WD Hard Case for My Passport Wireless Pro

Good but not perfect.
I purchased the hard case for the obvious positive protection of the expensive and excellent Passport Wireless Pro hard drive. It is strong and robust, but the lack of clearance within the case for the USB cable supplied with the hard drive is annoying, and a design fault (in my opinion), because the cable needs to travel with the hard drive, and not being within the case causes seperation and frustration when its required. An extra 2-3mm in the case internal dimensions would solve the problem.

Good protection but needs improvement.
This product does what it was designed for and like other reviewers before me this case should have had room inside or a mesh pocket outside for the USB cable. One other thing that could be improved (WD are you listening) is that there should be a couple of slots inside for CF cards storeage as not all of us using cameras that have total SD card capability. For example, my two Nikons are CF and SD card configured. Otherwise, I would recommend just for protection of the device.

Wireless SSD is good but not a laptop replacement
Seamlessly works with Nikon NEF files and iPads. I use a Nikon 850 with very large raw files. The pro is that it is small, self-contained and very convenient when you at a remote location and want to backup and review your work. The con is that for files greater than 70 MB, displaying each picture is slow and there is no workflow management feature. Also, features such as renaming and deleting could be better implemented. Does not appear to work with Lightroom mobile.

Could be better
I knew buying this that this was not perfect. But I needed something. I cut out one side of the memory card holders to give some room for the cable but I wish that this was factored into the case to begin with. How hard would it have been to give it an extra couple odd centimeter of length so we can back the wire/charger? Sure it would be a bit bigger, but then it would be a complete case. But for $20, its better then no case.

a useful addition to a WD Wireless Pro external HD
Not a 100% solid case - about as solid as hard plastic airport luggage. Still should offer some more protection when travelling with a WD My Passport Wireless Pro. Enough room in it for the short USB 3.0 cord that comes with the My Passport, but not the charger for extended wireless use.

Fit for Purpose
In keeping with all WD gear, in my significant experience, this case is very much fit for purpose whether it be storing MY Passport Wireless Pro, the reason I purchased it, or storing multiple SD cards, or both. WD does it again!

Would like room for a USB cable
The case fits My Passport just fine but I wish there were room for a USB cable in the case. I don't use the Wi-Fi feature and therefore use a connector which I have to store separately.

Good, but
The case fits very well My Passport Wireless Pro and provides good protection for the HD. The only limitation is the lack of room for the cable.

Worth the Wait
It was a bit of a wait for this but it was worth it. I really like the slots for SD cards in the case. One less thing to have to worry about.

Extremely Solid Feeling Protection
Fits the Wireless Pro perfectly and has provision for carrying SD cards. Feels very solid.
