solid starter mic

Jul 9, 2010

I am an audio novice who needed a kit quickly to start field recording for a story. I asked all of my less novice friends who recommended this as a great starter mic - and they were right. Good weight, great, full sound, and with windscreen have not had any problems with noise or distortion in the field. Would definitely recommend for someone who needs pro-quality recordings but is starting out quickly and/or cheaply.

It's OK - TOO NOISY

A handheld when handling with your hands on the microphone and wires, will make too much noise. It shouldn't make any noise at all from touching the wire or handle, it should bring in noise only from the actual microphone on top of the microphone.... It's only worth $50 at best!

Does the job just about right...

It works well but when you're holding the microphone you get sound back because the microphone is super sensitive from the handle of the microphone to the wires... you touch the wire it will generate sound.... very bad, but for the price its decent.
