Get 2 and make sure your usb ports are fast
Works like a true work horse. Take your time getting to now it before your gig. Excellent printer for home
Printing pictures at home up to 8x12 in size. It is very easy to use and don't have to worry about inks. The paper is high quality and satisfactory but not exotic. Driver is good but the icc profiles do not match a calibrated monitor. They are no where close. I am still trying to figure out how to match them, even with a colormunki photo calibration kit. All around great deal
This is a perfect fit for my original DNP RX1 and the newer HS series. The reason I went with the printer is this kit that yields 700 prints on each roll. I can typically get 3 or more events out of my printer before needing a refill. This set is original DNP so there is no fitment issues. I'll say the price isn't the cheapest out there. Decent, but inconsistent quality
My husband and I have a small photo shop, and print pictures in 8x10 or 5x7 pretty frequently. Bought a box of this paper, and had no problems with the first roll- very good quality. Spectacular printer
The DS620A is amazing. I've used it at two events so far with the 5x7 media. The print quality is outstanding and it's incredibly fast. Faster than my assistant could send prints to it. But the number one reason to buy this printer is how easy it is to use. DNP has done a stellar job with the print drivers. Color quality
Pros: Printer is fast and it gets away from the ink jet clogging issues. Cons: Out of the box I had extreme color and contrast issues. Prints were dark and reddish cast. After HOURS working with tech support I finally used a Spyder spectrometer to generate my own printer profile. Colors are now good. Fantastic printer for the price
Quality printer for a good price. Very easy to set up and use with a Microsoft Surface laptop; I used for first time with mobile photo booth and the printing was fast and color was beautiful. I understand how many won't see the value in a printer this expensive, but I'm amazed by it. The price per print is lower than any other photo printer I've used. I purchased this printer for my first photo booth build. I did a bunch of research on other printers, found others that were either faster (just by a few seconds) or cost more/less. Inconsistent performance
Not thrilled with this printer at all. I've been using the RX1 for the past couple years with no problems, but wanted to get a second printer, and one that is faster, so I got the 620A. It does not reliably work throughout an event because of the intense power usage during printing. It'll sometimes work for half of my event, and then stop. DNP DS-40 Printer Paper
The DNP printer is a step above the Snaplab printer. The upfront cost is more but you will save money with the paper in the long run. The quality of the prints is also a significant jump. The highlights are less likely, to wash out becoming muddy. Quality product and super fast printer.
Immediately put in operation upon arrival and follow You tube instruction on how to set up the printer. Set up is very easy and smooth. I ordered the 5x7 photo paper set and upon installing the printer and the set ink, it spit out 3 line up sheet then the green light came on. Confused about paper ammount
Love the DNP 40 printer and have been using it for a few years. I buy 5x7 paper and always had 2 rolls of 200 to equal to 400 prints per box, I ordered the same this past week and when I got the box it said there is 2 rolls of 230 to equal 460 prints. Looking at the picture in the preview for the product it reflects the 400 prints per box, what I'd like to know is if I buy this again will I get the box with 400 or 460? Great and Fast printer
I love the DS RX1, it gives me 4X6 prints in under a minute. The greatest part about it, is with the customers, they watch prints under a minute, no wet paper and the printer evens cuts the paper clean. Sure glad I invested into this printer. One more thing, if you purchase the print server you can obtain extra income by allowing your customer to print from there phone. Now I looking into purchasing the DS RX1 also!!! I use this printer for my studio and also into the photo booth, great!! I can do 4x6 printer or split it in two 2x6. This printer do this by self without you need cut the paper.

Good, but could improve.
Used the Olympus P400 and then Sony UP-DR80 before this dye sub printer. Generally, the colors are excellent and the glossy and matte options very convenient. However, the Sony had much richer blacks and black & white images had neutral grays, whereas the DNP-DS80 look toned and have a color cast. After printing hundreds of 8x10, we did run into 2 rolls that were defective and created color scratches mid-roll. We order this product annually and by the time we encountered the problem, we were told any warranty or return had expired. It's a bit noisy, but the noise is not unpleasant.

