This low Profile quick release adapter is one of manfrotto's best. It has enough surface area to make the attachment to the tripod very secure. It also gives great flexibility if you add additional mounting plates to other cameras or lenses. After trying this adapter on a few jobs, I have decided to reconfigure all of my gear with this combo.

Doesn't slip and slide
This is the same quick release that's integral to my geared head that I've used for many years. In my opinion, it's the best QR setup out there. Large plate for substantial cameras. Snaps in hands free when already cocked. Does not slip and slide as other Manfrotto QRs do. I don't understand why they don't use this for all their QRs.

awesome quick release for 5d and 7d
I'm very impressed with almost all Manfrotto products. These qr adapters are great. i put them on every tripod, monopod, and zacuto item i have. very durable and solid feel. make sure you have a coin or something small and flat to tighten the screws after you put the camera on. they are well made and they just work. simple as that.

Effective Quick Release solution
Coming from a feature film world where I am used to RBQ release plates this was the most appropriately sized solution to get a similar experience. I use these plates on my glidecam, monopod, and tripods. They are strong and reliable giving me confidence that they aren't going to fail if the tripod takes a hit. I've been impressed.

Love it
Its a very solid quick release plate that works perfectly with my Glidecam HD 2000. This is the one to use for the glidecam! Don't listen to what anyone else says - trust me. The other commonly used ones eject from the side, but the DSLR tends to get in the way because of this. This ejects from the back, making it perfect.

Fast and sturdy, everything you need
There isn't much to say about this item. It does exactly what it needs to do, hold the camera firmly in place and quckly release the plate with the press of a button. It's the perfect size for a DSLR camera, and is designed so that you can still access the battery panel without needing to remove the plate or moving it all.

Awesome
This is my first quick release. I bought this to mount my T3i onto my Autopilot stabilizer so I wouldn't have to keep re-balancing it. Works great. The lever in which you have to release is a little stiff, but I'm not sure if it's just not broke in or if that's the normal operation. Either way, I'm happy with my purchase.

Sturdy, easy to use
I use this to adapt my Graphic View 4x5 to a Gitzo tripod. It is perfect! I leave it connected to the pan head (unique to Graphic View), it is easy to remove and detach, it fits in the case since it is low profile, it is very sturdy, necessary because the graphic view is pretty heavy. I'm very satisfied with this adapter.

Great Plate System
These are a great quick release plate system. I bought three of them right away and they are very useful and worth the price. I use these for my tripods and glidecam and can easily maneuver with ease. Especially for weddings they are useful because you have to be able to work on the fly. I would recommend these to anyone.

Couldn't ask for a better solution
Wonderful low profile mount. A little large as it extends beyond the profile of both the camera and the battery grip attachment. However, a wonderful solution, high quality construction and function. PRO: includes standard tripod/monopod mounts as to not restrict use of tripods/monopods without the corresponding adapter.

Excellent Quick Release Plate
I love using these plates and adapters! I switched over from the Giottos adapter and I like these so much more. This works perfect with every piece of gear I own. I prefer the release lever as opposed to the tightening screw on other models. It fits very snug and I've not had any problems with it slipping or twisting.

Made in Italy, High Quality and Makes life much easier
Best quick release system out there, Made in Italy. Using with Canon 5d Mark III with no issues at all. Manfrotto always has the quality goods. Super convient if you are moving your camera from a multitude of diffferent stabilization devices. I use mine with steadicam , tripod , 3 axis gimbal stabilzer, etc...

Should have bought this a long time ago...
This is perfect for my run-n-gun DSLR rig. It lets me pull my P&C shoulder rig off a tripod nice and slick, and put it right back on just as quick. I will be buying one for the camera itself soon so that I can yank just it off for easy still pics. This is the best investment I've made since the camera.

I love it!
I used these quick releases on two cameras during a recent safari in Africa.Just snap the camera with the plate onto your tripod and in my case also a beanbag and there you go. Squeeze the lever to release and you are hand holding. I have two so I can snap either camera to either support.

Excellent for my application
I have a couple of 5ds and multiple tripods, sliders, and rigs. These quick releases make swapping equipment super fast and easy. Solid construction. Sometimes it's a little difficult to get the release lever to move, but the overall value is excellent. I own four and am ordering 2 more.

Awesome QR system
I used all the #394 base on top of all my tripods (and monopods) and plates on all my ball heads, 3-way heads, macro slider, gliders and adapters so I could switch tripods and monopods with ease. Still using them since over 20yrs with the cork covered top. Best piece of engineering.

a very convenient addition
the perfect thing to have if your moving cameras from tripod to tripod or need to move quickly. I use it to connect a video slider to two tripods and on the camera to not have to take the time to screw in a base plate every time I use a tripod. just attach it and leave it on.

Good Quick Release Adapter
It's quick, it's easy, it does what it's supposed to. Bought 2 to match the tripod head I already had so I could put on on a slider and one on a glidecam so i could easily transfer the camera to each platform. Can be a little hard to release the arm sometimes though.

Buy it Again, and Again, and Again...
Secure, high quality build and stable. I have this on my monopod, tripod, stabilizers and anything else that requires mounting. It works perfectly well. Anyone shooting fast paced events, like weddings or sports, you need this Quick Release Adapter from Manfrotto.

Very Secure QR Mount
I've used a number of quick release systems both personally and in school. The Manfrotto RC4 system is both fast and secure. Not all of Manfrotto's QR systems are, but this one I am confident enough to put the camera on the tripod one-handed and walk away.

Allows quick changes to be quick!
Absolute must have. I initially thought this would be a primarily in the field tool but I'm yet to take it off my sticks in controlled environments as well. Its used to easily transition from glider to monopod to sticks. Cant imagine not having it.

Love this release plate!
I got 4 of these to put on my different setups. Now I can move my camera very quickly from glidecam to tripod to monopod to shoulder rig very quickly and with little hassle. I also like the built in bubble level. Makes balancing my glidecam easier.

Excellent, Does What It's Supposed To
I use this indoors in situations where stabilization is necessary. This quick release makes it easy and fast to remove the camera from the tripod to shoot without one. I haven't found anything wrong with it. I use it with a Nikon D3 and D300.

Does its job well
We use this product not for photography, but as a part of our wireless engineering laboratory to mount radios on to a tripod stand. The quick release is easy to use, and the mount is super stable. Negatives: None, as far as our use cases go.
