Yamaha LP-7A 3-PEDAL UNIT

Feb 8, 2020

Bought this unit for my wife after we purchased a Yamaha DGX 660. She loves it. I also helps make the Yamaha even more sturdy. The Yamaha comes with a single sustain pedal that works but has a tendency to move when using if your not careful. The unit was delivered on time as promised and was well packed.

Straightforward, easy installation!

Straightforward, easy installation! Needed this to complete my Yamaha DGX660 piano setup. It allows me to play classical pieces the way my teacher says how they should be played. The DGX660 is a portable grand piano, but I don't take the 3-pedal when we travel. (I use the little sustain pedal accessory that came with the DGX660.) Extremely pleased with this purchase!

perfect performance on all counts

Sep 8, 2014

Product arrived in perfect shape, with easy to follow instructions, and exactly as promised in terms of delivery time. I was surprised by simplicity of installation on my Yamaha keyboard, particularly since the keyboard's assembly instructions stressed that it was best to install the pedal unit early in the assembly process. The feel of the pedals is different than that of a piano. However, I found that after a very brief familiarization my use of the pedals was as instinctive as it has been for the piano I had played for most of my life.

Works as expected, nice having all three pedals instead of the one that is with most keyboards

Good addition to DGX-640

Came with a package deal. Was easy to install and appears to be not as flimsy as expected. Pedal action could be a bit more realistic.

Great accessory for your 635/640

Durable and sturdy. You can even adjust the height of the pedals so that they can touch the ground to provide additional support. One thing I don't like is that the materials are made of plastic, while some components could have gone metal that can further provide resistance for damage by your feet.

completes the Yamaha YPG-635

Perfect fit and very easy to install. It makes the keyboard more stable. Looks very nice and works really well. The bad part was the short cable connecting the pedal to the main unit. It can connect just fine but if you wanted to make it more discrete and hide the cable neatly behind the frame, you would need a slightly longer cable. Overall, its a nice accessory that would complete the Yamaha piano.

No more chasing a pedal across the floor

Jul 17, 2010

This LP-7A 3-Pedal Unit is indispensable, especially if you grew up with a standard piano. I became increasingly irritated with the wired floor pedal and scooted under my foot and whose only function was sustaining sound. This 3-function pedal unit is easy to install, a pleasure to use and little to pay for the full piano experience.
