This Manfrotto Element Small Aluminum Traveler Tripod is wonderful. It's incredibly versatile, compact, strong, easy it work with. It's great to use when I go for a walk, with a dslr/lens attached, light enough to walk with in one hand. The telescoping center column is removable and the ball head is mountable directly to the center section, and with the legs out all the way it goes down to 5 in. ( 12.3 cm ). This tripod also came with removable rock/ice picks, as well as 3 Allen keys/wrenches for any adjustments. The ball head and plate are easy to work with, as well as the twist locks are great.
