Perfect!!
This is exactly what I needed. A simple laptop able to perform the basic functions without having to pay for all the extras I dont use. I am very happy with the Samsung Chromebook. Small, lightweight, and great battery life. I definitely recommend to anyone who just needs a basic performing laptop.

Disappointment
I have 2 Samsung ceels and 1 Flat Screen TV and I love them all, but this Chromebook from Samsung disappointed me. The problem has to do with battery life reporting. I noticed that a 100% charge it was reporting anywhere from 4-5 hours left..really, it should be 7-9 hours. Made my way to their repair facility after sending it back..they tried to convince me nothing was wrong..finally I told them I was trained as an engineer and had about 40 years... Show More

Chromebook Does the Trick
The chromebooks is ideal for doing exactly what it was meant to do: surf the net, check emails. and use a writing program like Google Doc or Microsoft on Line. If you want it to do more, you have bought the wrong machine. In all fairness I have an Ipad, and a Surface Pro 4. Each machine has a purpose. Chromebook is my web facing system. There are very few viruses for Chrome OS as there a very few programs for Chrome OS. Store everything in Google Drive and forget the worry about ransom ware or breakage. Apple Care will cost you half of what you pay for the entire Chromebook.
