Huge time saver and headache reliever!
I use this quick release for my Canon T2i DSLR. I constantly have to switch from going handheld to using a tripod and/or shoulder support rod system to shoot photos and video, so this quick release base and plate system is the perfect solution! I love how all I have to do is sit my camera down on the already open base plate and then it automatically clamps it in place! It is way better than having to screw and unscrew my camera whenever I need to put it on/take it off for whatever reason.

Brings new life to old tripod
I have an 40 year old (but still in very good shape) tripod, but it only has an old school 0.25 threaded nut for connecting a camera. Adding this adapter now gives me a high quality quick-release for the Tripod, and save me hundreds in having to buy a whole new tripod. My only complaint, and its a SMALL one, is that the clamp does not secure down quite as far as I want it to. Mechanically, it is very secure, but from a tactile perspective, a feel like it should lock down a tiny bit more.

Please release me
Not one to give up on my nearly antique Tiltall tripod, I wanted to extend its usefulness. Add a quick release. Not just any manufacturer's, but one made by a trusted supplier. Ergo: the 323RC2. In a flash I can mount my camera and as quickly remove it without fear of damage from dropping it because I was fumbling with the 1/4-20 screw. The fit and finish is great, the secondary locking pin is reassuringly positive. What more could I ask for? Great product that I will recommend.

Awesome
I purchased 2 of these to use and test out for still and film with my Mark II's and couldn't be happier. The price may be inexpensive but they are not cheep (meaning bad). Very strong, and very simple. Especially when I am shoot with 70-200 2.8, 24-70 2.8 lens's, 8 inch field monitor, and other equipement, these have no give. Great double locking pin also. I have decideded to purchase 3 more because of the reliability and especially the price. I can't recommend anything else.

Great compact adapter
I had been using a larger bulkier qd adapter for my scope. As a shooter and sometimes wildlife/birdwatcher I use the spotting scope on both a tripod and a specialty stand that clamps onto a bench. I find the Manfrotto 323 using the 200pl plates are less bulky much quicker and seem to be very secure. The way my old adapters are made, they are much more secure than the Manfrotto but i will give that up for the convenience, plus the Manfrotto plate fits on my camera much better.

Perfect for my need
I have the same RC2 quick release plate on Manfrotto tripods and a monopod. This adapter is a perfect addition to my window mount. Since I purchased extrate plates to keep them on my long lense and spotting scope this adapter makes it much easier to switch to the car mount in a hurry. The 323 adapter is well made and is holding up to staying in the pickup behind the seats. I plan on getting a couple more to add quick release funtionality for the spotting scpoes at my work.

Good Quick Release
First you don't need a 3/8-16 to 1/4-20 Reducer Bushing as it comes with one. Also note that the bottom is not entirely flat. The release lever's hinge protrudes past flat at approximately 1 off center. Not a big deal as it will fit many bases but I have a Oben monopod that required some extra work extending the set screws past the base plate to lock and support this quick release. The quick release works well but may need some closer attention for secure assembly.

Works great
I am using this with my Canon 7d for hd video. Works perfect with my tripod and makes life so much easier. I just click it in and I don't have to worry about sliding the tripod plate in and out. It is sturdy and well made. I gave it 4 stars because it doesn't fit well with my glider track which was a bummer. It may simply be due to the design on the track but I am hoping to figure out a work around because having a quick release certainly makes things go smoother.

Quick and Solid
As I already have a Manfrotto 322-RC2 Grip Action Ballhead (*love it!*) I'm fairly committed to the 200PL style quick release plate. It's well suited to most DSLR needs, always available and an excellent value for the modest cost. I picked this set up with the Velbon Super Mag Slider Macro Rail I bought (look for my review on the Velbon!). The 323 RC2 set is a great way to add quick release speed and convenience to existing setups without breaking the bank.

All Camera's now fit both of my Tripods
I purchased the 323 RC2 and also 2 200PL-14 Plates, to convert my Slik Tripod to be able to use all 3 of my canon cameras on the Slik Tripod as well as my Manfrotto Trpd, without having to change the adapter plate each time I switch cameras. I have the SX50, 2TI, and the 7d MKII. I am pleased with the expedient delivery of the items, as well as the help I got from B & H. The quick release adapter and plates are solid , well built and easy to use.

Poorly designed locking mechanism
Depending on how you mount this plate it can be extremely difficult (and not very quick) to be able to reach the tiny release lever lock mechanism - I am baffled as to why Manfrotto would make this a fraction of an inch. Not well designed. I continue to use this adapter but never engage the lock which means I have to be incredibly careful or my camera could come flying off - definitely not ideal, but for the size / price you get what you pay for.

