Very Basic Soundbar
Bought this for my office as the sound produced by my laptop was no way near enough. I'd say that you get what you pay for. I mostly use it with Bluetooth via my phone and the volume it can reach is very loud, although distorted when on full.The equaliser presets don't really add much to the sound quality, it's not very bassy and more just reminds me of a pair if standard computer speakers. For the price i'm happy with it but if you want really good quality this won't be the soundbar for you.

Good for the price
I just wanted to enhance the sound from a replacement TV withi poor sound.. This does just that. Couldn't get it to work with the coloured leads but works fine with 3.5 mm jack supplied. You do have to balance the volume between the soundbar and TV settings. This fits well with my small Tele and tucks just underneath. Definitely not something which a serious audiophile would want and I wouldn't play my music through it (although I could). Just right for the basic purpose I had and great price

Need to buy an Optical or 3.5mm Audio Cable
Bought with Alba 28" TV (724/1855). Don't expect sound quality to rival higher-spec (more expensive) products; pretty good for a small room, if you don't crank up the volume, and far better than internal TV speakers. One great disappointment (especially as I bought Alba TV & Sound Bar together) is that the two products can't be connected "out of the boxes", an Optical or 3.5mm Audio Cable (not supplied) is required; Not warned of this when buying so extra cost and hassle (2-stars for set-up).

You get what you pay for!
I have an inexpensive TV and the speaker started to 'buzz', so I needed a soundbar - since they mostly cost about the same as the TV, I bought this one. It does the job - but if you want good sound, you definitely need to pay more! My main disappointment is that the volume adjusts in quite big 'jumps' - it is impossible to get the exact volume level you want. Also, the optical socket is poorly made - the plug falls out unless a small piece of folded paper is pushed in alongside it.

Great sound bar. Shame no cable supplied.
This sound bar is as good as it’s bigger cousins. We used it for camping on our small TV and it works fine. Only downside was that it wasn’t supplied with the cable I needed to link it to the TV so I first had to call Alba to check what I needed and then had to go back to Argos to buy it. Don’t mind paying for the cable but didn’t need the hassle and time involved. Why not either supply the cable or advise what’s needed at time of purchase (like you do for batteries now).

Not sure yet!
I bought this unit in early January 2018 because of it's dimensions . It worked well......for about 6 days, when the sound went in a big way. A replacement unit is working well. But for how long? Though I'm hoping it will not fail like its predecessor! In these circumstances, I can't award it 5 stars, and I can't really recommend it to a friend as yet, but there is no option in this review for that choice, so I have had to put "yes". If it doesn't fail again, it will be a good buy.

Looks good in front of my 32 inch TV
Easy to set up if you read the booklet. No facility for storing desired sound or volume level, user has to change it every time bar is switched on. Recommend user puts TV sound to mute after switch on with soundbar connected and take it off standby, then adjust sound to low on the bar by pressing for 3 seconds a button for Vol - on bar or use remote control, finally take mute off the TV sound. Adjust sound up or down for the bar to preferred listening level.

RUBBISH & WASTE OF MY TIME.
The sound bar did not work. It was a total waste of a morning going to and from Argos 4 times. I am also annoyed because the odd looking cellotape on the package leads me to believe that this thing has been returned before, and then handed out to me . Grrrrrrr. I will think twice before ordering any cheap electrical goods from Argos in the future. It has been two weeks and my card has still not been credited. What a waste of time and energy.

new sound bar for a uhd tv
The sound bar had no lead to attach to the tv . I have read on line i believe optical tos links are the best leads for sound as they use light emitting fibre optics other cables use wires which cause emi (eletro magnetic interferance) i purchase an inexpensive optical lead from argos the sound and fit into the bar was adequate yet i quickly upograde to a 5 pound lead the difference is exceptional i am very pleased with the sound bar

Sounds good but there is no low volume level at al
Sounds good but the most minumum volume level is still high. I use it optical connection with Apple TV 3. In the midnight I hesitate to use it because its minumum volume is high level volume. I tried bluetooth it works proper. I can keep volume down on my iphone volume control as fine. It says 3.5mm aux but my 3.5 cables doesnt fit it. I think its aux connection is tinner then 3.5mm. Better to be noticed.

