Well Worth The Wait!!
I have been waiting since the introduction of the D600 to get into full frame photography. Read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of hands on You Tube reviews which all said the D600 was an overall xcellent camera. There are limits but still a massive improvement over any previous camera I have owned. The only thing holding me back was the overblown internet craze of dust/oil spots. Regardless if it was necessary or not Nikon is taking care of D... Show More

Glad I purchased this camera!
I have only had this camera for three weeks and I love it! I have been shooting with the Nikon 24-70 2.8 and the shots taken have been great. The camera handles very well. I am very impressed thus far and looking forward to a great long term working relationship!

Super Upgrade
I wanted to upgrade to a full frame body and I upgraded from a D300. I was very pleased with the D300 but, WOW!!!!! The D610 blows it away. Faster focus and absolutely tack sharp. Still learning the video aspect, but, they too are super clean. The low light capabilities is far superior than what I have been accustom to.

It is the camera I was waiting for.
It will be used just for a hobby. Viewfinder brightness makes it possible to manually focus mylegacy lenses. Menu lets me dial in AIS lenses for metering. Focus assist arrows in viewfinder are a bonus. As a former working film still photographer I am very satisfied with the IQ. Couldn't be happier. It is very light and fits perfectly in my hands. Iuse UTube to get me trough the menus and settings. No complaints here.

Perfectly Practical
I've been using this product for mini photoshoots around town. It is easy to use manual functions, and the auto adjustments work rather well. The photographs have been coming out with great detail. I would highly recommend this product to both for recreational shooters and for those who are more serious, but they need a cheaper option.

Nice Camera
I use the camera primarily for HDR photography. I wanted a full frame sensor that I could afford, and the D610 fit the bill best for me because it is highly compatible with my Promote Control device unlike, say, a Sony A7, which is another economically-priced full frame sensor camera. What I like about the D610 a lot is that, for Nikon cameras, even though its bracket set is limited, it can do a three-shot bracket with 3EV spreads. If I want to d... Show More

Worth the money!!
I'm a beginner photographer and used to shoot with Nikon D90. Recently upgraded to D610 and very much happy with its performance. Amazing photos with its FX sensors and very much filled with all features necessary for a beginner to semi pro photographers.

Leaves DX in the dust
I had expected to see a difference in the FX format, after shooting DX for many years, but I was not prepared for how dramatic that difference really is. The detail, subtleties in color rendition, and overall smoothness the D610 is capable of capturing are remarkable. I had wanted to move to FX for some time, but did not need the 36.6 Mp capability, additional features, or the cost of the D800. In my line of work, though, I do need the ability to... Show More

Sweet full frame
Great ergonomics we come to expect with Nikon. The lens is pretty decent for a kit lens too. I am happy with this camera and lens.

Great Camera
This is a great camera. The only thing I was disappointed with was that the camera RAW format on the D610 is not compatible with Photoshop CS5. I had to download a DNG converter. Other than that, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Very pleased overall...
... that is, after I exchanged the first one for another copy because I discovered a blob of hot pixels in center frame. I wasn't taking test shots or anything, and there were just a handful of them, but it's hard not to notice a hot-pink blemish in the middle of every shot. B&H handled this quickly and professionally, sending #2 to Ohio in only two days. I upgraded from a D5100, which I absolutely loved, but found myself outgrowing its level of ... Show More

AMAZING camera!!
I bought this camera as an upgrade from a d7000. I absolutely love it! Could not have asked for anything better. You can not use your DX lenses on the full frame but there is an option to be able to use the DX lenses if you have to. I opted to put my 50 mm 1.8 on it in FX mode and the pictures are beautiful. Great low light camera as well! Just shot a wedding this weekend and so glad I made this purchase. My D7000 would not have stood up to the D610. It performed perfectly in all of the low light situations. Great purchase! B&H rocks too!! Thank you for always superior service!

Excellent choice for upgrading to FX
I researched this camera for quite a while, comparing it to the D7100 and the D800. I was wanting to upgrade from my Nikon entry level DSLR. I'd learned the basics but wanted more features to go with my growing experience. Ultimately I knew I wanted an FX camera and the D610 looked to be just what I wanted. I'm happy to say the camera lives up to the hype. The exposure control, metering options, bracketing, in-camera HDR, and great low-light capa... Show More

Love this camera
Fixes the dust & oil problem of the D600, and has a faster & snappier firmware (it seems) Having both the D600 & the D610, this camera seems much faster and smarter than the previous version.

Great camera
I was looking at the D800 but didn't really need that much camera and didn't want to spend that much. The D610 is an amazing camera that does everything I need for a reasonable price.

Nikon D610
I use this camera to take family pictures. It's fantasic. With the 28-300mm lens I can do everything from group shots to zooming in on the grandkids when they least suspect it.

Great product with known limitation
I was confused initially to get a D800 or D610, but after comparing all the raw files and considering my requirement I decided to go for D610. Image quality is excellent and it has a very good high ISO performance. The only problem I am facing is the concentration of the focus point in the center; apart from that it is a great camera. Also the camera LCD is pretty bad in bright daylight.

Outstanding Camera
Finally upgraded from my D300s to the full frame D610. The D610 does not have all the bells and whistles of the D300s nor is it built As rugged. However, the quality of my photos is so much better and it's low light capability are light years ahead of my D300s. Just took Photos at an indoor volleyball tournament over the weekend and said to the wife that I wish I had made this purchase sooner! Combined with my nikon 24-70 lens and shooting at 300... D610 a winner
The Nikon D610 is the best camera I've ever owned, and that includes more expensive Leicas and Nikons. It's surprisingly easily to operate, more so than earlier, comparably priced Nikon models. E. D.

Full-frame perfection at a great price
The D610 is a great platform many of Nikon's best lenses. Following the advise of a professional photographer friend I had invested in top notch glass (AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II, & 28-70mm f/2.8D IF-ED, 17-35mm f/2.8D IF-ED) for my DX-format D70s body waiting for a great FX-format body my budget to come along. The D610 is just that and a terrific match for these lenses. The viewfinder provides a bright, full-frame image with a clear and sharp data bar. The D610 has an extensive and intuitive menu of camera settings to achieve your vision and explore new ones.

Just what I needed
I recently got Into the world of dslr. I first picked up a nikon d7100. While the d7100 was an excellent camera by nikon I found myself wanting the dof of a full frame and better lowlight performance. The d610 has exceeded my expectations. I recently took it with me on a trip out of town to San Francisco. The color rendition is beautiful, the auto focus is fast, and the iso performance for a nighttime tour of Alcatraz was unbelievably good for th... Show More

Very Pleased. RE D600 and EOS 6D
I have owned the Nikon D600 and currently own a Canon EOS 6D in addition to the Nikon D610. D610 versus D600 - After over a 1000 activations I have had no shutter spatter issues with the D610. I find the D610 also has a better white balance than the D600, in both daylight and inside/artificial lighting. In both cameras I find the metering is excellent and I find that Nikon does not shift quickly to higher ISOs which results, for me at least, in m... Show More
