Great Product

Jul 27, 2011

Overall, the mouse has a nice solid feel to it. Side buttons are a tad springy but have a satisfying click. The scrollwheel is very responsive, but it will take a little getting used to since I switched over from a Microsoft mouse that had a smooth-scroll tilt wheel. I miss the smooth scrolling, but the center button and horizontal scrolling buttons in the M510's wheel are much easier to use and have a very satisfying click to them. The only real... Show More

Excellent wireless mouse.

Nov 10, 2017

This wireless mouse has a good feel to it. The left and right clicks are solid. It has a scroll wheel that has a positive feel to it. It also doubles with a scroll left and right functionality (but the applications where this can be used are sparse). It has two buttons on the left side, which are activated by your thumb. I use these buttons frequently. I would not want a mouse without them. They allow you to go forward and back, when using your w... Show More

Solid Performing Wireless Mouse

Jun 24, 2015

I have been seeking a fully-featured wireless mouse for the past two weeks and have finally found my optimum choice in the Logitech Wireless Mouse M510. The attributes I sought out included the following: 1) Full-size and ergonomic shape. I have fairly large hands, so most notebook mice cannot provide a sufficiently comfortable experience for long periods of usage time. 2) High battery endurance. I prefer a wireless mouse that minimizes battery r... Show More

Great mouse but could be better

Feb 5, 2013

This is a solid mouse. It's easy to use and had more features than a standard mouse. I wanted a mouse with side scrolling and thumb navigation buttons without a hefty price. The Logitech M510 was a perfect choice. There are only two very minor grips with the mouse. The clicks are pretty loud, so don't plan to be discretely playing WoW during a business meeting or in the library. The other gripe I have is that the scroll cannot be set to a smooth ... Show More

great mouse but may cause apple crashes

prior to the release of the newest mac mini i purchased a late 2012, added a M510 mouse and 16 gig of Crucial ram. that is when the kernel panic crashes began. after 4 chat sessions and 5 visits to the @, including overnight testing, after swapping the apple ram back in, replacing the Crucial ram, it was determined that this mouse was the cause of all the problems. i have been using an apple mouse for 3 weeks without another kernel panic crash. a... Great Mouse!

Sep 2, 2014

Ordered this to replace older Logitech wireless mouse that had a docking station for recharging. That mouse lasted over 10 years I think. Logitech makes great, well, everything. The M510 has been awesome. Did away with the whole old school recharging/docking station. Everything is much neater. Mouse is very accurate. Full size computer is on the ground below the mouse to the left of it, I'd say maybe 4' away horizontally and 2' below vertically. ... Show More

Easy, good feeling mouse for big hands

I have too many cords as it is so I decided to bite the bullet and get a wireless mouse. I've used this brands before and was not dissappointed and I wasn't dissappointed with this one either. I hanve bif hands and was happy it fit my hands well. Its responsivness is good even on a white terrycloth towel I have in my table. This wireless mouse is great for frequent use. I use a desktop PC for personal and work, and get a lot of mouse distance using 2 monitors and lots of programs at once. + No trouble tracking at all on desk surface. +/- Ergonomic feel. I'm right-handed; left-handed users may have trouble with the left-side forward back thumb buttons. + Right/left mouse buttons and scroll wheel function as they should + Thumb forward/back buttons and left/right scro... Great bang for your buck

Dec 27, 2015

This is a great wireless mouse for less than $ bucks. I mostly use it for general desktop applications. no gaming whatsoever so far. I use it on my Macbook Pro computer and have had no issues with it. I still need to figure out how to configure the side buttons on it as they seem to not recognize the 'previous' and 'next' presets that I assume would work well with Windows. Other than that, the material is OK, it looks and feels nice. However, may... Show More

Works like a charm; buy it, buy two

Aug 14, 2013

I own two M510's. I use a laptop as my main, and only computer. One M510 stays at my desk; the other is always in my laptop carry bag (so I can't forget to take it). A single Unifying Receiver is always plugged into my laptop, and a spare (only because the second M510 came with one and I didn't need it for my application) is carried inside the M510 (in the M510's battery compartment) in my laptop bag. The Unifying Receiver subset of Logitech's SetPoint software makes it easy to assign both mice to the same receiver. Ergonomics, design, and operation of the M510 are excellent.

Great low cost mouse

Sep 18, 2016

I had a small logitec mouse that I really like, but I decided that I needed a full size mouse and use the small for travels. This fits perfectly. This mouse feels very comfortable on my hands, it also has back and forward buttons on the left side that are very accessible to the thumb. The wheel is not as smooth as my old small mouse, I like to scroll very fast when navigating on websites with long pages or long documents, but the wheel on this one does not allow this, it is more 'sticky' when scrolling. Overall, this is a great mouse for its price.

