JOBY GorillaPod 1K Flexible Mini-Tripod with Ball Head Kit

Too weak and too light for down shots
I put a Ulanzi iPhone camera on it and loaded the small iPhone 10 with a Moment lens on it to do a straight down shot and the legs just do not stay put. The tripod wants to tip and sag. I don't know what else would work so I'm keeping it for now.

Just good enough
This is a great addiction to my camera accessories. It does the job. If you are looking for a small on the go tripod or handheld tripod then this is what you need. Def recommend if you like taking low shots and do not mind that it doesnt extend.

A must for any photography bag
I own extremely expensive tripods and I use this one more than any of them. It's the best travel tripod hands down. If mine ever breaks (it's going on three years with no issues) I will gladly buy another one. If you're on the fence just do it.

Great unit!
This is a terrific piece of equipment! It's small enough to stick the legs on the side of my camera backpack. However, it's also beefy enough to hold up my Sony a 7R3 with a G master 100 to 400. This is a terrific, rugged and adaptable tripod!

Practical tool
I heard good things about gorillapod from YouTubers like Casey Neistat and Matti Haapoja so I gave a try. I love how small and resistant is for high payload. As I am from Peru, this small tripod helps me get away from dangerous places faster.

Fabulous
I love this little unit! It's perfect for setting up a DSLR like Canon or Nikon. However, it will also hold up to my A7RIII with a G-Master lens..... with that said, I definitely feel more secure on the 5K using the Sony Mirrorless equipment.

Poor material
Could have bought a 3$ flexible tripod on ebay as this one has the same plastic quality. After about 10 times Ive been using this tripod (home use for my iPhone) the legs has started to crack all over! Very disappointed with this product :(

Performs as expected
If you are familiar with Joby tripods at all, this performs exactly as you would expect. Nothing to right home about, but it is a good tool to have in your kit. I like to use it to mount speedlights while shooting on location.

Wonderful support for a Lume Cube
I bought this to support a Lume Cube 2 that I use to illuminate a slide/negative copying setup. It is the perfect height, small, light and portable. Seems like a really good value for my use with the light Lume Cube.

Sturdy
I had 1k Joby and in a very short time one of its leg got loose, not holding position and that kind of stuff But this one you can feel how sturdy it is when holding. Mainly using it for gopro, light, small cameras

Terrific tripod addition
While I had two tripods for serious photography I was looking for some very flexible that could be used on a scenic lake out on a boat. This can be twisted to a railing or used in other similar situations.

You need this one.
Its a very good quality from the flexible legs and I love the ball head this Joby 5K. If you thinking to get one, I'll help you to answer you question. Yes!! You should have one even without a reason.

Does the job
Super easy to use out of the box. It performed well with the A7Riii and both the 16-35 2.8gm as well as the 85 1.4gm. No issues with weight etc for both vlogging and as a make shift tripod on the fly.

Good Tripod, one proplem
I have used these before and love them. The problem is that I use Really Right Stuff L plates on my Cameras and the screw on the Joby is the wrong size for me to use for quick release and attachment.

Very portable
Great flexibility as it can be tied to almost anything. Light weigh and fits inside a backpack o just hanging from it. Only 4 stars because I don't feel the quick release plate to be that strong.

This thing is great.
An absolutely wonderful tripod thats light weight, flexible while still being very stable. Now that I have one, I cant imagine not owning such a light, useful device. I highly recommend it.

Great size, very useful
Its a great size for a backpack and its very useful to wrap onto a fence or pole, or even to stand as a tripod. Only wish I would have is for the legs to be a couple of knuckles longer.

Great addition
Have used it a couple of times where a full sized tripod would not fit. It held the camera steady and I look forward to challenging its design and ability in cramped tight spaces.

Not too big or small - just right
I have a Sony A6500 mirrorless camera. It holds it very firmly and it gives me all of the flexibility with my shots in many different situations where my tripod can't fit.

Just what I needed.
I was always looking for a lightweight compact tripod. The 5K met all my needs. I was surprised how versatile and sturdy it was to hold my heavy DSLR cameras and lenses.

Amazing!
It`s a very small tripod - enough to hold a gopro or a phone. Very flexible, very sturdy and functional - an amazing accessory for your everyday photo or video needs!

Surprisingly great
The GorillaPod 3K has been great for supporting a DJI Osmo Mobile 2 and an iPhone X, and played a backup role as a background light stand holding a small speedlight.
