Amazing headphones on a budget

Feb 19, 2019

I bought two pairs of these for recording and couldn't be happier with the quality. The sound is great, not exactly flat but not too coloured either. The build quality is excellent - I've been using them for a couple of years now, dropping them, running over with a chair, putting on/taking off - they still look brand new.

Good God, What do you want?

Feb 15, 2019

I put these up against my Sony Pro studio phones. Result: The Sony is a little more efficient, more comfortable, and the timbre with definition is better. How much better is the issue. The Superlux is good enough is the answer. Would I suggest mixing for accuracy in the studio? No, but you could. Low mid high, it's all there. Comfortable enough to do the job. The non-coiled cord is a benefit as it doesn't get tangled and the effective length is t... Show More

Great if you're on a budget

Dec 5, 2018

If you want a pair of closed back headphones that are relatively flat and you're on a budget, then these are probably for you. I use them in my studio for tracking everything, including drums, and they are great for that because they fill almost all the boxes for that use. They got good isolation, can get quite loud, the sound isn't too colored so you can hear what you're playing, and all that while being cheap so you don't have to worry too mu... Show More

Poor man's AKG K271

Apr 11, 2018

I bought these because I had to make some drum overdubs. I expected nothing too special, something like a 30¤ pair of cans. Well, I was wrong. As I first touched these headphones I noticed they were more solid than I thought. Then I plugged the cable in my interface, just to see everything worked, and I've got to say I was totally surprised. I'm not gonna tell you these are the best cans you can buy because they're not. But I don't think I ever s... Show More

For sound engineers

Mar 26, 2018

As others have mentioned before, those are no good for entertainment purposes. There is no boost in bass as ordinary headphones usually have. Also, I am not able to wear them more than two hours straight without making a break and letting my ears soothe a bit. I find all this OK because I was specially looking for headphones that are meant for careful audio listening as close to reality as possible and offer maximum insulation. These deliver. I actually wish they had been even tighter.

Very good for the price, not the headphones to mix with.

Feb 13, 2018

We bought these out of curiosity and very good reviews, to be used as monitoring while recording drums. Packaging is spartan but adequate. They do look kind of unpolished at the close inspection, but famed Akg headphones look too if you ask me. Once in hand, they feel like they are built decently and designed smart, and will last much longer than the price suggests. They give decent isolation, but not perfect, definitely workable. I bought these headphones for use in my home studio and for the money they are great quality. The sound is very good as they cover the whole ear and they are ok to wear for long listening sessions. The build quality is not bad and they also come with a bag / cover. Overalll these are good value for money and ideal if you want an entry level set of studio headphones

inexpensive and high quality

I bought these headphones to have an extra set for recording. I have found that their quality is fantastic and can be used for mixing or testing track quality. For thirty euro it is an absolute bargain and I will buy another set for bigger recording sessions.

perfect on-a-budget headphones

Mar 24, 2017

These are very confortable, no disconfort or pain, they fit perfectly and the cable length is enough for moving around (if you're recording, this is a must). They do mask the sound a bit, mainly the low end gets very boomy, so this is not for mixing. Use them for easy listening or gaming, they're fine. A little bit bulky to outdoor use. Considering the price, these turn out to be one of the best deals I've come across.

Excelente relação preço/qualidade

Feb 16, 2017

Show More

Great sound with an uncomfortable usage

Nov 25, 2016

I am using these headphones as a secondary unit for mixing, along with my monitors. I am happy with them and sound quality is much higher than I expected. Although the sound quality is very nice, it does not look very sturdy. I have been using them for months but I am not sure if I could keep them still in case I were not a careful user. The product is not very comfortable and sometimes I suffer from head or neck ache after a few hours ... Show More

Great value!

Aug 20, 2016

I use these for tracking sessions in my studio. They sound amazing for the price. Not nearly as good as more expensive models from Sennheiser or AKG but incredible value for money. They are not something I would use for mixing or hifi listening but great for tracking sessions in the studio. They are pretty comfortable but do feel a little plasticky when wearing them for a long time. The cable seems a little fragile. I don't think they will l... Show More

Love these headphones.

Aug 15, 2016

This is my 3rd pair of these as my girlfriend stole the spare set i had. The sound out of these things are incredible for what you spend on them. Very comfortable and the closed back means the shut out a lot of the outside ambience. They pretty much cover the full frequency band 10hz-30khz which again for the price is unbeatable. I use these for tracking instruments and they can handle some mixing dutys too. Would i recomend these? Yes i would get a set. I ordered these alongside a guitar about a month ago delivery from Germany to the UK was very fast.

Great quality on a budget

Jul 24, 2016

I needed some closed back headphones for tracking and these do isolate very well. They also seem reasonably flat, I might use them for mixing too. The build quality seems good, nothing feels cheap. They are comfortable to use for extended periods of time, though during the summer it can get a bit hot.

Amazing cans for very little cash

Feb 26, 2016

I love these headphones. So much so that I've purchased a few pairs, just in case a pair ever breaks and I can't get them from anywhere any more. That said, I've been using my first set on a daily basis, as well as for rehearsals and gigs, for quite some years now and haven't had a problem with them yet. The sound quality is brilliant - crisp trebles, nice mids and just the right amount of bass - they're super comfy (I wear them for 4 or 5 hour... Show More

Sounds great and has a lot of detail. Blocks outside noise very well. Can get quite sweaty. The leather (-ish material?) which covers the padding has cracked after 2 years of heavy use. The soft strap over the head is also starting to crack. I use them in studio as well as for everyday media consumption and gaming, and I am very happy with them. If they would break, I would probably just get another pair, or something similar from Superlux.

A good product

Jul 21, 2015

At this price point there is not much you can offer with studio headphones but the Superlux HD-662 F does a decent enough of a job. They offer pretty balanced sound and a tight but full low-end. I believe the F model in the HD-662 series is the most flat when it comes to frequency response so it can be helpful doing some mixing with these but don't rely to them only, have a pair of monitor speakers too for mixing.
