I bought a pair of these to record interviews, and absolutely love them. Very easy to conceal (with lots of attachments included), and they feel sturdy for such tiny mics. The sound quality is excellent. I'm using them with a Tascam DR40, very happy with everything about them except the packaging is a bit large so carrying 2 in the original cases is tough in a small bag.

Really a great performing mic at this price range. This was another B&H staffer's recommendation, and he steered me absolutely correct. Much cheaper than other lavs and no noticeable difference in quality. It's basic, but value-priced, and comes with plenty of accessories for various mounting options.

This was my first wired lav mic. It is solidly built and provided clean audio even when recorded directly into the Zoom H1. The cable is extremely long (9.8' / 3m), but connects securely into the power module. There are a number of accessories for attaching it to your talent, which is really convenient.

This Lav. Mic was recommended to me as being equal to the Sony brand. I found the sound equal if not better than the sony 44 or 55. There was a big savings. The equipment was very different than Sony but worth getting used to....

For those on a budget, get this mic. The mic is tiny, comes with all kinds of little accesories for attaching (you probably won't use most of them, but who knows.) If you can't spend much on a mic, there is no other to get.

It does a great job of cutting out the noise. Gets a little distort with deep voices, but only a little. I wish that I would have known that it came with a full set of clips and wind covers. I bought an extra clip and windcover and didn't need either.

This mic came as a recommendation from a B&H employee via IM Chat. His advice was spot on! I needed a low profile mic with great sound for DSLR filming and the AT899 worked perfectly! I have not one complaint about it.

I can't say enough good things about this lavalier microphone. Everything you need is included, an it sounds great. If you are considering a condenser, don't do it. This is the way to go, no clunky sounds just pure audio. Great for Churches.

so far I like this mike quite a bit .. very cost effective with clear sound, and comes with a bunch of mounting accessories....pre-wired for the ATW-T1801 - Portable Bodypack Transmitter, which is great..

This microphone is very nicely made. It sounds great, and is also nice and compact. My only criticism is that the cord that goes from the camera to the power supply should be longer. I recommend getting a 15' adapter cable along with this.

I am working on a documentary right now. Was in Iceland for a month and now in Denmark. I have to say the mic held up really well for extreme weather conditions. If you are shooting when it is really windy it picks it up. But I guess any Mic will do that. For its price you cant beat it

I've done everything with this mic from record live bands to interviews.. and as long as this mic was running at any sort of proper level... it's good to go! funny, this mic was a lot less money a few years ago too... i guess it's reputation has increased its value..

I haven't used this product yet, but will be using it for video interviews. From trial runs, it seems that it picks up sound great, though I think you do have to be careful because of its sensitivity of it picking up rustling. Otherwise, sound is clear and strong and can't wait to use it!

The mic is good for it's price but it's definitely not the highest quality available, which we knew full well before purchasing it. Definitely a good buy for our start-up however the levels are a bit lower than hoped for.

Is this the warmest, richest lav on the planet? Maybe not. But unless you're a sound nerd / perfectionist utterly obsessed with sound specs, this mic will do the job very, very nicely. And at this price an excellent value. Bought 2 & very happy.

I waited a year to write this review. I wanted to see how it would hold up and it has done well. The sound is excellent for the price. Actually it sounds better than some of my mics costing 2-3 times as much. It's a good purchase at a fair price. The only bad review was from a novice...says it all.

Good quality sound however the battery pack was so far from the actual mic that it just ended up being awkward. I didn't like putting it on the floor but it really wasn't long enough to mount on my camera. I eventually bought an extension.

I have been using this for a couple years and would recommend to another user. I pair two of these to a field recorder and they are high quality. The accessories included with the microphone are great as well.

At that price level this mic can't be beat for sound quality and ease of use. Its very easy to hide in hair or clothing and comes with all the clips you will ever need. I would recommend this mic anytime...

This mic has a rich, true sound which works well for voice. It's really small, and unobtrusive. One word of caution: there are a lot of kit configurations you can order. Make sure you order the one you want - especially if you need the power adapter - it's twice the price to order it separately.
