Works with WinXP, Win7, Win8. Some background noise does get picked up by mic. My cranium is 21 inch circumfrence, and these fit a little more snug than comfortable and the foam is quite thin which allows you to feel the pressure of the hard plastic on your ears. Sound is average: bass is there, treble is thinner.

Economical Choice
My wife needed a new headset for use with dictation and chatting on her laptop. She loves the weight of these and does not get feedback or any extra noises picked up by the mic.

Does the job well
I purchased this to use with Rosetta Stone and have been very pleased with it. At first I tried using Sony earphones with a built in mic but would have random problems with the voice recognition sections. It was frustrating to say the least but since buying these I have not experienced anything close. The only downside is they are not the that comfortable or secure but for my needs they work fine.

I wish it had said in the description that this headset has a mic jack as well as a headphone jack. It works when I plug it in using a splitter.

Excellent mic, very good headphones
Worked great for a Skype job interview, the mic was super clear and the headphones work well. I also tried it with music, and the headphones were a little lacking there. Good enough for some things, but I'll swap to a better pair when the music is critical.

Great price for Awesome Headset

Sturdy Headset
I'm ruff on headsets has I use it most of the day. Many have broken off at the base of the microphone. These seem to be sturdy and deal well with me tossing them around. Sound is great and noise reduction is good.

inexpensive lightweight decent sound & good mic
For the price this was a good choice for my voice controlled space combat game. The sound quality wasn't as rich(bass was weak) then the more professional headset I got for the keyboard I bought here at B&H but I expected that. The more important feature for me was the microphone, and that worked just fine. Great headphones!
I use these headphones for my online teaching job. I teach almost everyday and needed a strong quality product I needed a strong, reliable, headset for my classes. I got tired of buying cheap imitations and spent more for good quality. So far this set has been great! I'm pleased with it and will be ordering another set soon. I highly recommend them for active users.
