Needed a new AM4 motherboard for Ryzen

Apr 4, 2019

Searched on line for a replacement motherboard for my very old system (2006) Found this one at a very good price that also had USB 3.0 port. Have installed Sapphire Radeon RX580 video card, and wow, is it fast, and I havent even OCed it yet. I have always had very good luck with MSI, and I have to say they still rock!

Good Mobo

Mar 22, 2019

1st pc build, great mobo to compliment a Ryzen 2700x, Evga Rtx 2080 Gaming XC, Samsung 970 Evo 1TB, 32gb Corsair 3333Mhz and much more. Bios isnt has user friendly as I would like but once you fiddle around its pretty straight forward and easy to adjust and over-clock. Looking to upgrade to the M7 Mobo with higher frequency RAM support and a new Ryzen 9 :)

Bios Different

Feb 14, 2019

This is the first time I have a MSI branded card. The board is more detailed, richer in robust details. But I found the bios a bit complicated, messy. With options that were not found. She gave a job to run corsair memory 3000Mhz. Before blue screen errors at startup, now its normal thank god. I have always been a user of the Asus brand, but the motherboard I found a bit simple compared to MSI. The bios of Asus has always been very easy and logical to handle. Note 9 for MSI = Plate Note 7 for Aus = Bios

Using about 5 weeks, the GOOD PART and other parts.

The is a rewrite of an earlier review. The worst thing now is the missing screw that holds the second M.2 memory in place. This screw for the first M.2 was installed on the MB. With theremoval of all files on theBoot drive and new install of Windows 10 this MB and CPU is very fast. Boot is fast, older HDD access is even a little faster. Searches of large HDD is faster. It is amazing how a nonregistered windows 10 from a different computer can ... Show More

I bought the MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon AM4 ATX Motherboard to replace a 4 year only MB & CPU that failed, it is probably the old MD the actually failed. I installed Samsung 512GB 970 PRO NVMe M.2 Internal SSD, AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHz Eight-Core AM4 Processor, Crucial 16GB Ballistix Elite Series DDR4 3466 MHz UDIMM Memory Module Kit (2 x 8GB), msi ARMOR GEFORCE GTX 1060, Corsair TX 650 power supply. The old boot 250GB SSD booted and I used SA... Show More

Liking it so far

Nov 14, 2018

Nothing to complain about so far. I had to take off the RGB lights above the case port section of the motherboard to fit it under my case fan. Taking the light off was quite easy. I used the XMP feature to overclock my RAM to 2800mhz. It worked without any hassle which is a big win. +1 for MSI!

Sleek, Speedy, and Silver

Aug 15, 2018

Motherboard came perfectly packaged with no damage. It has been completely functional so far and lives up to its ratings, allowing a PC composed of beastly parts to perform at its best. Fits in well with my silver-themed build. Wonderful product!
