Made a good family gift for my 80 year old mother.
I had to return the first one since there was a stuck-on red pixal. The second one there was a stuckon blue pixal. I was buying it as a present. I kept the 2nd one as is. It was a little quirky to use. For instance I would insert the SD card and the first message was no files found. I then pressed the exit button, re-selected the SD card and selected photos and then it worked. I saw some reviews that mentioned that customers had problems with the viewing angle. I did not have that problem with this unit. Clarity was good enough. I am still happy I bought it but it is not perfect.

extremely Bad product
this is the second photo frame from Aluratek. First one an 18 came broken then they changed it The second one I ordered it came with buttons locked. Did not want a replacement. I refuse to deal with this company. If they did not have the decency to check the product for body defects how can I trust them with the software. I am thinking that because the 18 one it had the software problems. Over all I will never buy this again . I trust BH - so they will have to look into this brand products and their quality .

Works great!
Nice enough for the job at the price. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it has a bit of a cheap feel...but it does the job, and well. My only suggestion would be res and the feel of it to turn up a notch.

Short Life
We are a retired couple who like to travel. We received this digital frame as a gift from our daughter and son-in-law for Christmas. It is now October and this morning the picture on the frame was very dim - pictures barely visible on the screen! I know they spent a lot of money on the frame and considered it a Christmas and birthday gift for my husband. It was so disappointing to find that this frame had this short of a life. Yes, 10 months! That was it. We were so disappointed and felt they threw their good money away for a piece of junk! Look around! Get a better digital frame!

VERY SHORT LIFESPAN
Worked very good for 7 months, and picture started to fade away, now at 8 months old a picture is barely recognizable in daylight.

Good Product for the price
4 of 5 stars because it's nearly impossible to use the frame without a remote. Can't control the volume of music/select pics with ease/turn off music/etc. Good product for the price though. I would recommend it to friends.

Easy setup
I needed a Digital Photo Frame for my business lobby. This was recommended by corporate. I had my doubts. My surprise, easy setup and works fine. I'm using it in my lobby as a slide show viewer for corporate adds, NOT high quality photos.

Nice Design, Hard to setup
Not easy to setup. Doesn't have the option to change photo manually, instead of having them change every 10 seconds.

Not For everyone
Tried to use this for a video installation. The alleged 800x600 native resolution appears to be non-square pixel, which is nowhere stated in the docs which are sparse, incomplete and misleading. It seems like they were written for another product. I own another smaller Aluratek picture frame which works much better, actually handles mp4 which this does not in spite of what it says. Wait, better products are coming.
This product is not up to par. The USB cable was even hard to use. I liked the matte surface and the 4 by 3 dimensions, but the housing and interface was not up to par.

Appears to be a very good product
I loaded the best of all my photos, about 400, onto a 4 gig thumb drive. Just turn the unit on and it starts to play a slide show. There is a learning curve for the menu options, however. The included manual is very basic. And the unit does not always respond to the remote, and takes several clicks to operate. You can navigate through subdirectories to locate what you want.