Comfortable Mouse

Apr 16, 2011

I have an iMac, and the software on Logitech's website is compatible with OS X. My favorite feature is being able to use the wheel button to open all windows in expose This is extremely comfortable and ergonomic. It's much better than the magic mouse that came with my computer (that thing is more like a work of art than anything). I like the fact that it is a full-size mouse. A lot of the Logitech mice out there are much smaller and more meant for portability. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to replace/upgrade their mouse!

Cutting the Mouse Cord

Oct 20, 2014

This wireless mouse is plug and play, and it feels good to hold. Extra buttons allow me to navigate forward and backward in a browser. Most importantly, I'm no longer snagging a mouse cable on the mess of software boxes and magazines on a shelf under the desk. Batteries were included. The most difficult thing about the instalation was opening the hard plastic sealed box. A pair of sharp scissors is necessary. When will online retailers realize that such bulletproof packaging is unnecessary unless there's a way to shoplift virtually?

3 Weeks

May 16, 2017

My older Logitech mouse is still working after 6 or 7 years, and rarely needed new batteries. This one lasted about 3 weeks before it started acting up and then quit altogether. At first I thought it was the receiver or the USB port on my new laptop. Trying a different port didn't help so I tried a different computer. Same problems. Finally I tried the receiver with my old mouse and it works fine. This would be a great mouse if it worked. Feels good in the hand. Not too big or small. I expected more out of a Logitech product.

Worth the money.

Jan 11, 2018

The mouse is light weight and compact. The receiver/transmitter that plugs to the laptop is very small and discrete. When unplugged it fits in the back of the mouse itself. Good for travelling. It is responsive when using, the short cut keys on the mouse to back or forward work well. The scroll will is good and works as it should. The design is comfortable, with the sides having rubber grips. It is worth the money. Now lets see how long the battery last, but with a switch at the back, it may last very long.

I Regret This Purchase

Sep 23, 2018

It works (sort of) with my late-2013 MacBook Pro Retina, but it is fussy about the surface it's on. Doesn't work on a black mousepad, for instance, but usually does OK on my T-shirt (I write in bed in the mornings). My last Logitech wireless mouse worked flawlessly on any surface until it eventually died. Go figure. I'll eventually buy (and recommend) one of their better models instead. For now I'm getting by with this. Spend more, get better!

Poor Tracking and Heavy with 2 AA

Jun 12, 2015

This is the first wireless mouse I have experienced with tracking accuracy. It just does not follow well on a variety of surfaces. Heavy with the double AA batteries causing hand to get tired quickly. Grip is good except those 2 side buttons are loose and can hear plastic bouncing sound whenever you move. Don't waste your time and money on this one. Go with the M310 for lightweight, accurate tracking and perfect grip.

Should have purchased this years ago!

Apr 26, 2016

I have always preferred to use a mouse, but was never convinced that a Wireless Mouse would work for me. I finally decided to go wireless and all I can say is, I should have purchased this item years ago! It worked correctly right out of the box. The ergonomic design and laser tracking is excellent. The price was right and overall I am extremely satisfied with my purchase! I would buy this product again and again.

I like the forward and back buttons on the side for your thumb as well as the size of the mouse this is not a small mouse which is a good thing because I have large hands and it fits comfortably in my hand.

Buggy - Buy a Better One

Jul 7, 2018

I bought two of these for use with my 15.4" MacBook Pro Retina. The mouse *does not work* on a standard black mousepad. Works most of the time on my T-shirt when I'm lying in bed with my laptop on my chest, but not always. I've never had a Logitech product that didn't work well before. I'll search for another higher-end USB dongle-based wireless mouse. This one just doesn't offer the consistency I need.

Great ergonomics and the best price.

Jan 23, 2017

No issues with plug and play connection from the time I took it, and the new computer, out of the boxes. Smooth movement on every surface I've used it on. The lateral movement of the scroll wheel to move web pages left and right, and the thumb buttons that allow you to go back and forth on internet pages are way more useful than I ever assumed once I got used to them. Great product, would recommend.

I have two of these as well as a keyboard. Use one mouse on laptop and other mouse as well as keyboard on desktop. On desktop, both devices share same tiny usb dongle. You can;t beat that. I would recommend this solution to anyone wanting to go wireless. I bought Logitech because the first one has worked flawlessly for several years plus. I bought from B & H because ..... Jun 10, 2011

I purchased this mouse the first time about nine months ago for my new laptop and found that it was so accurate and reliable that I used it to replace my mouse on my desktop and finally bought another to go with my laptop. Battery life has been outstanding and the micro USB is unobtrusive. The two side buttons allow for easy web navigation. It is the best mouse I have ever used.

Mighty Mouse! :)

Jun 9, 2014

We bought two of these to replace lousy old Microsoft mice that had the nasty habit of the cursor failing to follow mouse movements and then suddenly jumping. I'm very happy with this Logitech. Fits the hand great, works on any surface, and is accurate. Can't ask for anything more, and as usual B&H was super in fulfilling and getting us the order in two days at no charge.
