Great motherboard for newest Ryzen chips.

Sep 9, 2019

MPG X570 Gaming Plus will work with the latest Ryzen (3000) chips right out of the box. I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 3600 with it. Since the board is X570, there is no need to update the BIOS to run the newest chips which you most likely would need to do on an X470 board. Using 16GB of ram (2x8GB) of 3200 DDR4 in XMP mode (selected from within the BIOS). The motherboard comes with a headsink for the 1st M.2 module slot (it has two slots) but y... Show More

Mid Range Gaming Motherboard

Dec 16, 2019

Before I start, my rig: Ryzen 5 3600 GTX 1660 Samsung 1 TB SDD WD Blue 1 TB SDD Corsair 16 (8*2) 3200 MHz RAM 600W PSU The Gaming Plus is a good motherboard for the mid range price and performance I was going for. It was quite easy to update, as well as overclock my cpu, at least for someone who was new to overclocking. The number of ports it offers and the positions are nice, but the installation is a bit tuff. The cpu power header is located i... Show More

Excellent MOBO

Aug 22, 2019

This thing is such a good bang for your buck. Does everything as advertised with 0 issues out of the box. I am running it with a Ryzen 3600 CPU and 32 GB of Gskill Trident 3200 RAM. This board is listed as only up to 2600 ram speed but that is only in Jedec mode. This thing can truley run up to 4400 speed RAM in XMP without downclocking it. It's listed in the manual this way and also on a lot of other sites they don't even mention the 2600 speed Jedec cap. Don't be scared off by the wording. Look it up for yourself. This thing is worth it.

Minor upgrade from X470 motherboard

Nov 4, 2019

Unless PCIe 4 components are used (GPU and one M.2 SSD), performance compared to X470 generation motherboards is mostly unchanged. The only real cons are slower POST time and and higher cost. Upgrades to BIOS are improving POST time, but still slower than X470 motherboard. Installation was easy and the motherboard runs fine in Windows 10 1903.

Don't expect any rebate

Jan 20, 2020

Purchased this in November for a new build. Was supposed to get a $10 rebate. Still waiting and not hopeful. Earbuds plugged into the front case auxillary jack is extremely low volume. Can't blame motherboard because could be case connection.

Good for me!

Jan 20, 2020

I'm not a gamer. I bought this mobo because it was recommended to me for the AMD Ryzen 7 CPU. It's working fine to my knowledge, so I'm happy.
