Avantone Pro CV-28 Small-Capsule Tube Condenser Microphone

Great mic!

We have had this mic for about 2 or 3 years now and I absolutely love it. Although against conventional wisdom, I actually use this mic on vocals. I have tried numerous mics for my wife's voice... TLM103s, AT4050s, several others that I can't remember, all well known mics. None of them sounded quite right. We got one of these on a whim and gave it a shot... WOW! Perfect! It also sounds GREAT on acoustics and I mic'd up my electric guitars yesterd... Show Moreay for some tracking. These are very underrated microphones in my opinion. I would like to pickup another one to buy a pair. The only thing I don't like is having to change out the capsules to change pickup patterns. But that's a minor gripe, overall. The best way I know to explain how this mic sounds is that it is very clear in a great way. Another word might be intimate.Show Less
