Will not mount onto Canon Full Frame EF 5D Mark IV
I purchased this lens to photo document the interior remodeling of our residence. I assumed it would attach to my full frame 5D Mk IV (EF mount), but I was surprised to learn that it will not. Not to worry, it works perfectly on my Canon 7D Mk II (EF-S mount) and all is well. I always try to thoroughly research any purchase I make such as this but obviously I overlooked this detail and assume responsibility for my over site. The lens works great... Show More

Incredible Image Quality
Bought this lens along with a Canon 20D from B&H a number of years ago. It has produced some of my best landscape images, with incredible image quality and color rendition. Took it on a trip through the Canadian Rockies a few years back and have some very memorable images to show for it. Using it now on both my 7D and my 80D and it is still one of my favorites. Build quality is very good and focus is almost always spot on. Images taken with it ha... Show More

Great lens works well
My current lens is a 55-17 zoom (on an APS-C sensor) so I wanted something a little wider without the distortion. I looked at two lens, the Sigma 8-16 and this one from Canon, the 10-22. Neither had a technical review at DP Review so it was a hard decision to make, I went with the Canon, it is a bit lighter (I am an decrepit old man) and it overlaps with the 55-17 I have. The Sigma will not take any filters due to the curvature of the front eleme... Show More

Great for certain things
I have only had this lens for a couple of weeks but so far I really like it. It does very well for close up shots, I've used it for cars and architecture. The wide angle capability is great for these types of photography. However so far I haven't been super impressed with the shots i've taken with it of wide open landscapes. They don't turn out as sharp as I want. However this could be an issue of me not knowing exactly how to set up the camera, ... Show More

Great for National Parks
I bought this lens 11 years ago for a 20D. I took it to Yosemite and I could not have used a better lens. I took it back to Yosemite in 2016 with a 60D. The pictures were certainly clearer, but the lens was perfect for this environment. I know it's really a 16-35mm for the 60D, but I still use it for great wide angle shots.

Another great Canon classic
If you do not know how to use the 10-22 lens for astounding landscape captures then I hasten to say you are a picture taker, not a photographer. Count pixels all you want and in the end you'll end up with tack sharp award winning photos. I hear far to many people blaming the lens only because they did a poor job framing the shot or didn't know what camera settings to use. I am a little biased in that landscape photography is the better portion of what pays the bills and it hasn't taken long for this lens to pay for its self.

A Canon secret weapon
I use this lens for shooting real estate photos and urban landscapes. It's a real gem. The clarity is fantastic, and there is no distortion even on the widest setting (10mm). I am also going to incorporate this lens into weddings for my next wedding shoot. Shooting a subject up close with a wide setting really exaggerates the space around the subject like the sky and the ground. It creates a very interesting photo. 3.5-4.5 aperture is fine since ... Love this lens!
Owned this lens before and it got dropped and damaged. Cost less to buy a new one then repair. But this is an investment so I went a while without. Amazing pictures, great clarity and light, gorgeous colors. So happy to have it back.

One of my essential lenses!
I originally bought this lens to use for a specific project for taking indoors pictures of rooms in houses for some friends, but quickly realized its potential for portraiture as well! Now this lens is in my standard kit for all portraits and weddings, too. It's very unique and isn't used often for those reasons, which is why I love it! Allows me to get creative!

My Choice in camera equipment
I've only had a couple of opportunities to use it and very satisfied with what I got. Thanks Patrick for your recommendation on this product. I am very sure that I will be shopping at this place from now on when it comes to camera equipment.

Mostly Great lens
Mostly good lens. Slight barrel distortion. Auto focus is also a bit inaccurate. I have come across an issue where sometimes the auto focus does not work at all for some reason. When you switch the lens to manual focus for the auto focus doesn't accidentally change your focus then switch it back, sometimes it doesn't work. This has happened about 6-7 times over the last few months. The fix is to disconnect the lens, and reattach it to your camera. This could be just my unit though

Did the job!
I bought this in order to take photos of my son's prom group. I'm the one with the best camera and equipment, so they assumed I was pro. (I'm not!) It was the compromise lens in terms of features and price. There was absolutely no problem getting the totally uninteresting (!) photo of the 22 kids standing in a row. However, I noticed that the girl on the end was slightly widened and I did not have the lens all the way out to 10mm (probably more like 12-15mm).

You won't regret getting it!
I read quite a few reviews of this and other super wide zooms, and the Canon seemed to have more positives. Am I glad I made the choice. On my 60d this is great. Autofocus works well and fast and has rarely been off. Manual focus is a little more difficult, especially at the wide end - to be expected. Minimal fringing, and then only at high magnification and critical inspection. At normal viewing distances it will not be noticed. I have not notic... Show More

Perfect Lens to keep in the Bag
As an aspiring photo-enthusiast I did a lot of research on various lenses and came out more confused than when I started. Everyone has an opinion and I do not have that discerning eye regarding color distortion and chromatic issues. I tested my friends Canon 10-22 mm lens and liked the feel and image quality. I believe you get what you pay for so I pulled the trigger and know this will be a lens I will have for the long haul.

Monster Lens
It's what I wanted, and more. I was looking for a wide-angle to use that would give my T5i a nice range not possible with the 18-55 kit lens, and the 10-22mm has added another dimension to my wildlife, landscape, and portrait work. I checked other manufacturers, but kept returning to Canon because of the reviews, and my more than 46 year relationship with Canon. Physically, it's the second largest lens in my bag. Canon says it's light weight, but... Show More

Super Wide Angle
This lens is really amazingly wide for not having a full frame dslr. It really does capture the whole scene. A few drawbacks however. One is that it doesn't focus as well as I'd like it to. It also doesn't have image stabilization and even when using a tripod and a remote, I have some issues with shaky pictures. Definitely not a good lens for indoor, low light scenarios. I brought it to dinner the other night hoping to be able to get the whole fa... Show More

Far exceeded my expectations
I own a Canon 7D. I wanted a landscape lens which would be the equivalent of a 16mm lens on a full-frame 35mm camera, so I bought the EF-S 10-22mm Canon lens from B&H about 5 years ago. My other 2 lenses are Canon L glass, so I was concerned about the quality of this lens. Having used it a lot, I can report that I NEVER need to correct for corner fade and in 5 years, only once have I made a very minor adjustment for lens barrel effect. I would highly recommend this lens.

Sharp, crisp pictures
Very sharp images. Use this lens for taking photos at car shows and I couldn't ask for better pictures. A little heavy but not so much that it can't be held still.
