Manfrotto MT055XPRO03
I purchased this tripod during the holiday season at a great discount from B&H to replace a cheaper tripod. I wanted a tripod that I could mount a separately purchased head on. This is so much better than my old tripod. The only issue is that it is somewhat heavier than my old tripod but its fine for my occasional use. Its tall enough to not require the use of the center column which I love. It seems very sturdy and well made. I would definitely recommend as long as youre not looking for light weight.

Compact and sturdy
Got this to go with my Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod. I ordered this and an Oben with similar specs. Although this was much heavier, it was for good reason as the Oben had a lot of plastic. Also, I like the locking mechanism for the plate. Almost impossible to accidentally release it. I like that the knobs retract so it fits nicely in my backpack.

Heavy but good
After upgrading to a much heavier DSLR, I needed an upgrade from my flimsy starter tripod. Although this thing is a beast and definitely not something I want to carry around, it's solid. Shot on a very windy night recently and it held its ground well.

Great Ballhead for a Mirrorless or DSLR Camera.
My first ballhead I have personally own. I prefer using tripod heads with large plates due to videos I film. Since I am a first time user, I liked how easy it was to use and the tension it offers from the swivel to the adjust getting precise detailed. My only problem is that you need to press a button to release a second trigger to let the quick release plate go. I would recommend them looking over this for a simple way. It took countless times... Worth every penny
Upgraded my meFoto tripod to the Manfrotto 190X aluminum tripod - what a HUGE difference in the stability and security of my camera (shoot with a Canon 6d, Mark ii). It is heavy, but for the price/security, it is worth it. I would absolutely recommend this tripod to other photographers.

Great so far
Took it out and used it right away and have been very pleased. Much lighter than my old metal Manfrotto tripod, but seems very sturdy. Used in high winds and unstable terrain as a platform for spotting scope and surprised how steady it is for the reduced weight. Was looking for lighter and still sturdy platform and it has clearly met those parameters. Leg locks seem to be of good quality, smooth, and hold well. Time will tell about long term durability. Very happy so far.

Great product and value
Very sturdy and lives up to the Manfrotto reputation of being a great product. Great feature of the extension arm which give some additional height. Everything is built solid and would certainly purchase another if the need arises. Always get the best deals and products from B&H.

Solid product, very flexible
Pros: I like the quality and flexibility of the tripod, it's solid and has amazing control with how you can setup and angle your shots. Cons: Being solid, it's rather heavy. And wish they were more clear on add-ons and a accessories. Hard to understand what's needed.

Pretty Nice
Nice style, well-built. I was concerned about the exploding center column some reviewers have mentioned but that seems unfounded so far - only had it a week. They give you two keys to tighten the various joints so thats nice. The reason I give 4 and not 5 stars is because, once horizontal, the column is not very tall nor does it extend far. Ill have to see how useful it is over time but its better than the nothing I had before. Id buy it again for that reason and lack of directly competing products.

Manfrotto did it again!
I recently purchased the Manfrotto MT190XPRO4 tripod, and it is living up to my professional expectations. It is compact, rugged and perfect for both video and still shooting especially in tight and unusual situations. I use it with my Manfrotto Nitrotech fluid head and Manfrotto leveling ball on which I mount my Sony A7Sii, Tilda cage and Shogun package. One of the delightful features is the 90 degree column; it finds many uses! I recommend this tripod highly!

Much more than expected
I needed to upgrade tripods for use with a heavier lens. I did a lot of research and ended up making a decision with this tripod. I am very impressed by everything about the tripod and know that it will work very well for what I intend to use it for.

Superb tripod
I upgraded from an inexpensive metal tripod with a simple ball head to this Manfrotto carbon tripod and a top-end Manfrotto ball head. The tripod is much more stable than my Al one with the head extended vertically. A really nice feature is the ability to mount the arm horizontally, which also is very stable. Another feature is the ability to mount either spikes or claws in place of the rubber feet (both available at extra cost from Manfrotto). The only downside is the warning to stay away from salt water as I live near the seacoast.

Solid, Does The Job Well
Good ball head, does what its supposed to do and seems well made. I got it on sale and was a very good value.

very nice upgrade from my 190CF
recently needed another tripod for my work, wanted something a little taller and more ridgid than my Manfrotto 190 4 section tripod. This was a great decision, lightweight, rigid, and fast to extend legs..

Ballhead locker broke with one use
I bought this head in an emergency because the other Manfrotto head I've bought also broke with a few photo shootings. The first day that I used the locker broke and the head don't move. Sending both to repair and rush to get another head to be able to work. Extremely disappointed.

5 Years Later It Is Failing
This has been a decent tri-pod over the tears. Parts are failing now after almost 5 years. There is a plastic collar in the center post that cracked and dropped my camera to the ground. I would not recommend using the center post in the horizontal position. It is not stable and don't take the chance of it breaking like mine. Also the center post tightening knob stripped. This happened on a photo shoot were I was traveling far from home. I was abl... Show More

Quick release not so quick
The latch for the release get stuck. The release plate keeps turning no matter what I do and the whole head unscrewed and came off.. luckily I keep my strap looped on my arm in case of mishaps

Perfect
I wanted a pan/tilt without breaking the bank. This head fits that bill. It's much easier to use than my ball-head.

Great head for landscapes and fixed images.
I've enjoyed using this head on an old Manfrotto tripod. It's ver easy to use for fixed images. If you needed to shoot moving vertical objects it may be difficult. Panning lefts or right is no problem. Great for macro photography especially coupled with the Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro Lens I use to have an old Manfrotto squeeze handle head that was real nice for a while, but for macro shots this system was not getting it done.
