AMAZING look and sound

Brought this for myself for my bedroom It has a classic look, and is just the right size as I got the medium product. The switches and controls look and work great fitting in with the classic speaker look! I can even use it outside when gardening as it is portable which I didn’t know! The on and off botton is super cool and retro. Worth a buy if you like classic brown retro look and want something simple and practical that also connects to phone iPad etc via bllotooth when watching films.

Bush Bluetooth speaker

The short story is this is an excellent buy. I use mine connected via the Aux socket to an Akai suitcase record player The Bush speaker has adjustable treble and bass control. Using the Bluetooth connection to an android device is very simple and straightforward. I also tried an Ipad which also saw the speaker and connected easily. The sound is very good. The design of the speaker is simple with all the controls and input jack on the top plate.The built in rechargeable battery seems last well.

Great retro look, great sound

Really impressed with the look and sound quality on this speaker, nice and loud and clear. Only two slight negatives are 1) no carry handle - it is quite a size and a tad heavy so a handle would be a plus; and 2) I listen to audio books a lot and it doesn't seem to link in seamlessly with one of the apps I use - Libby. It "loses" the first few words at the beginning of a new paragraph. It is fine with other apps like Overdrive and PI music player, it seems to be app-specific just to Libby.

Amazing value, easy to set up, sounds great

Firstly, well done Argos - record quick delivery. Ordered just before lunch, was delivered mid afternoon and up & running within minutes. It's a nice, solid, retro looking speaker with a lovely old on off switch on top. I turned it on, paired it with my iPod and that was it! Great sound. Much more mellow than my old speaker. Was initially concerned that it wasn't particularly loud,, but then realised I can adjust it from my iPod which is actually much more convenient! Very happy!

Great value for money

I got this to use with my PC. It connects easily to Bluetooth and the sounds good too. Looks wise, nice design. I’d like to have seen a handle on it for ease of use, as it is wireless, so made to be moved about. I keep it in one spot mostly so it is forgivable. The speakers disconnect automatically afte 5 mins if there is nothing being played through them which slightly grates on me but I can see the advantages. It sometimes has interference which is due to other devices nearby.

Delighted with this product

Bought this for my kitchen as the DAB signal in there is no good at all. With this I can stream radio channels , Spotify etc as well as local media straight from my phone . Another absolute bonus that I was unaware of was that this has a built in lithium battery so you can take it off mains and into garden etc. Onto sound quality , it's very very good for the price , you can alter the bass and treble and it's more than loud enough for a medium sized room . Looks very nice too .

Good if it's right for you

Returned as it's a lot bigger than I thought - check the measurements first. Stylish looks though and the sound quality is good - adjustable bass and treble mean you can get a mix you like. The thick case only has an opening on the front and that makes it very directional - great if you want it to put on a shelf or in a corner and leave it there, but if you want to move around while you listen to music you'll find it's a lot quieter when you're not straight in front of it.

Retro

Looks great and has sound tone and bass dials so gives off a great sound .... it’s pretty loud also ...we like the retro on / off switch ....the whole family has had a shot of it without any hassle connecting with Bluetooth ..... it also comes with a mains cable plus a aux cable ...... the mains cable is hidden on the outside of the protection polystyrene !!! I mention this as mine spent a brief time in da bin .

Fabulous Speaker

I was getting fed up of my old bluetooth speaker dying on me so was wondering if there were any that ran off the mains and rechargeable battery. Found this gem. I love it. The sound is fabulous- with bass and treble controls and volume can be loud. Love the design and the old style switch and controls. Connected easily to bluetooth. Excellent product for the price - wasn't expecting such a good sound quality.

Retro speaker

Needed a new sound system for my workshop/ shed, Saw this one on argos website. Wasn’t really looking for a retro style one but wanted one with decent sound, for the money I’m really pleased with the quality and sound of this speaker, it connected with my iPhone 6 straight away. So now when I’m pottering around in my shed I have Spotify. Overall really good little speaker. Highly recommend

Looks good sounds great

disappointing start as the speaker developed a fault but after amazing customer service in store and the fact its easy to use,looks and sounds great I’m very impressed especially as I take it too work which is a very noisy environment but the speaker produces great clear sound quality and volume which is audioable above the noisy machinery and makes working a more pleasurable experience!!!

