The best negative/transparency holders

Feb 3, 2011

Print file has always come through for me with the best storage pages. The cheaper brands will cause the emulsions on negatives and prints to stick to the plastic, which can leave spots and dust on your stuff. Print file is a thicker plastic and very sturdy, so it holds up to wear in tear in a binder, and the plastic doesn't stick to your prints or negatives. Before you think about saving a couple of bucks with a cheaper brand you should definitely check out the Print File line.

Very helpful

Sep 17, 2014

I use this to store my 4x5 negatives for my photography class and it's very useful to keep them in safe storage. The sleeves keep my negatives clean and safe, and the plastic is still relatively easy to scan the negatives with. There have been some issues with scanning for others with the plastic, but usually easily fixable. Price was great!

There is no other

All the sizes in this series are the go-too solution for negative storage. Honestly, I don't know of any others. I use 135, 120/220 and 4x5 sizes. They are easy to load. Protect your film. Have plenty of space to marking whatever you need for organizing a large number of them in binders. Indestructible.

Large Format neg Storage

Mar 21, 2015

I use these 4x5 negative pages in conjunction with 3 ring binders to store my work. I like the fact that bracketed images and similars can be store together and viewed quickly. Sometimes I find it hard to load a negative in for the first time. The opening doesn't separate all that easily.

Durable, clean, safe

Love these binders. This is my 3rd one. My only complaint is the location of the rings. This binder has them located on the spine, which forces them to move during closure. My previous binders have them on the part that sits flat on the table and never shifts. Small complaint.

Great pages

I use these pages in a negative binder to store all of my negatives chronologically. They fit in seamlessly with the pages that hold my other size negatives. These pages are durable and easy to use. Hopefully they protect well for years to come.

Great for storage and organization

Nov 9, 2015

These are getting hard to find but are very useful for organization and even contact printing. I like that these can be put in a binder along with test prints for reference. I prefer this to individual sleeves. Can be written on with a sharpie.

Always great quality

Feb 27, 2011

I have always used Print File archival storage pages for all of my negatives. From 35mm to 120 and now 4x5, I will continue to buy their products. Would like to see 4x5 pages that hold a contact sheet as well, however.

Great quality

I really like this brand of negative sleeves, although I wish that they carried 4x5 negative sleeves with the contact sheet pocket in front of the negative like they make for 35mm in order to save space.

This is used to store my negatives and I have used these in other sizes ( 35mm and medium format) but I needed these because I bought a view camera 4x5 and I will need these now.

Simple and Affordable

These are great, simple and cheap. Contact printing is a breeze. I only wish there was a tiny bit more room in each pocket to allow for easier loading of negatives into sleeves.

This is exactly what it is marketed to be, useful for anyone printing their own 4x5s. I don't know any other way someone would want to preserve their negatives.
