Better than an L bracket
I was going to by an L Bracket for my Canon 5D when a knowledgeable friend pointed my toward this item. I gave up something matched to my camera for something that will work with any camera I have or get in the future. I also like the fact that you do not have to remove anything from the tripod to switch from horizontal to vertical. I use this with the QRA-C kit as I use the A-S quick release system. One more comment. As with all Custom Brackets products, it is made with real quality. It does not get any better.

Works as advertised
GOOD: Perfect mounted on a monopod or tripod. With the QRM-C Manfrotto 3157N Style Camera Quick Release Kit, this can be used with existing Manfrotto heads. Keeps the camera centered over the monopod/tripod when switching between landscape and portrait orientation. BAD: The mount adds bulk for those using a grip. The bracket may also make access to the zoom ring awkward. The QRM-C attachment is not a quick-release pull-pin... you need to unscrew to release the camera body. SUMMARY: Expensive, but it does exactly what it is intended to do.
