Solid quick release plate
As a DSLR videographer, I use this quick release plate on all of my rigs. I use a handheld rig and a tripod-mounted slider, each with the Manfrotto QR plate so that I can quickly move my Canon 5Dmk2 between the two. It was worked very well, though the release mechanism seems to be a bit sticky at times.... I only need only top plate (since it is attached to my camera), but could use multiple bottom plates, since that is what attaches to the rigs, slider, and tripod.

Excelent Quick Release Plate w/ adapter
I've bought the adapter with the release plate because I have 2 cameras and a Manfrotto MGRC-4 Ball Head where I use it on.... so, I needed another plate to let the full set ready for use... I have a small safe guard where I keep all my gear, so I could fit everything inside using the adapter fix on the side, letting the gear left easier to rearrange. The Adapter is well made, really well finished, very solid and tight, great for Medium and Large Format cameras...

Excellent QR Plate, Well Made
Bought 4 of these to be able to quickly connect/disconnect various camera bodies, lenses, sliders, etc. Already had the Manfrotto 410 Junior geared head which uses the same plate, so everything works well together. The QR Adapter is solid, well planned out, the release is very secure and the bubbles make leveling easy. Also, includes both 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 screws for whatever you made need to mount this to. They're a little expensive, but will last a lifetime.

Almost great
I love that I know it's in place as soon as I hear the snap. Unfortunately, there is no second screw hole. Because of this, it's prone to twisting. I have one on my glidecam; and, while I like that it's ready to go as soon as I snap it on, it slowly starts twisting over a few days (or hours) of use. I have to remove the glidecam plate, align and tighten. It has two pin holes, but nothing for a second screw. Come on, Manfrotto! You should have thought of this!

Great Product
I bought a number of these recently from B&H. So far, I am extremely pleased. It takes just seconds for me to take my jib off my tripod, and replace it with a slider. Or remove my 60D from the end of the jib, and place it on my stabilizer. The QR plates lock in solid and once you get used to how to place them on properly you will be on your way. What a timesaver! Don't hesitate ... get yourself a few of these. They are well built and a good bargain!

Great quick release solution
These plates are a lot larger than I thought they'd be, which is great, because they're absolutely solid. I have no doubt about it when it's locked in that it'll stay in place. This would be my recommendation for anyone using DSLR video rigs where the sliding 501 plates are not an option due to space considerations. After several months of frustration on using a 577/501PL for a glidecam, shoulder rig, and so on, this has made my life so much easier!

very good adapter/plate
I have a bunch of this adapters /plates. I started using them back in 2002 when I bought several of them and installed them on a couple of big tripod model 3033 and bought also a monopod 3231 and used three of this adapters/plates on those three items...it's been super since and recently I bought a monopod model 682B with detachable legs and installed another of this adapters/plates on it. What else can I say?...super, never ever had a problem.

Perfect for 5D MKII and Glidecam 2000
I use this exclusively for my Canon 5D MKII w/EF 16-35mm 2.8 L lens and Glidecam 2000 Pro (purchased in Spring of 2011). The Glidecam/5D combo is rather useless without a quick release and this one is perfect. It adds significant weight to the whole setup so re-balancing was necessary but not a big deal. Love having the bubble level on the rig now, makes balance so much easier. Locking is rock solid and the quick release mechanism works great.

Worth the money!
The quick release really speeds up the process of removing or attaching a camera. I shoot with two Canon 7D's...but need to circulate them between a steadicam merlin, a slider, a tripod and a zacuto hand held rig. These are really a must if you are filming an event, and need to move quickly from one camera support to another. Sometimes it's a bit tricky to quickly snap the camera into the plate...but overall, very useful.

Very solid plate
I only give this 4 stars because my plate seems to be very tight. It's almost impossible to get the plate off without pulling on the lever with excessive force. With some wd40 it started working better. It's great for glide cams and steadicams because it's completely flat. It's actually a lot bigger than I thought it would be. About the size of your palm. It's very solid and I know it will last me a very longntime.

I'm sure I'll get used to it.
First of all, it's built solidly. After mounting it on my tripod, I found the lever for quick release to be designed differently than I anticipated. Meaning, you press the tab and move the lever forward. Upon seeing its design, I figured it would be more appropriate to move the lever toward you, rather than away. Nevertheless, once I got the hang of it, I'm sure I'll get used to mounting and releasing in no time.