My Alba soundbar no loner works after three weeks!
I bought this product around three weeks ago and was initially happy, as it did everything I expected it to do (sounded great in fact). Unfortunately, it evidently wasn't built to last and despite the fact I have only used it a few times and have in no sense mistreated it......it is already knackered! As such I simply cannot in good conscience leave a positive review! Avoid like the plague, cheap tat!

Excellent for the price
Wanted something to boost the sound for the small television in our kitchen/diner - this fits the bill perfectly. We connected via an optical audio cable bought separately and the remote then controls all the sound. Works really well as a stand-alone Bluetooth speaker as well. Very pleased overall - probably not up to a sound gurus standards but at this price definitely a good buy.

Nice little sound bar
We were looking for a small sound bar for our caravan and came upon this one it’s blue tooth . Has a remote control and is very good value for money. Took a while to sort it out as we found out are tv didn’t have blue tooth but it comes with Leads so that wasn’t a problem the sound quality is surprisingly good, I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Excellent small sound bar
Wanted a small sound bar to enhance my sons's 32" TV sound for gaming use and opted for this one as matched criteria looking for (size and price) wasn't expecting much from it to be honest but pleasantly surprised as improved sound immensely and my son loves it - It's not the loudest sound bar out there but will do the job required at a fraction of the price

i love my soundbar
I bought this soundbar for my small telly in my new snug, if I'm honest it was cheap and i wasn't expecting it to be fantastic, oh how wrong was i? Its great, easy to connect and comes with remote, the sound quality is as good as the one i have on my sitting room telly and that one was not cheap, go on buy it you won't be disappointed .

Alba sound bar
Load of rubbish remote works when it wants and returned it to replace only to find the new ones have no optical connection even though it says it’s there in the questions and answered section . Don’t buy get a different one pay a few quid more and leave this model alone .Would have given it NO STARS if that was possible

Powerful speaker
When choosing the sound bar I was concerned that the 30w would not be powerful enough but I was so wrong. It packs a punch and rather loud. I've used it on my TV as well as my phone to play music on bluetooth with remote control. The price is very reasonable and I would definitely recommend it. Used with 22in Samsung TV.

Fantastic sound bar
Purchased this sound bar as a replacement ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT and works with a 42 inch tv no problem. I’ve connected it with aux cable and headphones no issues with set up plugged everything in and it was good to go. Would definitely recommend and pleased to give this 5 stars would have gave more if possible

Good sound!
This sound bar is just the right size for my TV. It sounds good, and doesn't make an annoying hum as it did with a jack to jack cable. I only gave it 4 stars as the volume control is not very sensitive. It has levels pre-set, so can be a little loud, or too quiet. A very good buy for the price though.

Below standard
To be honest, I set it up to watch world Cup after 15 to 20 minutes of watching it did switch off by itself. I turned it on again still after 15 minutes it switched off again. Or I've got a faulty product? So I decided to return it and have a refund. The guy on the till is very helpful. Thumbs up!

Poor quality
Not sure if mine was faulty or its just poor quality, Bluetooth sounded OK but when hooked up to the TV it was terrible, cracking and poor sound quality. Was easy to use and easy to set up, everything was in the box ready to go. I returned it to store and upgraded it in store for the next one up.

Keeps cutting out and Bluetooth doesn't work well
Started well excellent sound quality from it until you tried connecting by Bluetooth and the sound quality was rubbish. Soundbar also intermittently turns itself off am returning it but will exchange for the same, hoping it is just a one off, however if the next fails I will pursue a refund.

Versatile sound centre
Excellent sound quality from Bluetooth and optical inputs. Slight buzz from aux and line inputs. Bluetooth allows you to play music from your phone or computer whilst linking it to a pvr with the optical input creates many different possibilities. Would benefit from finer volume response.

Smart little bar
And it really is smart but depending on what you want it for. Hooked up to the t.v its worth a 6/10 but the quality of it dramatically loses strength when most genres of music are played I'm not a fan of the television so I am disappointed with the product Still give it a go tho
