Works; fragile and susceptible
I was pleasantly impressed by how well this worked. Plugged it in, and right away had a decent audio signal. It's not suitable for very high-quality work, but for anything less it gets the job done. The build quality isn't great. Bits of the XLR connector came loose after a day of work and the USB connector housing feels incredibly cheap and fragile. Nearly broadcast quality - worth the $
The absence of an attenuator on the USB plug is the only issue. You have to adjust your record volume through the soft-ware side. Under Adobe Audition, that's done with the Windows Recording Mixer -- but it may be different with other programs. Anyway -- this allows me to record nicely from my SM58 directly to my laptop without carrying around a mixer. Nice work.

Decent Cord but doesnt work with all apps
Purchased this cord to use with my Rode Reporter Mic and my iPhone. It works with garage band but won't work with my Boss Jock Pro App which is why I purhcased it. The red blinking light is a little annoying. If you are using this wiht a mic to your PC it will work jsut fine.

Simple to use
GarageBand via the iPad Camera Connection Kit recognized this without a problem (I didn't need a powered USB hub). The light on the USB jack is handy but the steady blinking can get annoying quickly. A little bit of black tape will solve this.

Great cable
I use this for hooking up my mic straight to my computer and it works great. Im getting great quality sounds through it and the usb end has a light on it that flashes when its working, so you know tat if somethings wrong its not the cable.

Great Solution, Low Price
Quick and easy way to get pro audio into your PC (I'm using a Mac). It's plug & play, so no software to load, upgrade, etc. The only think I'd like to see is a Mic/Line switch somewhere, but for the price, does what I need.