Good quality speaker for the price

The speaker sounds great, with a nice warm sound (not at all tinny) and the look fits well with my record player. The bluetooth and internal battery make it flexible and useful around the house. It is a bit bulky though, so a handle would have been good, as others have said. Just another note to say that the first one I received sounded fuzzy because it was faulty - not due to bad quality.

Brilliant, for what it is.

This is a great little speaker. Connects very easily and is simple to use. It's a battery-powered speaker designed for portable use, so obviously the sound is of low quality if you're used to hi-fi systems. It does have bass and treble controls, which help somewhat. It also looks really good and I love the on/off toggle switch. It produces enough volume to fill a large room.

Bush speaker poor quality

It looks nice in the catalogue but is a much cheaper finish in reality. However, the main issue is that it's far too quiet (if it's 20 watts, I'll eat my hat) and it's too bassy, not enough mid or treble sound. I was hoping for a half decent sound but it needs to be turned up really high to make any impact and it is far from crystal clear. Very poor, don't waste your money.

I bought this speaker as a gift but it didnt live up to expectations. It doesnt have any ports to plug in a usb or memory card and wouldnt connect with a samsung phone. It did connect to the lap top via bluetooth but it kept losing connection. It is big and bulky in design and ugly looking. The sound was dull, overall it only deserves 1 star. Dont waste your money!

Quality

Wanted a speaker with a wee bit OOMPH but nothing to shake the rafters. I have several small speakers and they do the job but lack the top end volume. I was taken by the looks of this and the nice big toggle switch and dials give it a great retro feel. It's got a wee bit weight to it too. Connected in seconds and it sounds brilliant. Well worth the money

Great look and even better sound.

I was dubious how this would sound at first due to it being relatively cheap however I ordered it based on the reviews on the Argos website. I was pleasently surprised at how quality this item is. It looks retro and sounds modern. It has rich plentiful bass tones and a brilliant top end. I would recommend this to anyone.

Bluetooth no good

I tried for hours to do something I thought even I could do. Connect by blue tooth to a desktop with the connectivity power. Called Bush manufacturer who blamed it on the computer .... After several days I bought a wire mad so it works ok now no handle to move it so you have to cradle it to move. Looks and sound good though

This speaker is incredible!

This speaker is exactly what I was looking for. It looks so expensive and retro, and the sound quality is insane. It’s priced at 30 pounds which is a bargain for the what you get. 100% would recommend, I’m a student and was looking for a Bluetooth speaker (and it’s also wireless) - the adjustable bass is great too!!

Bush Bluetooth speaker

Brought this speaker because I liked the retro style. The sound quality to very good and works great with my iPhone X . I have it in the lounge mainly, but have used it in the garden when sitting enjoying the sun and chilling out . So overall a fantastic Bluetooth speaker . I would recommend it to anyone.

Has enough power for the room or use outside.

Appearance is deceptive,confused a few people who thought ir was an old practice amp, but fits in well with retro look. Sound quality is better than expected and powerful enough for outside use without annoying the neighbours. Picks up signal well anc connects immediately, would recommend, excellent value.

Excellent sound quality and lovely to look at.

I am very pleased with this speaker, it works well, Bluetooth connection is strong and the sound quality is great. It really sounds good when it’s nice and loud! I like the fact you can adjust the treble and low frequencies and it has a gorgeous retro look. It’s a nice size, not too big not too small.

Decent Sound for price

Bought this as a speaker for my Tablet. It was easy to set up and connect via bluetooth. It gives a loud punchy sound - its certainly not hifi, but for the price its good. It says you can calso onnect via a wire between the headphone sockets, but they don't supply a wire, which is a little cheap of them!

It doesn’t work because there was no cable incl.

I can’t use it because there was no cable included in the box, and I threw away the box . So it was a huge waste of money. It ran out of battery and now I can’t use it because there’s no cable included for me to plug it in to the wall and use it. I don’t really know what to do with it now
