Drive Pools are Awesome with SSDs
I wanted to get away from mechanical storage and as a video editor and Plex server lover, I wanted two 4TB SSDs which are $450 a piece. However, Instead of two 4TB SSDs, I got four 2TB SSDs and added them to a stablebit drive pool to represent one 8TB drive. I have a mechanical drive hooked up to my router for backup so as long as you're doing a simple storage setup with no parity, speeds are amazing. When buying the 2TB drive at $199, I ended up saving $180 and getting the same amount of storage. Plus my Evolv Enthoo X has room for tons of SSDs so it all works out.

Fast drive, perfect for my use
These are not the newest technology, which is fine because they're not trying to be marketed that way, but they're FAST. I bought this for my main media drive, and will be buying 2 more to RAID together in order to have a fast drive without buying an expensive RAID setup. 3 of these will be 6TB, which is a decent sized RAID for what I'm doing. If I run out of space, I'll simply move older projects to another drive. SSD prices have come down, and it's now feasible to get 3 of these and RAID them together for a lower cost RAID alternative. I'm really happy with my purchase.

Samsung SSD's are the best
My PC is finally all SSD, no more hard drives. I love these Samsung SSD's. I have several and never had an issue with them. Super fast. They work great with Windows 10.

Uses QLC memory - run away
QLC memory is the slowest, shortest lasting type of SSD memory made. It's purpose was to make SSDs cheaper than those using superior TLC memory, but the price of TLC has fallen so that QLC drives don't make economic sense except in SSDs 2TB and larger. Currently the samsung 1TB 860 EVO using TLC is selling for the same price as this 1TB 860 QVO, The 860 EVO is much faster, has two more years warranty, and has a rated lifespan nearly twice as long. The 860 QVO would have to sell for at least 20% less than the 860 EVO to be worth buying

Samsung means high quality
Works as advertised. I really like Samsung products, since they always work great right out of the box. After dozens of purchases, I have yet to return a phone, a TV, a computer component or anything made by Samsung. Thanks for great products!

Great value!!!
Great price for quite nice 1TB SSD. You do not need an extra bracket to install into your case. I attached with four screws provided by my new Cooler Master case, on back of the case. Very easy to install.

Best bang for your money
Shipping was very quick, ample storage and for the price it's an awesome deal.Came in simple packaging, no frills. Installing W10 went very smooth. I have been using it for past few weeks and so far so good, only time will tell if this was a good investment or not. This is my first Samsung SSD, hoping for the best. Previously I was rocking Kingston and Crucial SSDs with 0 issues for last 5-6 years.

Astonishing boot time improvement
I bought a transfer cable and downloaded a transfer program to mirror the outgoing HDD to the incoming SSD. I found a Youtube video to show me how to get to the hard drive and remove it. A second purchase was an adapter bracket to install a 2.5 drive in a 3.5 bay. S-L-O-W write speeds
For one of my regular clients, I always make my own pocket fard drives for their copy of the shoot (which is around 600-750GB per week long shoot). I buy my own SSD and drive enclosure to save money. A good choice for a data disk
The OS/boot disk is a 970 EVO M.2 solid-state disk. The data disk was a relatively slow 7200 RPM HDD that just was too slow to go alongside the much faster boot disk. The solution was to add an SSD in place of the HDD. The data loads much faster than the old HDD which speeds up the workflow of image processing. The only problem is that this SDD is less than half the speed of the OS/Boot disk. Overall the computer is more efficient in time and energy usage.

my 1st QVO and the last due to the design - frankly I messed up and clicked the wrong product - thought - wow that was a good price for an EVO (Oops - was looking for the 860 EVO) - got tons of them and no issues with hard RAID usage.

Large data for low price.
That the SSD was cost efficient is to say the least. I just expanded my primary drive and secondary drive both to 1 TB. I will not have space concerns for a very long time! Thank you B and H Photo!

Great Replacement Drive....
I use this drive to mirror older drives, and make this the primary drive. I have done this to most of my clients, it will speed up a older machine and save the client the cost of a new machine, and having to migrate back into a network, software, etc.... long run.... saves money

Best deal on the net for a 1TB 2.5 Internal SSD
The Samsung 1TB 860 QVO SATA III 2.5 Internal SSD nearly doubled my speed. An outstanding buy. I am now considering get a Samsung 2 TB from B & H for my desktop.
