LaCie 2TB Rugged USB 3.0 Type-C External Hard Drive

Works well
So for the folks who remember this company from 2000 and their advertisements for products geared towards the Mac market, it should be noted that as of 2014 that LaCie is a Seagate company. DEPENDABLE
I love LaCie hard drives and SSD's. This 5TB hard drive is as solid as a rock. I have gotten rid of all of my other drives and ONLY use the LaCie Rugged drives now. I use Adobe Premiere Pro on my Mac Pro (late 2013) computer and my LaCie rugged drives are a perfect fit. LaCie uses Seagate drives which has been a very dependable drive for me for many years. Seagate has been around since 1979.

Great drive!
Drive is as described. Seems rugged (haven't put it to the test yet) and works well. I get about 95 MB/s read and write, so the absolute fastest but fast enough for archival needs.

Nice look, fast speed, but..
Nice look, fast speed, but sometimes it disconnects spontaneously. It can be drive or cable issues.

Great Drive, Quick and USB C is a plus
This thing is exactly as advertised. Speed is the same as quoted in the specs. USB C is great for future proofing. When I originally plugged it in, it's capacity read 430mb.... Had to contact LaCie support, but we sorted it out after determining that it had created a partition for itself. Strange, but it now works great.