Wasn't appropriate for me.
I bought this to attach a Sony A7S to a shoulder rig - the quick release adapter was way wider than i ever dreamt it could be and completely covered the A7Ss battery port, making it unusable for my purposes. The actual release lever also seemed to need a little too much force to release. I instead went with the Manfrotto 323 RC2 System Quick Release Adapter with 200PL-14 Plate which did the trick.

The Best QR Systems In The Market
This is probably the best quick release systems available in the market. The extra large plate provides a very large contact surface area for the camera to sit on and this is important to ensure maximum stability when mounted to a head and tripod. The locking mechanism also ensures no movement between the plate and the adapter. If you are into long exposure shoot, this piece of system is vital.

Easy and quick!
I find that this release plate has saved me countless times while in the middle of a shoot and having to switch the equipment over. All of our team use it and being able to pull a lever to get your camera off, and then simply placing your camera over the plate to connect it again makes our job that much better. Occasionally the lever gets a little stuck, but a quick jiggle and it's free again!

The perfect adapter for heavy duty photography.
I bought this to use with my Manfrotto monopod. I have converted to this meatier adapter since I typically use it with a rather heavy combo of my Pentax K1 and 150-450 telephoto. I also use this series of adapters for my solar telescope when I mount it on my tripod. It works perfectly, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a supremely secure mount for their precious hardware.

big bertha
The words low profile are very misleading in describing this clamp. I have a canon t2i and it sat on this thing like it would sit on a coffee table. maybe at 3/4's its size but as is it actually changed the way I'd hold my camera ...It is by far the easiest to use and fastest quick release clamp I've seen and it seemed very secure as well. If you have a larger camera then I'd say go for it.

Sturdy and well made
Got about 3 of these, 2 of which were for my Slide Track as it is takes time to mount the slider track on 2 tripods. This is built pretty heavy duty, works really well. Adds some weight to your camera (I was concerned my Syrp Genie would have trouble with the added weight) but it still worked well. Would recommend this to anyone who wants is tired of setup and tear downs of their equipment.

Easy and quick!
Effectively I find that this particular plate is the quickest and easiest to use in its class. When I'm filming a wedding I don't have time to fiddle around with these things, so when it's a flick of a lever to pop my camera off a tripod and onto a Glidecam, I find that this plate has saved me valuable time!Occasionally the lever will catch but a quick jiggle and it's free again.

A solid product.
I now have two of these quick releases. I bought the first one for my personal camera a few years ago. I got another one for my dSLR at work. Using it can be hard to get used to at first, but once you get the hang of it you'll appreciate the solid feel, and the 'no doubt about it' security. Also the spirit levels are a nice feature and come in handy for some shooting situations.

Works Great!
works great right out of the box. The plate that attaches to my 5d isnt bulky at all and doesn't interfere with the battery access. I plan on just leaving it on all the time. The two levels are a nice addition as well since my tripod doesn't have any. My only gripe is that the release is a little bit stubborn at times. Other than that its a welcome addition to the outfit.

Very good quick release sys by Manfrotto
I have purchased many of these over the years, for all my gear. All my cameras, pods and lenses etc. are set up with this system and therefore I have eliminated the need for any adapters or needing to change out any of my gear in the field or in the studio, big time saver and less to carry. They are very well built and supports the heaviest of my camera and lens combos.

BEST QR in the world.
I spent hours and hours researching and trying different QR plates and none of them seemed that great, until I found the 394. This is one of those items you might be on the fence about, I'm telling you just buy it, it is worth every penny. Yes it is expensive, but it will be the first and last QR plate you will ever buy. I have 4 of them on all of my gear. BUY IT!!!

Happy
I built myself a IGUS slider but I had trouble mounting it to my two tripods. The 394 was just the ticket. Now I can easily snap on my IGUS slider in mere seconds. I would recommend buying at least 2 or 3 of these. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because sometimes I have to apply a lot of pressure to release the brackets. Overall I am happy.

Bogen QUick Release RC4
This is a great value for the money. I use it for a Mamiya RB67 macro setup as well as my Canham 4x5. I just finished cludging a heavyweight focusing rail using an old monorail view camera rail and lens standard along with the RC4 system which allowed some serious modifications. Everyone is happy as they all work together at a very resonable price!
