Great Tripod for the money
Medium duty, quality built. I especially like the easy of the 90 pivot system. No tools, no "unscrewing" and parts. Feels sturdy. The pan tilt head is a nice alternative to my much larger and more expensive Manfrotto geared head. Great kit for the price for a portable unit / kit.

Really Like
Really like this sturdy tripod. Have already used it for a shoot at the Las Vegas Neon Museum. Just pay attention to the instructions. They warn about pinched fingers, and sure enough, I got one when I was not focused. My bad. One trial learning!

Big and sturdy
I like to photograph wildlife and, as such, use a pretty heavy Tamron 150-600 mm lens. I needed something to handle the weight and this tripod does all that and more. I like that there are only three sections to deploy and really like the ability to move the center post into a horizontal position. The ability to lower this unit nearly to ground level and use the center post horizontally is great for wide angle landscape or macro work. Be aware th... Show More

Manfrotto Tripod
Best tripod I ever owned. Very sturdy and durable. I simply love it! Manfrotto is always the way to go in my book.

Great pan-tilt head for the price
Love it. Haven't actually taken any photos yet, but played with it. Seems high quality, metal mostly, made in Italy thankfully. The friction knobs are invaluable. They make it smooth enough to pan and tilt the head and have it stop when you stop, and not go back a little. Would buy again.

Work well for about 1 Year
Screw fell out inside and now 1 leg is stuck. Can't seem to disassemble to repair. Need to send back.

Smooth/easy to use
I Photographed an interior for a local designer and this head was smooth the adjustments were quick and easy. Love it. Just be careful you have the quick release plate all the way screwed into your camera. Almost had a mishap with that.

My Next Tripod
I bought this tripod primarily for using in Real Estate and Architecture to replace an older tripod that I wore out over the past few years. Two primary reasons for picking this tripod was for the pivoting head to get around corners (such as bathrooms) and the tall height for those interiors with ceilings above 12 feet. This tripod feels heavy but really solid. I can pivot the center column with a geared head and full frame camera and it doesn't ... Show More

outstanding tripod
I just recently purchased this tripod primarily for the quick flip mechanism on the center column that allows easy close-to-ground camera placement. It replaces my older magnezium fiber Manfrotto 055 series tripod. I use it with a Gitzo ball head, and an Acratech leveling head. I spent two days photographing on the Pacific Northwest Coast and at Mt. Rainier NP. I LOVE this tripod. It is light, very sturdy, and very quick to set up. I LOVE th... Show More

Solid
a bit on the heavy side, but this is a fairly large tripod. Just make sure you purchase some type of carry bag for it as it does not come with one. Also keep in mind if you have a separate head to make that fit into the bag also. The nice carbon fiber can scratch if you decide to carry it without a bag. The tightening clips are super solid. So much so that i caught my finger on the wrong side of it and ended up with a slightly bloody finger. (it bites) Overall great solid tripod!

Nice upgrade
Very nice tripod. It's a nice upgrade from the aluminum one that I've been using. Nice new features like the bubble level and the ability to slide the center column to the side for macro work.

Heavy Duty
It is heavy when compared to the Manfrotto travel tripods. It feels and looks sturdy. I bought it with the short handled 3-way head. I wasn't sure about the short handles, but I like how unobtrusive they are to use. Plus, the tension adjustment. Makes for more controlled and precise positioning of my camera. My travel tripod has the ball head. I like this 3 way over the ball head due to the control I have with it which the ball head lacks

form follows function
Simple, straightforward, ergonomically logical, and sturdy. Nothing to be improved upon. It compliments a high quality tripod and a fine camera.

Sturdy, Easy to use Tripod
For years I have used inferior tripods, this one is very sturdy and stable so pictures are sharp, not blurry. Quick to set up and just what I was looking for. I shopped in person and was not able to find one that was sturdy. After looking at many reviews, checking specifications and a few reliable referrals I purchased this one and am glad I did. It is fairly expensive but it should last for many years. I would recommend it to those who might hav... Show More

Great tripod, subpar for price
I have used this same tripod for several years now via work. It's a wonderful tripod, incredibly durable and able to hold so much more weight than expected. Fairly lightweight. My biggest annoyance is with the packaging and included accessories : WHICH IS NONE. All other tripods come with a carrying case, potentially some ice pick adapters for the feet to be used on slippery surfaces, some allen keys......this is a tripod in a box folks. Luckily ... I like it very much!!
Even though it was not the one I really wanted, it turned out to be just fine for what I needed it to do, it is extremely light and easy to use. The center post when untightened seems a bit flimsy and shaky, but overall it is a good tripod and I'm very satisfied with it.

Worth it! Durable
I've been using this for over 2 years every single day, never had any issues whatsoever. I am architectural photographer and i have used it for over 500 shoots, yeah the rubbers at the bottom are wearing out a little but I've used it and brushed it on all kinds of surface and I am surprised its still going strong. the screws eventually get a little loose after all these years but it took me 2 minutes to tighten it up and is as good as new. I would recommend it to anyone whether its their first tripod or a pro who shoots outdoors in all kinds of conditions.

Sturdy and Easy to Use
I have used my new tripod several times, and I really enjoy the ease of adjustments. It is also quick to adjust the tripod for horizontal shots. It would receive 5 starts except it is not as light as I would like, but that requires a carbon fiber tripod!. This one is affordable and works beautifully.

Sturdy Tripod
Nice, sturdy tripod. I prefer the lever leg locks of this model over the twist type of other models.

What an upgrade
Ive been doing real estate photography for about a year now. My previous tripod, also carbon fibers, was a four section device. Very cumbersome to adjust the height. This unit is much easier to raise and lower. The ball head is considerably better in every way. Highly recommended.

New Fan!
After many years of using an aluminum tripod, I made the commit to carbon fiber. Pro friends said to quit stalling and I'm glad I made the move. Solid, sturdy tripod that works really well. Quick release clamps make adjusting the legs easy. The ball head clamps tight right where I need it to. I'm impressed with the workmanship and quality of the product.
