Fiio X5-II

Oct 18, 2015

I bought this product to replace my Apple iPod with a FLAC/lossless-compatible portable media device. I listen to the Fiio X5-II through my stereo or paired with the Fiio E12A Mont Blanc portable headphone amplifier (itself paired with either Sennheiser HD 598 headphones or Sony MDR 7506 headphones). I found the Line Out port to be a very convenient means to connect to my home stereo. Overall, I am very satisfied with the Fiio X5-II. It sounds gr... Show More

My music library, on me, all the time = awesome

Oct 7, 2015

I've been an ipod classic person for forever, but the 180GB cap has been an issue. I am an audio engineer and I have a lot of music. My old ipod classic has finally died and are no longer made anymore so I looked for other options. I was very pleased to find the Fiio X5. The main things that I love about this product are up to 256 GB of music...that's incredible. Can import my old itunes library without having to go through and re-organize my ent... Show More

I love music, but audiobooks are also a significant portion of m... Show More

Beautiful music player, some slight interface issues.

Aug 17, 2015

I bought X5 because I would get a static hiss with my Shure 535's and my cell phone. Just not the greatest amps in cell phones. That is where is excels. Quality of the amps, and power output. There is no his at low volume or when music has areas of silence. Higher power output works great for powering larger headphones, but more importantly driving crisp base without clipping. The difference between a modern 48khz/16bit 192k mp3 file on my cell p... Show More

No need to recreate digital music! Unlimited expansion!

Aug 10, 2015

I got the X5 2nd Gen as an alternative to an iPod. I love the option to play Apple Lossless format files (no need to redo my digital library!). It understands the music file attributes and is able to organize music by artist, album, music type. Also it reads read directly through folders. I can replace the music by just changing the micro SD (no need to have a computer to re-sync). Simple interface. So simple that I feel that I'm missing somethin... Show More
