Beautiful!!!
The images from this len is incredibly detailed , and beautiful rendered. This is a fun len to use and easy to focus on my Sony A6300. Using the Sony image magnifier you can easily focus on subject. Its one of my favorite lens.

Okay in small doses
True fish-eye lenses like this (that project a circular image within the frame area in order to achieve full 180 degree view in all directions) are an acquired taste and not suitable for many occasions, but that said if the opportunity arises they can be fun. One this I noticed is that on a bright day, as shown in the examples here, when fully open the lens exhibits a couple of concentric bright bands that dont appear when it is stopped down. ... 190 degrees
The fisheye effect is one of my favorite images. The opteka 6.5mm works perfectly on the Canon M50.. It does not achieve the full circle on the M50 but it still gives a great image. It does achieve a clear sharp image. I just love it.

Useful in rooms
I bought this lens to photograph room interiors, not realistically, but effectively. It was affordable and fleshed out my Nikon 1 collection. Image quality is good. (I used a light-meter app on my smartphone to handle the manual settings.)

Far better lens than the price would suggest.
The lens feels solid and well-built, with smooth action and nice heft. The mount has a little rotational play, as often happens with third-party products, but is not loose. The slip-on lens cap is snug and smooth and yet not prone to coming off. The image is usably sharp from f/2 on, center to corner. Stepped down to f/8, only pixel peepers will be able to complain. The bokeh is a bit wibbly, like with catadioptrics, rather than round and sm... Show More

Opteka 6.5 F2.0 Fish eye
If you were ever a kid and saw things that may look different to you and not to others then you need a fish eye lens, example when pn a monkey bar at a city park and ypu hung upside down then looked up at all the bars how cool that looked, now take a picture with the fish eye of the monkey bars you just did a time travel

Can be lots of fun
I knew going in that a circular fisheye is not a lens I would use very often, and as a result I don't use it that often. But I have to say that, for the price, it is really the best value out there. I've rented Sigma's 4.5MM fish, and while it's a beautiful piece of glass for $900 I knew I just wouldn't use it often enough to justify the price. Then I tried the Lensbaby offering, and it was a thorough disappointment - every shot I took had a... Show More

great iq but with issues
Nice little fisheye and image quality is great on my a7riii, but the aperture and focus ring is very stiff, hard to turn. Not a huge deal as this is a fisheye u don't use the aperture and focus ring all the time. Also the lens mount is very very tight which mean it requires a bit of force to mount it on the camera. overall pretty nice when u need a fisheye look

Circular Fisheye Lens -- It's a CIRCULAR fisheye lens
I have to put in this comment as a review, because there's no way to comment on another review. The person complaining that the lens gives an effect that it is supposed to give, because he didn't understand what it means, it's just preposterous man! The title is CIRCULAR fisheye lens. And it's a lens for the APS-C format, which means that it will provide a circular image on APS-C. Just because you didn't understand what it's supposed to do, don't... Show More

Great Buy!
Sharp, high contrast and color free images. Small light weight package. All metal construction. Impressive multicoatings control flare and stray light extremely well. Cons: minor play in m4/3 mount. Focus thread friction a bit variable. Non numeric distance scale on focus ring. Aperture scale a bit to narrow to easily access. These are all minor detractions for an otherwise very useful lens. Also note that for m4/3 format the fisheye image is slightly truncated at the top and bottom of the circular image. I highly recommend this lens.

Image circular and not filling the screen on crop sensor
I wanted to use this lens on my Fuji X-T2, and since the camera has a APS-C crop sensor I mistakenly assumed the image would fill the frame. It is giving perfectly circular images that do not fill the frame (which I thought is what you would get on a full frame camera). Not into the circle effect and not what I wanted. A little confused as to why this is happening.
