Speed up the computer but makes it hot
I just upgraded my computer ( MacBook Pro early 2011). The original memory is 4 GB and I upgraded it to 16 GB (8GB*2), which is the biggest internal memory chip that fits my computer. The computer runs much faster. However, I can feel the computer warmed up after 10 minutes and I have to let it take a break after 2 hours on, with concern of burning.

Give your older iMac a boost!
Have been waiting for Apple to update it's current iMac model which is heading to 2 years without a substantial update. Rather than buying old new workstations - I gave some of our older ones a real boost with maxed RAM and upgrade to SSD's. Speed and stability greatly improved with the combined upgrades.

Excellent.
Excellent. Increased the speed of my Macbook Pro early 2011 model 8.1 beyond what I hoped for.
