It really works!

Dec 20, 2018

Like others, I was skeptical, but I read the reviews from church and school A/V leaders who said this picks up the spoken word just as well as any other microphone, and they were correct. I help with the A/V department at my church, and we ordered a couple of these, and they work just fine. I dont know how long it will last, but at the price, it can be easily replaced many times over vs. the cost of an expensive headworn mic.

Good value for the money

We use these for the kids musicals and they work great. We've even used these for speakers and it works for most speakers. For most ears, it will be hard to tell the difference between these and some more expensive microphones.

Amazing bang for the buck!

This mic has a smaller cartridge than the single-hook Pyles, and a clearer and a little warmer sound. Pyle also upgraded the strain-relief in the connector. I just finished a student musical with 18 of these and no failures. If you cannot afford Countryman, these are a viable alternative.

Great product

Feb 3, 2018

As the audio tech for our church, I bought this mic to replace an aging and fraying Countryman over-the-ear mic. We've had it for only two weeks and so far no problems. No more taping the mic to the face of the pastor and fighting to shape the ear holder. The headpiece fits well and stays in place, and the mic sounds just as good as the old mic. Note that this mic puts out a stronger signal into the Shure SLX1 body pack transmitter and the receiv... Show More

Unbelievable product

Jan 31, 2017

We have many different persons using our microphones and they take a beating. Used a countryman before great product but not so great product. I am no sound expert but these little mikes offer similar response and sound. Bought four and use them extensively

A very good mic

Jul 19, 2016

I'm using the PMHMS20 mic in an outdoor theatre production. We perform in the middle of a market square -- surrounded by al fresco dining and loud patrons. The mic does a great job of picking up the actor but not the noisy ambience of the area. It also does a pretty good job of picking up other actors within two feet of the mic. My only complaint is the position of the mic. The picture of the mic is upside down. The mic itself is actually on the ... Show More

Highly Impressed

Apr 1, 2016

We needed a head-worn microphone for our church services but had a limited budget. I was hesitant about this microphone at first d to its really low cost in comparison to some other brands, but decided to try it anyway. Another selling point was the beige color that makes it less obtrusive. I wired a small adapter to change the connector pin out to match the EV body pack wireless transmitter we had. This microphone works great and we have been us... Show More

Don't let the price fool you!

Dec 5, 2014

Okay, so I was worried because they were SO inexpensive. But, they work like a champ! I teach HS, my musical theatre class was in desperate need of new mics and these fit the bill. The wires are a little flimsy, but the sound is great. Just remind your kids to be gentle with them, and if they aren't, well it's not going to break the bank to replace them... right?

Great mic for stage play

Dec 3, 2014

Needed a few more headworn mics for a local church sponsored play. Since we are on a tight budget I decided to give this mic a try. I love the result. I ordered six on Tuesday and they were delivered (free shipping) by Thursday. When I tried them on our actors I could tell very little difference when compared to our very expensive headworn mics. I would recommend this mic for any application needing minimal visibility and good voice quality. Only negative is a lack of size adjustment for larger (or smaller) heads but that has not been a big issue for our cast.

Unbeatable value

Nov 22, 2014

We went through 3 countryman mics over the past 6 years or so and when the last one broke after only a few months I decided to try a less expensive option for our Pastor's mic. So far I'm very impressed with this mic and can't believe we spent so much when we really didn't have to. I tried one of these and when I heard the results I immediately ordered 3 more as back ups. I don't expect them to last for 6 years but at this price who cares.

Good Product in Good Price

Nov 12, 2014

We use this for a weekly basis event. No complain to the performance & quality. The product is so thin and lite weighted, if you pull the wire a little harder, it might break. But who care, since the price is low, we can have few spares without hesitation.Over all, this is a fairly good products.
