Outstanding Flash Bracket
When I got this bracket I was very impressed with the quality and the strength yet light weight. I removed the extension part of the flash bracket and mounted my SB-910 to the main bracket for use over my Sigma 150-600(s). Test shots are perfect, no steel eye in the birds! Is not a universal fit...
This absolutely has the height you need above lens axis. Its plenty sturdy as well. What is lacks is adjustment in the clamping mechanism to it securely attach to the gimbal heads upright post tightly. On my gimbal its a bit loose. And can still be used but you don't have the vertical adjust you would of this fit correctly.

Works well mounted to gimbal or lens foot
Works well. I have mounted to gimbal and also directly to lens foot when hand holding. Only suggestion for improvement is to enable the plates on top of bracket to slide more to provide a flash bracket anti-twist as opposed to forcing you to buy an accessory.
