Great lens!
Using with 7D mark ii, tack sharp pics at all lengths. Bought this lens as a walk around lens, it has not dissapointed. Responsive, no problems tracking. The only knock is that you have to buy the lens hood seperately, it should come with the lens. Other than that extremely happy with this lens!

I love this lens.
I am a retired photojournalist called back into duty on a part time basis. I cover sports including softball, baseball, football on high school and college levels. This lens exceeds all my expectations. It focuses quickly and accurately and is a bargain at it's price. I couldn't be happier.

Great Lens
I had the other 55-250 without the STM, what a huge difference this lens makes.... Pictures are crystal clear and I have no complaints whatsoever about it.... there is no down side to this lens... I shoot wildlife and Surfers and I use a Canon 7d Mark II and this photos come out fantastic.

GREAT LENS from CANON
Bought this lens about three months ago to go with my 70D DSLR . Love the crop factor making it a 400mm. You won't be disappointment. Great sturdy housing. B&H had the perfect price at the time as well. The STM feature works well with wild life photography. No problems what so ever.

Great image quality on an entry level lense
Puchased this for my daughter instead of the 85/300 as it had much better reviews here and other forums. I was impressed with the image quality. A little disconerting, being an STM lense, was that you cannot focus it unless camera is turned on. Once I knew that no worries!

Perfect for the non photographer!
My husband really isn't into photography but he thinks this lens is perfect for his needs, giving him nice clear pictures with little effort on his part. I attached this lens to our T3i and it gives him a nice reliable camera and no nonsense lens for his few photographs.

Excellent Additional Lens
I bought this telephoto lens as an additional lens for my Canon EOS Rebel T5i that I purchased with the kit lens EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM. This is a very nice addition to my photography set up. It allows me to take some spectacular distance and panorama photos.

Trying out new lenses.
I bought this to get a bit more camera time with my Rebel T3I outside of the normal lens that comes with the kit. I wanted something that I can use to focus on far away objects to take pictures from greater distances. Havent taken many photos but I like the lens.

GREAT LENS on the SL1
Clear, sharp, fast and accurate focusing. I own an L zoom lens and I am just as pleased with the quality of this lens. You get a lot for the money with this zoom in image quality and versatility of zoom range. I own a 6d, but use this on my SL1 and love it.

Solid, Dependable Lens and SO quiet!
I got this lens just before a wedding and it performed beautifully! This is a solid lens that didn't let me down. Quick to focus, performs well, and remarkably quiet so quiet, I didn't know if the autofocus was working until I looked through the viewfinder.

EF-S 55-250mm Canon Lens
Great lens, works well. I can zoom in on people across a sports field but can still shoot the action on the sideline I'm on. I have a 18-200mm lens for another camera and I miss the lower range of it but the range of this new lens does get the job done.

Great lens
I purchased this lens just before the Manhattan kickoff classic soccer tournament - that was finally cancelled. We had a chance to have a few games. I have taken a lot of shots of our kids playing soccer and the pictures are very sharp. Very satisfied.

Great addition to camera
I bought this for a trip to Wyoming and couldn't be more satisfied. It is lightweight and has a wonderful amount of clarity. I feel like since adding this to my gear I've been able to do so much more with my camera. I couldn't recommend it more!

I use a Canon crop sensor camera, and have three lens that have me covered in 90% of the cases. I have a Sigma 17-50 f2.8 IS (OS), Canon 18-135 IS STM f3.5-5.6 (Used outdoors) ant EF-S 55-250 which is just fantastic with a range of 400mm.

Nice Lens
I purchased this lens with my Canon T5i, Very quiet focusing, sharp lens and a great value purchased with a camera body or kit keep an eye out for Canon's sales. I don't like the plastic mount no problems yet just would prefer metal.

That is the right choice
If you looking for an inexpensive zoom lens with image stabilization, very good image quality for the price and a very useful focal length range that will nicely complement most general purpose zoom lenses that is the right choice.

So far so good
I have owned the lens for two weeks now. Ths 55-250 STM doens't seem to be as fast autofocus wise as the kit 18-135. It is also a little more noisy. It is however lighter than the kit as the build seems to have more plastic.

Love this lens!
I used this lens at a convention where the subject was very far away in a pretty dark room. I was worried my pictures might come out blurry due to the lighting conditions, but they didn't thanks to great Image Stabilization.

Love, love love
I bought this lens to replace my 55-250 is lens when the diaphragm broke. I am happy that I upgraded because this lens performs very well. It's faster, quieter, and produces nice, clear photos. Highly recommend this lens.

Excellent value
The Canon 55-250mm STM lens is an excellent value. Image quality is slightly less than my 70-200mm L lens but at a third the cost it is a bargain. Also, it is somewhat smaller and lighter making it easier to carry.
