JOBY GorillaPod 1K Flexible Mini-Tripod with Ball Head Kit

Does not even last one year
It was amazing at first, it would work perfectly. But then time past and the product woudnt even hold my camera steady. All the joints of this tripod would break and get very weak. Today i was using the tripod and one of the joints disconnected from the ballhead and my camera fell to the floor. Thankfully nothing happened to the camera, but I highly dont recommend this product.

Love Level Guage!
I bought this because my smaller one was too small for my camcorder and drooped despite that Gorillapods weight rating. This one was perfect for my PanasonicHC-X920 and light enough to go anywhere. I deducted a star because the next smaller tripod should have worked. I love the level, though! I cannot speak about durability yet because I have only used this tripod a few times.

Nice sturdy mini tripod
The GorillaPod 3k has been in use now for a couple of weeks, handling heavy rain and winds without fail. Purchased for a trail camera, I selected the 3k because it supports more weight than my 1k GorillaPod. Very versatile in its use whether wrapping around a tree branch, rock or as a traditional tripod the 3k mini tripod has met and exceeded my needs.

Hang it anywhere
This little guy is terrific to use when space for a full size tripod is not possible. You can hang it just about anywhere, and on just about anything. A real scene saver sometimes, when otherwise I may not have gotten the shot or angle I wanted. Thanks JOBY. It also works great for holding the gopro when I am videoing an area to share on Social Media.

Compact little tripod
It's a pretty standard mini tripod which will fit pretty well in a camera bag or a regular backpack. Holds my X-H1 pretty steadily though I haven't tested the cling feature. Feels pretty solid to the touch, a little pricey for the size but it creates the possibility for smoother handheld shots with easy attachment (if you compare it to a gimbal).

Rock Star Tripod - love it
I guess I have one in every size now ;) This kit with the ball head is a great piece of equipment and a good deal (I caught a sale) and can handle whatever I've put on it (Nikon 810 / 750 mostly with a 28-70) It's rock solid - if you're considering adding this, always opt for the next size up ... or you'll wind up with one of each, like me :)

Pretty strong...not good for shooting straight down.
I put a Sony A6500 on it with a 50mm Zeiss touit and it has a tendency to tip when I cock the camera steeply down. I have to be careful with it and I have a light camera and a medium lens. The legs are tight enough to hold the camera but don't think of putting anything heavier on the system if you are trying for a down shot...shooting dirt.

Versatile and Stable Mini Tripod
I bought this mini tripod to secure a Nikon D500 on a tabletop. I had previously avoided buying this because, in store, it looked clunky if not downright unwieldy. I was very wrong. This Joby GorillaPod 5K is infinitely flexible and rock steady. It is ingeniously designed and beautifully made. Im very happy I convinced myself to buy it.

I don't know how I ever got by without it.
I honestly don't know how I ever managed before I bought it. This is a gorilly good pod, all joking aside, this thing is awesome! I use it for podcasting, photos, and everything else. Hold it, sit it on a table, wrap it around a fence post. Truly an ingenious product and I highly recommend it to anyone who has a camera.

It CANT support my iphone 8+ with a light plastic clamp
You think they could do better seeing as theyre charging an excessive amount for $1.00 worth of injection molded loc-line. I expected it to be larger, and more sturdy. Dont buy this one, go with a larger one. A gopro may be the only suitable device for this tripod. Honestly wish for a refund but its not worth the time.

Wasnt what I had hoped
Definitely is a great tripod for vloggers, but to set up and take images its a tad too stiff and clunky for what I need to use it for. Not the quickest thing to set up in my opinion. Handled my Sony a7riii with a Tamron 28-75mm 1.4 very well though so I will give it a two thumbs up on the amount of weight it can hold.

The Best for Travel
Recently got this to utilize on the go with my Sony A7II. It's sturdy and allows me to take portrait-style photos without worry the camera will tip over (which has happened with others). For those that need something light to travel with on days you don't want to lug around your massive tripod..this is a winner!

This Gorilla rocks
I own a Sony A7iii and a Sony a6300 and was looking for a travel tripod which is lightweight and sturdy enough to carry both cameras wwith their ...-105 lenses. This one does the job, is super light and portable and comes with a very nice ball head which keeps the cameras in exactly the place I want it to be.

Well Received
Shipped this for my friend. He seems pretty happy using it as a monopod and general purpose short pod with good friction and stability. The legs are tougher than you might think and need some pretty decent flexing to get them where you want them if you're wrapping it around something. Good stuff.

Excellent size
Bought this to use when shooting macros and other things where there is a fence or something to wrap it around. Much easier than taking the big tripod when I dont really need to carry the heavy one around. This is sturdy and will hold my camera and lens (5d Mark IV and 24-105) with no issues.

Legs broke
I bought this Joby super excited to finally have my hands on one. Fast forward 3 months and the legs have all broken. The ball connector at the base of the ball-headcracked on all three legs and now the legs spin uncontrollably and do not stay in place. Love Joby but not this tripod.

THe only tripod I ever carry
I no longer waste my time traveling with anything larger than this for a tripod. super light. The level is really nice and really low profile. No complaints at all. Probably the best camera accessory. I never go anywhere without it, becauseit's so easy to pack and won't slow you down.

Stronger than expected
The ball head doesnt look very robust in the pics. but seems pretty strong in person. Its a little bigger than I expected but I feel comfortable about my cameras safety on it. Bought it for motorcycle travel to support my Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS-100. Very happy with this purchase.

Works well.
The Joby 3K and ballhead work well. Recently I made a decision to embrace iPhoneography more seriously. The Joby 3K and the ballhead will add stability for my landscape and slower shutter speeds. I also purchased a wireless remote to minimize shake. All work well for my purposes.

Difficult ti use, doesnt carry the weight
While this works fairly well, it does not live up to the 5lb advertised weight bearing capability. With a Son a7R and the 24-70 f/2.8 GM lens, it sags. It is also difficult to get a sturdy foothold by wrapping it around things as advertised. Just does not live up to the promise.

Great for getting those low angle shots
The 5K can handle a full frame DSLR on a Ball head. You can splay the legs out completely flat and use the camera's tilting LCD and live view with a cable release (or self timer) and get those unique low angle shots without having to lie flat on your stomach (or back).

Brilliant accessory
Gorillapods have always been great but his one is the perfect balance of sturdiness and functionality. The ballhead is good, that small level is a welcome addition, the rubbery quik release plate works fine. The length of legs works great in many situations.

Useful but not all-in-one
This works great on a variety of horizontal surfaces for both mics and dslrs. However, it's not quite as useful on vertical surfaces as it is portrayed. If you can fully wrap it, you're ok but its a little precarious for my taste in a lot of vertical cases.

No quality
First GorillaPod 3K arrived already broken but I got it exchanged from BH very fast. The replacement was used only one time and the leg broke off. I am very disappointed with the quality of this product. You can clearly see that they are not made to last.
