Temperamental and overly-complicated
I came to this printer from a middle-of-the-road laser printer, hoping to be able to print both letter and tabloid sheet music on a medium scale (1000-10,000 pages per month). After only a few days, I have ultimately decided to return this printer and try a better one by another company instead. First thing I did was load up 8.5" x 11" and do a test print. Amazing printer for 11x17
I'm a self-published composer of classical music and I do a lot of 11x17 printing for large orchestral scores, as well as 11x17 prints folded into 8.5x11 booklets. For a couple years now I've been looking for a monochrome printer that can handle paper this large, print double sided, and print with high resolution since notated music can have many small details. Great for double sided 11x17 printing
All I needed out of a laser printer was something that would print 11x17 double sided without any manual fiddling. This printer was less than half the price of any other printer I found that had the same capabilities. The others tended to be larger all-in-one models for major office use, and I didn't need any of those features. I just needed to print in booklet form with no extra steps. Not HP
Slow. Tricky to configure for using bypass traywith priority and legal/letter option. Slow.Slow is for very simple text documents. Slow is for receiving (both 100mbps and direct USB). After job is received, per page is okay. 1st page is VERY slow with no energy saving,no collation, etc. Was annoyed w/HP over warranty issue on m715 - so tried this one - it will be our last (we run 12 HP printers throughout office). Also had to reassign to single user, not able to withstand multi-user abuse like HPs can. Wish it were otherwise. (purchased Sept. 2015)

Constant Issues
We're a small office with a medium amount of printing on the daily. I bought this printer because of the added trays you can add to print lager 11x17 sizes quickly and efficiently. I unfortunately can't get through a 2-hour period without the printer jamming. My cheap printer from Staples worked for 7 years without any issue whatsoever; and this machine at 5x the cost is causing so many more issues. I'd love to throw it into the street and never see it again. What a waste of money.

Very sensitive - paper
Bought it about a couple of weeks ago, and had issues from day one. Setting up the paper and paper size is a pain. I was on the phone with Customer Support for about 2 hrs. All the paper used is creased up, regardless of weight, or type. We finally found one, recycled (!) which worked ok, but over all I am not impressed with the quality of the print, and how finicky can it get..... Would I buy it again ? no.

Works beautifully
I bought this printer to replace an aging 11x17 Epson. Setup was a little rough, but a call to Ricohs customer service had me up and running quickly. It turns out the problem was with my firewall settings. The mechanical drawings that we need in my business are clear, and print quickly.

Handles heavy card stock for menus very well. No smearing or bleeding of toner. QUALITY job!