Securely Holds Cameras
I tried 'made in China' imitation 200pl plates and holders and found quality control issues. On some the plate didn't fit snugly in the holder. Some you couldn't fully clamp the plate. I finally went back to all 'made in Italy' plates and adapters and heads and am happy that my cameras are not going to come loose. Probably at the worst possible time. Although Manfrotto might not be the most high tech gear, it is certainly robust and well made.

Solid Value...
I really like this system. I end up using my tripod and monopod more often, because it's easier to connect my cameras. Additionally, I like the ability to connect a Black Rapid camera strap to the plates (via a replacement 1/4 screw). Overall, this system paired with the appropirate Black Rapid parts, allows me to secure my camera on any platform (strap, tripod, monopod) and VERY easily switch. For the price I think this is a very solid value.

Best QR system for the price.
This represents a move to standardize all my tripods and monopods, big telephotos and camera bodies to the Manfrotto quick release system. I've read reviews of more expensive systems, but honestly can't see any weak points to the Manfrotto system, and the price is reasonable. I have several spare plates, and leave them attached to each camera body and large telephoto so that I can quickly move from tripod to tripod to monopod and back.

Manfrotto best quality for the price
I bought this so I could leave my quick release on my camera without disassembling my sliding plate for macro photography. Manfrotto has done very well providing solid equipment at a reasonable price. The mechanism operates very smoothly, resembling the highest end products that cost a months wages. I had to set it up sideways due to clearances, but it operates perfectly in this position and makes getting to taking pictures faster.

I have bought this product several times.
Have used Manfrotto's quick release adapters for years. Much easier to use than others and readily available. Place an adapter on top of the tripod AND on top of your head and plates on the bottom of the head and camera and we are able to swap between 5 different types of head. The RC2 system has sufficient rigidity to support any camera/lens combination. We even use it with our binoculars (suitably modified with a plate attached).

Just what I wanted.
My Main Use for it: Not sure if anyone had the same need I did for this plate, but basically it was to raise up my E-P1 from the base of a StroboFlip bracket because bigger lens tends to touch the bracket without it. What's Great about it: I have two heads that accept Manfrotto plates so it was nice to have it all standardized like that. Good build quality. What's not so great about it: I guess the price could be a bit lower IMO.

Great product.
I bought a PNC GearBox Cage last year and the mounting screw became stripped. Had no luck finding a replacement without paying for a brand new unit. Luckily the sales associate at the store suggested this item. SO glad that they did, this was a lifesaver. Now I can mount my camera to the rig within seconds and unmount without having to screw my camera in. Saves me time and the headache. Extremely secure and reliable.. so far.

Doesn't fit all tripods/monopods
I have other Manfrotto quick releases including a 324 pivoting head and bought this as a lighter weight version to use on my Vangard Monopod, which has a fairly large plate. There is a protusion on the bottom of he base on this plate that will not allow it to screw all the way onto the monopod. I was able to use spacers and the 1/4 to 5/16 converter from the monopod to make it work. Should work on most heads with no problem.

Just what I needed
I purchased this item to attach my 7D and rod system to my modified glidecam setup and it works great. I went with this option being that I already had several of the RC2 style quick release plates. The only negative, if not accounted for, or should I say if people don't read these reviews is the fact that it doesn't sit perfectly flat. That can certainly be overcome with some sort of spacer. Couldn't be happier!

Manfrotta Quick Release Adapter
The Manfrotto Quick Release Adapter is perfect for any photographer or videographer, regardless of experience. I used this for a self-made Fig Rig so I could steady my camera for motion shots. The camera clicks into place with zero effort and the build of the adapter holds my camera completely still. Whether it's for a tripod or a self-made rig, there's no better product on the market than the Manfrotto Adapter.

Good solid bracket. Bought for my monopod.
My small travel tripod has this style QR bracket, and my camera and 70200mm lens have matching plates. But whenever I used my monopod, I had to take the bracket off. So I bought this for my Manfrotto monopod and all is well. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it is just a very good QR bracket and plate. Nothing more or less. If it doesn't change my life, I don't believe in giving 5 stars.

Perfect fit
I have an old Bogen tripod that had the simple screw head and I finally had it with unscrewing and screwing my cameras off and on the sticks. I decided to go with this retro-fitted adapter and couldn't be more satisfied with it. I especially like the little fail-safe lever that keeps the lock-down from slipping open and dropping the camera like it did with a pro friend of mine who had a lesser adapter.

Great addition to my Manfrotto 7322YB-BB
I bought this to use with my Manfrotto 7322YB-BB tripod. My tripod came with an attached ball head but without a quick release. It fits very well on my tripod. It is a very solid and heavy duty quick release. It added some weight to me light tripod( which is noticeable); however, I don't feel like I have to worry about my cameras being attached it and coming off. This is a very well made item.
