like the heat indication and I just make sure to iron my lower temperature items and then turn the heat us as I go onto heavier items.

We have owned this same model of Russell Hobbs for the last three years. We live in a hard water area of the South East. The iron gave reliable, efficient service throughout. The heating element was in good condition when control of the steam release failed. Even with this fault the iron was still usable and that is why we chose the identical iron as replacement.

This was a snap decision purchase as my iron broke and I needed one fast. I can honestly say it's the best iron I've ever had. If you haven't ironed before it's perfect for you as the lights system means that you just check the label on the clothing and alter the setting at the push of a button, no guess work like with a dial. Highly recommended product

This really is the best iron I’ve ever owned. I’ve bought very expensive before, but they were not as good as this one. Heats up well and auto cut off is a handy feature. Temperature colours are novel and easy to use. It’s very light even when full...holds a lot of water so you aren’t filling it up all the time, but irons even sheets and duvets easily. Extra long flex as well, which is always a good feature. I will use distilled water in it as that always adds extra life to any iron.

Best thing is the light display love it love it love it and people have complained about cord being in the way but to be honest this is not an issue I imagine those few with this issue have very small hands. One reviewer also stated this was a heavy iron, its definitely not its feather light as irons go the grip is fabulous the steam settings are great and for the price it's more than worth it. Ironing is a breeze I was more than pleasantly surprised. Well done Russell Hobbs!

The iron is easy to use. I love the buttons which allow you to change modes so easily and it's so much better than other irons that have the old turn button. It's quick in heating up, gives brilliant steam to quickly iron clothes. Only downside is that it comes with a small water beaker of 100ml. You have to fill it a couple of times.

Nice smooth ironing plate, liking the colour coding once I got used to it. No problems with the heating up and cooling down. Long lead and easy to use. Would recommend.

After reading so many good reviews I thought I'd got a bargain with this iron. Was disappointed to learn that steam is not available on the first two heat settings and it didn't iron as good as my previous iron. After a couple of uses the water spray decided not to work and water started pouring out of the hotplate. Packed it up and returned for a refund.

Only had this iron for a couple of weeks but on this limited use I would rate the product very highly. Easy to use, lots of features and does a good job. Also cheaper than similar quality irons. Haven't always found the brand very reliable but will have to see with that one.

I assumed the heat setting would also be numbered as well as coloured. The colours don’t bear resemblance to heat. Eg blue cold orange medium and then red meaning hot. But this iron is random colours so every time I use it I have to refer to the instructions to work out medium to high setting (green/purple) Heats up fast and glides over clothes. The steam button is in an awkward position but that doesn’t really matter. I wouldn’t recommend it especially if you are colour blind!

This iron is very good value. It's easy to use with a very convenient long lead. I need it to iron silk mostly and it is perfect. Its colour coded temperature guage is very useful and I like its safety features such as turning off if not used for a while. I would certainly recommend it, I have not been dissapointed, it does the job perfectly.

Lightweight iron, good cord length, good sole plate . Very annoying having to press the button to adjust it at the different temperatures , there is no dial to select the temperature for the Garment you are about to iron. Water fill chamber is small. The speed of the iron on steam for cotton is excellent and I can iron creases out very quickly. And get through loads of ironing in little time. Overall good price shame about the design.

This iron is so easy to use. Does everything it promised. The temperature gauge even lets me know if I’ve wandered off for a cuppa by beeping at me and flashing lights!!!! Very good value for the money.

This iron is absolutely excellent. I only have two complaints. One, because of where the temperature control button is located it is relatively easy to accidentally change the temperature. That said, the color indicator makes it very clear that you have done so. Second, and I admit this is nit-picky, it would be nice to have the temp guide printed on the iron (i.e. which setting is best for which fabric). Again, this isn't horrible, these are listed in the manual. This is an excellent iron.

I bought this after my previous iron wouldn't switch on. Its colour and design won me over and I wasn't disappointed with the performance. With the heat settings at the couch of a button and lights that change to the appropriate colour settings. The steam rate is adjustable and an option with an extra button for more max steam when in the max setting used for denim. It's also very light which some other products aren't. I highly recommend this product.

Have only used the iron 4 times (so it's still early days), but so far, so great. Pros: Excellent price, easy to use (colour-coding system for temperature is great once I figured it out), and steaming function has worked a treat. Have tested it on a wide variety of clothing/fabrics (including delicates like silk, denim clothing, etc.), and it's done great across the board. All in all, 5/5 product. At this point, would recommend to others to definitely buy.

A good iron with easy to use colour coded steam settings for crease free ironing. I am staying at my mums at the moment and bought the iron for us both to use. My mum is a pensioner and finds the iron quite heavy and cumbersome to use, but I find the iron easy to handle. I am particularly pleased with the steam settings, because they enable crease free results regardless of the material. The only downside for me is that I will be doing all the ironing!

Had the above iron for a couple of weeks now and we both like it very much. It is unusual to have a press button and led temperature indicator but we love it, you are no longer catching the temperature control know very time you pick the iron up. We only hope that this feature is not short lived as irons normally last approximately 10 years in our household. Would recommend.

Whomever came up with this design is a genius. This iron is a dream to use.! The colour control makes ironing enjoyable ( i really found it a bore previously). The box comes with the colour settings on the side and clearly labelled on the iron too making it very simple and self explanatory to use. This iron glides over clothing well. I have had it now a couple of weeks and can say it's a great purchase and has cut ironing time by over half.