Don't waste your money
Every time I will try to print paper gets jam I followed all the instructions from the manual, website and youtube videos. I'm very disappointed I was expecting so much from this printer I had an event this past weekend I had to do a refund and extra fees for not printing the pictures from the Photo Booth the day of the event. B&H: I am very sorry to hear about the problem with your order. Unfortunately I will not be able to set up a return for the paper roll because it has been opened and used So $170 dollars in the trash (paper roll)...!!!

Works Like A Champ!
This is my first dye sub printer after using many inkjet printers and was bought in furtherance of an event photo business. Right out of the box it delivers gorgeous prints. I've used the 4x6 and 5x7 media with no problems at all. Loading the printer is quick & easy. It took a bit of fiddling around in LR to get the orientation and borderless setting just right but then it's very easy to output great looking prints with either glossy or a satin finish. Customers are amazed at both the quality AND the speed that the prints are made.

Works very quickly with beautiful prints
I have a DS40 printer already but needed something that could go 5 hours without reloading. I also wanted to have a backup in the unlikely event the printer failed at an event. So purchased the RX1HS. It seems a little less sophisticated than the DS40 and it's not quite as fast, but it's plenty fast enough for the work I do. The printer is faster than the delay in transmitting the wifi signal from the camera, so I'll never notice the difference in time. I think this will become my main printer and the DS40 will become a backup.

Great deal!
This was a great buy! I purchased this hand in hand with my DS-RX1HS printer. When I did my research, I found that other printers sometimes use different media rolls which come in different sizes. This printer along with these media rolls offer the most prints in one roll. I use it for my photo booth and this media offers great prints, either 4x6 photos or 2x6 strips. I've done a handful of events so far and I'm still not through with one roll. I'm very pleased with the quality and would definitely buy more when I run low.

This is a great time saver
We were looking for a printer that could keep up with us when shooting large corporate events. I had a few issues getting it to work on the iMac. Just be sure to read the directions carefully. it worked first time on my MacBool Pro. This printer was a work horse. It printed very fast and the prints looked great. Changing paper and adding inks, really a ribbon, is very easy and fast. I won't hesitate to buy this again. Heavy duty construction, feels like it's built to last. We printed about 1100 prints and had no issues.

Awesome product
This is a great printer. I am using this for a photo booth application. I ordered this with the WPS pro print server so we could connect wireless to our iPad mini's. When it was all hooked up it did not work with the photo booth app we were using. Note: You will not be able to use your app for this printer since it is not an air print printer. We tried the app that was recommended by DNP and that did not work. The only way we were able to make this work was to purchase an app called wifi booth. Works great now.

Great choice
I purchased this printer after owning a Hitih720 P for two years. Completely dissatisfied with that product! The DNP is fantastic. Easy to transport, economical, and prints faster than the Hiti. The day after I received it I did 350 on site prints, no issues, no problems. Easy to install the drivers and had no problems with Photoshop or Lightroom. Made a call to customer service to see how the response was, got through in a few minutes. Hiti is unfamiliar with the word customer service.

Fast shipping!
I haven't used it yet, I'm on my last roll of original media, I know you have to update the driver on the printer to use this new media, which will apparently speed up the printing - but it isn't backward compatible. So I'm patiently waiting to finish my roll. I'm reviewing this product to say How pleased I am with the price and the speed in which I received my goods. Being in Canada, I sometimes get f**ked on shipping charges - but BHPhoto spared me this pain. So Thank you. Dan.

Easy to install; terrific quality!
We use this paper and ink set for photo shoots at our boutique on a daily basis. This consistently produces professional quality prints and is easy to install. It takes the guess work out of when to change ink by providing a cartridge to use hand-in-hand with each paper roll! We love the ease of use, and our customers love the high quality images they receive as part of their picture packages. Because we take so many pictures, I only wish each roll could last longer...
